Chapter 10: Too Exciting_3
"No, no, no, I'm afraid of heights. I can't do this. There's no way I can jump across!"
"Shut up, don't make a sound," Zhou Qingfeng ordered in a low voice. He then supported Lucy by her waist and legs, lifting her up entirely.
Lucy struggled violently, almost losing her voice, "You're crazy! We're eight stories up! It's hard enough for one person to jump across, and you want to carry me over?
I'm very heavy, over one hundred fifty pounds! Put me down, I don't want to fall to my death!"
In order to save her life, she didn't even hesitate to reveal her weight.
But Zhou Qingfeng turned a deaf ear to her, his arms holding her in an iron-like grip. To prevent her from screaming, he simply covered her mouth with a piece of cloth.
Once they were ready, Zhou Qingfeng held Lucy and ran along the rooftop, his steps steady and powerful. After accelerating for more than ten meters, he stepped onto the railing of the rooftop and leaped with force.
"Mmm, mmm, mmm..." Lucy, who had her mouth covered, opened her eyes wide, a terrified whimper escaping her throat.
At the moment they were airborne, it felt as if she was being thrown into the clouds, her body soaring into heaven, and the weightlessness of the descent made her feel like she was falling into an abyss.
In less than a second, her heart almost burst out of her chest, and all she could hear was the whistling wind rushing past her ears.
Zhou Qingfeng appeared extremely relaxed, his face not red and breath not gasping. He crossed the gap between the two buildings, landed on the rooftop of the opposite building, then decelerated in small steps until he stopped steadily.
Lucy, on the other hand, felt like she had walked the line between life and death, her face pale and body trembling.
When Zhou Qingfeng set her down, her legs went weak, and she could hardly stand.
She glanced down at the gap between the buildings they had just crossed, then turned around and punched Zhou Qingfeng's chest with all her might, her voice on the verge of tears, "Madman! You're a madman! My grandfather was right, you are a big madman! You don't fear death, and you don't care about others' lives either!"
After cursing for a while, she suddenly found Zhou Qingfeng staring at her coldly, with a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
She immediately realized she had misspoken, her voice cutting off abruptly. She stammered, "Uh... did I say something wrong?"
"You recognized me, didn't you?" Zhou Qingfeng asked, expressionless, his voice low and icy.
Lucy was instantly at a loss for words, a flash of embarrassment crossing her face. She stammered for a long time before saying, "Who told you your disguise skills were so bad but pretended to be FBI? Even a fool could tell you're not right. We're even now, let's run, the police will catch up soon."
She bent down to pick up her suitcase and pulled Zhou Qingfeng's hand, running to the other side of the apartment.
They originally intended to go downstairs directly, but there were still police officers on the ground floor. So Lucy gritted her teeth and pointed to the rooftop of a building further away, asking, "Can you jump over there?"
With the experience from the first jump, Zhou Qingfeng appeared more composed. This time, he didn't need to throw the suitcase first; he directly picked up Lucy along with the suitcase, ready to run and jump again.
"Wait!" Lucy suddenly shouted, then bit onto her collar to prevent herself from screaming too loudly or biting her tongue in excitement. CatchtheformattedversionatM|V|LEM_PYR.
She took a deep breath and nodded vigorously to indicate she was ready.
Zhou Qingfeng said nothing more, accelerating, and then leaping off the ground with Lucy in his arms once more.
Despite having experienced it once, Lucy still felt an out-of-body fright. She bit down on her collar hard, her cheeks almost cramping, and her eyes widen in terror.
When they landed again, Lucy's face was still pale, her forehead covered in cold sweat, gasping for breath. But an extreme excitement flashed in her eyes as she muttered softly, "This is even more thrilling than a roller coaster."
