Jumping down from **Red-Eyes Black Dragon**, Hayato scanned his surroundings vigilantly.

If they had followed the layout of **Castle of Dark Illusions** and entered through the proper entrance, Hayato and the others would have had to climb the tower floor by floor, breaking through obstacles, to reach the Altar where Kaiba was trapped.

However, because the Giant Bird Aircraft crashed midway and they switched to **Red-Eyes Black Dragon** to crash into the Castle by taking an unconventional route, they arrived directly at a spacious Hall on the top floor of the Castle.

In stark contrast to the elaborate defenses outside the Castle, the Hall was remarkably quiet and empty, not at all resembling the location of the Final Boss.

Joey Wheeler waited until Yugi Mutou was the last to jump down from **Red-Eyes Black Dragon**, then also put away his Card and looked behind them. There, the large hole they had crashed through to break into **Castle of Dark Illusions** was slowly closing, as if the Castle itself were alive.

"Thanks to Yugi Mutou, I was able to come to you, big brother." Mokuba stood beside Kaiba, smiling as he looked at Yugi Mutou and the others. Beside his brother, Mokuba finally dropped the facade of a tough little adult he had put on, likely because he once again had someone he could rely on.

Though he had secretly acknowledged the help from Yugi Mutou and the others in his heart, Kaiba was his usual tsundere self. He let out a cold snort, not willing to concede anything verbally. "Hmph, just a waste of effort. I could have cleared this game by myself without you."

"Kaiba, you really are as annoying as ever," Joey Wheeler said, annoyed. "We went through a lot just to get here to save you."

"You, a mere mortal, trying to save me? Hmph hmph, you can't even save yourself. You probably got saved by Yugi Mutou and Hayato multiple times along the way." Kaiba looked at Joey Wheeler coldly, not taking his presence seriously.

Just then, several eerie laughs echoed from the depths of the Hall behind them.

Mai Valentine frowned. "Who's playing tricks over there!"
