Chapter 1176: Last nights of vacation
[Wrong chapter. please wait.]
The place we ended up in was always going to be a complete white room. A cramped up place that looked too plain and too simple to be something that the others could consider anything like an island.
But, that's just how things were.
[Scanning student ID.]
These special blank small rooms were meant for the theory exams and as the vice headmaster had said before everyone came here, this was a special room that perfectly recreated the spaces that the students had created for themselves during their entrance exams.
[Scam complete. Student ID: Lucifer, confirmed.]
[Initiating environmental recreation.]
The students won't understand unless they finish their written tests since this setting was like that, but the moment they get out of this room after finishing up their exams, they will undoubtedly be surprised by what they would witness.
-Ooooooooooooong!
These special spaces were exceptional and almost the same as the artificial dungeons that the adventurer's association has.
This place could be changed into anything that one wanted and even though they looked completely simple places, small cramped rooms were in fact very costly artefacts that not just anyone could make.
'The fact that academy had them in thousands shows the level of detail the headmaster puts into the exams even in small places like these and since these artifacts are a bound property of the headmaster, even the others who knew about them cannot use them.'
These places were special and not something that anyone could mess with, so at the very least, we knew nothing was going to happen during the time we were talking the written tests.
[ "Hiyo. Did you get there safely? Anything that looks weird?" ]
[ "Why do you sound so happy?" ]
The written tests are going to be something unique, something that the headmaster had created for us himself, and even though he wasn't here personally, he must be watching us all right now from wherever he is.
[ "Hehe, look at these questions, lol." ]
The places that we were in would change into the same places that we had created for ourselves during the entrance exams.
And these places would be even further enhanced this time since it wasn't just some magic at play but a galactic artifact that even the highest ranking organisations of this Worldline uses.
'We know about these place so thinking too much about it is not really important right now. Instead of that, this strange happiness I was feeling from El was worrisome.'
She is rarely happy in this manner, and though our connection, I could tell she was overly excited about something right now.
And since she was telling me to check out the test paper, I had no choice but to gulp down a mouthful of saliva before turning the page in the centre of the newly changed room.
[The written test is starting.]
[2:59:59]
The test would start as soon as one turns the paper over and since there was no time limit before that, I wanted to take my time and look around a little, but… it's a good thing didn't do that.
"Holy… fuck…"
The test questions that the headmaster had prepared for us, these special questions that were a page long and the answers of these things weren't something normal people could even begin to comprehend… these questions that not even many of the higher beings could solve, questions that could even challenge the knowlaof the best scholars of this Worldline…
[ "Hehehe, wanna see who finishes first?" ]
[ "You bet." ]
They were far easier than either of us had expected. In fact, they were questions even easier to answer than the 25 questions that they ask in entrance exams.
[ "He really asked specific questions, lol. What was he thinking~?" ]
There were two kinds of questions in this world, or in any world.
'The questions that one certain answer that was a fact, something that couldn't be changed too much, and then there were vague questions that were philosophical and did not possess a single, certain answer.'
The headmaster had prepared some of the most difficult looking questions for us, but, the one thing common for all these questions was how they all were non-philosophical.
[ "Ah, do we both have the same questions?" ]
That was very unlikely. But, it's better to cross check just to be sure…
[ "Tell me your questions." ]
We have three hours to answer all the questions that were asked of us and that much time wouldn't be enough for the rest of the students if they were given even one of the questions from our papers.
It was practically impossible to write down all the things required for these things in three hours, but, we can do it if we focus well on what we were doing.
[ "Damn… they are different." ]
The questions we had were certainly different in values and meanings, but they were still questions that we can complete without much efforts.
[ "Good luck then. Let's talk after we are done with these things." ]
The questions were about the Worldline, the elements of Worldline, questions that were related to the truths of the Worldline, the laws and how things worked.
'They were questions focused on the evaluation of our knowledge and understanding of the Worldline.'
And if one knew the real answers to these questions, there wasn't much to this entire test anymore.
[{ Master seems to be enjoying this as well. }]
Anna was happy that I was enjoying this thing, and even I was happy to see these questions instead of things asking us about who we were, describing our relationship, our personal point of views on various things, and questions where we would have to lie about a lot of things.
'We had no need to do any of that with the questions we had received this time.'
There have been times in this kind of special exams during our game days where he had asked us absurd questions that we couldn't even answer completely.
'He was a higher being that knew how to poke at someone's bleeding heart.'
His questions were for evaluation of his students and the students of the great academy, and he was ruthless in his testing process.
Even this time, we were expecting at least one or so questions that would take a good long of our time, but instead of being strict with the questions, the great great headmaster was being cautious.
'The only reason he might be asking this kind of question must be because of the epic we just wrote.'
It was the first time in this world that we wrote an epic like this, and the headmaster was testing the individuals that created an epic even before they had ascended.
'He needed to know the extent of our knowledge of the Worldline and just how much we actually know about the things.'
Many things could get complicated if we had some bad intentions towards this world or this great academy. Even the entire Worldline could be in trouble if we used that knowledge in a negative manner.
"He asked about the theoretical stuff to me while the specifics and calculative stuff was asked from her…"
My questions included how a world was formed, what were the authorities of a higher being in a categorised format, what was the purpose of existence of the skills, and why wasn't a higher being possessing both omnipotence and omniscience wasn't allowed direct interference with a lower world.
Her questions included secret things and calculations for things that weren't something just anyone would even understand.
'Some of those questions were so complicated that even I might have made a few mistakes while solving them.'
But, the headmaster already knew how we had this strange mental link so, he didn't try to keep even one of the questions on our papers similar to the other.
The questions were different but something that the two of us could attend and answer the best on our own.
'Which was good.'
We had to go and check up on the island and the rest of the students that would finish the tests at the same time as us.
'They were facing a threat right now.'
We were on an isolated island far off somewhere no one knew about unless they were a higher being or someone possessing their powers.
'Located far off in the northern sea, in a secluded space right beside the great death zone of the north, the (Frozen death canyon), this island was the only landmass that was hidden away from the normal eyes of this world, and was completely under the great academy.'
Not many knew about the existence of this place, but information on it wasn't something that one cannot obtain if they had the right amount of money.
The demonic humans that were undoubtedly going to attack this place today were going to come through various places and we were already prepared to stall for time on our end.
"We don't really have to kill all those bastards and they would have (-ve) Oz so they wouldn't really be of much use to us.
But, handing them over to the academy alive or dead will give us a better reward than what we would get after only selling their hearts.
[ "I'm almost done, hahaha! You're going to lose, darling!" ]
[ "Am I?" ]
The written test was going to end soon for us and then we will move on to the real deal, but finishing first was important this time.
[ "And with these last few-" ]
[ "I'm done." ]
The test was not easy to write and I had to use my telekinesis to use multiple pens at once to finish the whole thing but I managed to finish it before her.
And, at least in this scenario, it was a good thing.
[ "Bastard." ]
Not only did it mean I will get another wish, it also means I'm winning against her in something.
'And that makes things the most fun here.'
