Invasion of the United States

Chapter 26: Escape_2

There are a few men in the team, all of whom live in the Roslin district, are senior government officials, and have family members in urgent need of medical attention.

These men gathered together and launched an attack on the National Guard.

After securing the military truck, Orno, a marine, started timing, shouting loudly, "Three minutes, we only have three minutes.

The checkpoint at the intersection calls out to the departing trucks every five minutes. If something seems off, they will quickly respond."

Zhou Qingfeng walked to the unconscious leading sergeant, slapped him awake, and sternly asked, "What's the radio code?"

A dozen women and children emerged from the apartment building, frantically climbing onto the truck, some holding crying babies, others helping elderly with difficulty walking.

Fear and hope were mixed on their faces as they anxiously boarded, trying to grasp the last straw of survival.

The sergeant watched the scene with a grim expression, clenched his teeth and said, "I understand your survival instinct, but running around like this will only worsen the epidemic.

People and vehicles from different districts cannot interact, even if you seize the truck, you won't be able to leave. Stop now, there's still time, I won't report."

Zhou Qingfeng pressed the muzzle of his gun against the sergeant's forehead, his voice cold as ice, "Say something useful, don't let your blood spatter all over me."

After a moment of silence, the sergeant finally compromised, "The radio code is 'Lincoln', the reply is 'Kennedy'.

But remember—this code is only useful within this district, once outside, you'll be stopped immediately."

Three minutes.

This hastily assembled group took only three minutes to cram everyone onto the truck.

The compartment was packed with people, some huddled in the corner trembling, others clutching the handrails at the edge, fearing they might be thrown out.

"Hold on tight, everyone, it's definitely going to be bumpy." Zhou Qingfeng ordered in a low voice, then grabbed the truck's radio.

Sure enough, less than half a minute later, routine check-in came from the guard platoon leader over the radio, "B-7 patrol truck, report your status."

Zhou Qingfeng pressed the communication button, his voice calm and without flaw, "Lincoln."

After a brief silence, the response came, "Kennedy. Continue the patrol."

Hoo—someone in the compartment let out a long breath.

The truck started again, the engine growling as it turned, heading towards the barbed wire blocking off the district.

A hundred meters from the barbed wire, Zhou Qingfeng grabbed the M4A1 rifle fitted with a silencer and an ACOG scope, leapt off the truck.

Marine Orno worried Zhou Qingfeng would be overwhelmed alone and accompanied him, scrambling onto a rooftop of a nearby villa with a military binoculars in hand, observing the surroundings.

The roof offered a wide view, allowing them to see the situation for hundreds of meters. Zhou Qingfeng knelt on one knee, the gun barrel steadied on Orno's shoulder.

"This shitty gun isn't accurate, are you sure you can hit?" Orno frowned.

Zhou Qingfeng didn't answer, but adjusted his breathing, first aiming at the surveillance camera on the barbed wire, then turning to the guard tower about four hundred meters away.

"I haven't trained specifically for sniping, I can only say I'll give it a try. Or would you like to?"

Orno shook his head, "I'm a marine helicopter pilot, not a marine sniper, I haven't trained for it either."

Poof! Poof! Poof!

A three-shot burst, the muzzle only emitted a muffled explosive sound.

Four hundred meters away, the guard tower's soldiers realized the bullets hit the tower, instantly dropped down, and shouted in panic, "Gunfire, someone's shooting at us!"

But the soldiers focused on dropping down, not daring to lift their heads or figure out where the bullets came from.

"Go!" Without the tower's watch, the escape naturally became smoother. To save time, Zhou Qingfeng grabbed Orno and jumped directly from the two-and-a-half-story rooftop.

"FUCK!" Orno cursed mid-air, only realizing when landing that he was being cradled like a damsel by Zhou Qingfeng, cushioned by his strong legs, unscathed.

The two rushed back to the truck, the people in the compartment looked over tensely.

"The barbed wire, crash through it!" Zhou Qingfeng urged in a low voice.

The army lieutenant colonel driving the truck floored the accelerator; the military truck roared as it accelerated towards the barbed wire blocking the district.

Boom—!

The barbed wire was torn open a gap, the truck crushed over twisted metal, charging into the next district.

On the public channel, the guard units around the blocked district erupted over the radio, "What's going on? Who's under attack?"

"Which direction? Which direction?! Report, are there any casualties?"

"Damn it, stop shouting over the radio, don't jam the communication channel. Can't anyone explain the situation clearly?"

The military truck was sturdy, with ample horsepower, deliberately choosing the weak point in the guard's defense to break through.

Phil, who wore glasses, leaned out of the truck window, staring intently at the sky, suddenly shouting, "Hurry, hurry, there's a drone overhead! We'll be spotted soon!" This chapter's true source is My Virtual Library Empire (M|V|LEMP-YR).

Zhou Qingfeng grabbed the walkie-talkie, his voice calm, "Lucy, this is Victor. It's time to move out."

The Thomas Family garage door swung open fiercely, Lucy stepped on the gas pedal, the Pika roared out.

Old Hammer sat in the passenger seat, clutching a shotgun, perplexed and asked, "Where are we going?"

Taking advantage of the guards' command not yet reacting, the two vehicles converged at the 'Roslin' subway station entrance.

By now, the National Guard's drone had already flown over, hovering like a black mechanical insect in the air.

The high-definition camera on the belly of the drone, like a cold compound eye, locked onto every moving figure at the subway station entrance.
