[Eon's POV: ]

"You're not going to tell us where you two go, will you?"

It was time to depart.

"You know how this goes already. Well, we will write to you this time at least."

The completion of the first year in the academy, there had been many ups and downs that we faced in this time even though the time almost flew after we came back from that small break after the midterms.

Still, not even one year had completely finished by this time.

There were many things that we went through, but none were that impacting the relationships that we have.

"We will see each other soon… if we get the chance, we will call as well so look forward to it."

I smiled at Tia, bowed and said my goodbye to Mia, and even though captain Alpha had many things to tell me, I simply smiled and shook my head, affirming he wasn't going to get anything from me this time either.

'And he didn't have much time left anyway so he better be careful of his following actions. North wasn't going to be as kind to him as us.'

He was stubborn and ambitious so, at the very least, what he was aiming for was big. But the way he was going about this, the way he was using her for his own advantage, was pretty despicable.

She was a partner of ours before she was a princess or a 'partner' of his, so he should back off when he still had the chance or at the very least, show her his sincerity.

"Well…"

It wasn't my place to interfere. They were going to sort this out when they were in the north so, not thinking about them, I'm going to focus on what I have before me.

"See you soon, everyone."

Rein was waiting a few steps ahead already and we were going to vanish just as we usually do.

Our airship had already left its port so we will have to catch up to them, and we cannot delay our departure any longer.

"Alright."

They were going to be on their way soon as well.

Almost all of them were going to go back, even Ball was going home for the holiday, so the rest of them should leave as well.

'I've told my house members about it, but if any of them stays back, they are going to have an earful from me.'

The academy island was going to be much quieter with the children gone for a while, but since the activities of the adventurers and the merchants was going to be increased in our absence, it island was going to stay as cheerful as it was right now.

"Shall we?" Holding her hand and glancing at the academy castle, at the garden, at Sir Quesnel one last time… and with a helpless smile, I nodded at her.

"Yeah. Let's go."

We are going to see each other soon.

I shouldn't feel so anxious right now… but this feeling in my heart…

I just cannot ignore it.

We weren't going to see that familiar scenery for a while now. Perhaps we will wake up to the sound of waves and the scent of the ocean for the following few weeks, but we are going to miss this place.

The blue bees… we will also miss the crazy Druid, miss Ivy.

'The Rainbow flamingos will miss us as well, but we have said our goodbyes to them already, so it should be fine.'

Unlike the bees, they perceive time differently anyway so, they aren't going to be that surprised after we come back after a few months.

After Rein used shadow travel skill, we were transported to the very end of the island, and from there, we jumped down.

With my help, the two of us rode on the winds and reached the Airship in an invisible state.

Avoiding eyes until we reach the next destination was necessary so we did not use any unnecessary magic or skills.

The ones watching us, those who were keeping track of all our actions, weren't going to find us because of her origin skill, and unless they could detect Solnova, they weren't going to know of the simple uneven movements of the winds.

'Be it Captain Alpha or the people of the resident districts keeping an eye on us and the other students…'

They can try as much as they want since even if they end up finding us somehow…

'The moon will be watching over them.'

[{ "Took you long enough." }]

Now that we were on the ship, we looked back at the academy, at the big light, the power source that ran the academy, the giant tree that was as big as the sky piercing academy castles…

We looked at the outskirts that looked the most distant and the residential areas on the right that didn't look that special.

The dorms looked cool from here, and in my eyes… they looked much prettier than any kind of truth seeing eyes could define them.

[{ "Well, we made it. I don't think any of you want anything to eat since we just had lunch so we will be going to bed now." }]

Carla, Alf, Chry, Zoe, and Quin were in the ship as well and since this was a personal airship sent by our family instead of an academy ship, we were the only ones on board aside from grandpa Zhen's clone and a few of his students.

[{ "Oh! Right~! Sister Carla! Big brother is tired! He should rest!" }]

[{ "Of course he should! I was going to tell him that as well!" }]

Both Zoe and Carla wanted me to rest since both of them knew how I had spent most of my last night preparing for everything that they had eaten today.

There was a reason I was able to prepare so much today. I had been preparing for the last two days… making so much was not a simple thing, especially when I was making it in the secret room of my dorm room.

'It was difficult and straining.'

But I did it, and at the end of it, I got the reward that I had looked forward to in the form of various reactions, genuine appreciation for my food, and the thanks of various people that were able to say goodbye to their friends thanks to my party.

'They wouldn't have stayed behind had they not known about the party and the food, so it was a good thing in many ways.'

The party was a success, and we enjoyed it, at least I did.

I know all about what Rein was talking with the others but it was a good talk if I say so myself.

'She warned them, and it was a good thing.'

Now, at the very least, they will know when to believe me and when to be wary of me.

She did a good job warning them like that.

[{ "Lucifer, Uriel. You know you have to rest, right? If I catch either of you doing anything when I come knock on your door, you're going to be in trouble so you better be resting when I come." }]

With Quin coming with us, we knew our time here was going to be full of surprises. We won't be able to do anything as freely as we wanted, and even if we end up doing something that we usually do, forgetting to look after ourselves, we know how we are going to be scolded by her.

'Quin for us was like Zoe was to Anna. She restricted us, and even though we did not want to, she reminded us of the importance of rest.'

We needed rest, everyone did, regularly at that.

But we tend to forget that, it's a common thing in families like ours actually so having a Quin is nothing less than a blessing for us.

[{ "Yes ma'am~. Rest assured. Resting is what we wanna do, and resting is what we will do. Do not worry about anything~." }]

Rein said that, but she was holding my hand— she was scratching my palm.

She was up to no good, alright?

[{ "I'm tired… anyway, haaaa~." }]

But I had to play along since I knew the consequences of not doing what she wanted after she had done something good.

'She used a coin, so… I have no choice either.'

Looking at her after confirming that Quin was convinced, I shook my head at her in a negative way.

But she was nodding, emphasising it was inevitable.

'You know I'm tired, right?'

'Of course I do. That's why we should do it. Hehe, seeing you is fun when you're tired and want to finish it quickly.'

She was becoming more and more like mom day by day… I should put in more effort or else our future will become a much darker shade of grey.

'You know what? Let's do it. You should change up, I'll change up as well, and then we will-.'

'Are we finally role playing?!'

We were talking through eye contact… and she was going to shout that last thing out loud if I had not grabbed her hand in time.

Sound travelled faster inside this ship so I am damn sure we would have been trouble without it.

'No we are not doing anything like Them. I'm simply saying let's change up and go to bed, ok? We can do the other thing you wanted to try.'

'The other thing…? Which other-…! Oh! The other thing! Yes! Yes yes yes! Let's try that~.'

She was getting a little too excited over something that wasn't even physical. She sure is a child sometimes.

'Yeah, sure…'

She was excited right now, but I'm pretty sure how she's gonna look like after I wake up.

'Though I don't want to do this…'

We need this, or else, I'll be in trouble.

'And I don't want that.'
