Chapter 321 - Dropping a few bombs back home
After completing what I came for in the new Zanahavre territory in the world tree realm, I made sure to make a stop at Eieneos as well. I teleported straight out of Peony's parlour to the teleportation portal in the mini-plaza in my kingdom. I would have loved a direct teleportation path from anywhere straight to the world tree realm but I want to keep the previous security and safety functions intact so I kept things as they are. The hassle is barely noticeable for me anyways.
For a change, I decided to walk around the garden instead of teleporting straight inside the palace. I simply enjoyed the ever cool breeze and the scent of fresh flowers in my garden. As usual, the first one I saw was Samir, tending to the plants in the garden like an ever-efficient gardener. (Author's Note: She's really treating him like a royal gardener. LOL)
I greeted him with a simple hand wave and a smile but continued walking towards the palace. He looked stunned for a few seconds as he saw me walk past him without saying anything. When he came back to his senses, he started changing his clothes and cleaning himself up with magic while running to catch up to me. How cute.
When I entered the palace, I saw all my beloved people in the spacious living room area. Ioannis seems to be studying under my mother's tutelage while the twins are playing in their own little worlds with my father was watching over them on the side.
In moments like this, I feel happy that I was brought to this world. For someone who was sent away by their parents only to suffer a life of being alone back in earth, I should have been angry. I dchose to be objective though since everybody had their own circumstances and my parents simply did not want me to be included in the war.
If I stayed here, a barely 2-year old child at that time, I would have died and then went through endless reincarnations full of suffering as a mortal. I may have been reincarnated in Earth several times as well but since I only remember one of my lives, it felt like I only suffered once compared to them whose soul can remember each and every lifetime. They did everything to save me from that suffering so I could not even have the heart to feel even an ounce of anger towards them.
All these thoughts went through my mind in a span of only a few seconds. I think I am just drained from having so many things to do recently that I started reminiscing about unnecessary things. I thought I hid my emotions well but I saw Ioannis immediately standing up from his seat then he almost ran to hug me. He then whispered, "What are you thinking about that you looked like someone bullied you for a second there?"
I chuckled and hugged him back and said, "I was just reminiscing about my life back in my previous planet. No one bullied me. I am the bully in this world." I chuckled happily to show Ioannis I am okay and to stop him from worrying.
He loosened his hug and stared a few seconds at my face, seemingly checking if I was really fine like what I said. I smiled at him sweetly then Ioannis suddenly gave me a fiery kiss without regard that we aren't the only people in the living room.
I thought the kiss would end after a few seconds but it lasted way longer than that. I heard Samir cough and then he muttered under his breath, "Can you not flirt in front of me? It hurts though it doesn't show on my face."
That comment made Ioannis stop and I saw his face super red in embarrassment. He then looked at Samir and said, "I apologize. I just... missed her."
Ioannis then suddenly looked at me with an accusing gaze which surprised me. I asked him, "What did I even do? You are the one who suddenly hugged and kissed me."
He rolled his eyes and scoffed at me. Without a hint of any propriety he said out loud in front of everyone, "Why haven't you bed this guy till now. Just do it already so he won't be this bitter anymore!"
I laughed awkwardly and looked at Samir who was now looking away with his neck and ear tips all red. I looked at Ioannis then shook my head. He will never learn how to speak with a filter in this life.
I changed the topic by walking past Ioannis and hugging my parents instead. I then picked up Ianthe and Iosef that had been waving their hands in the air, asking to be carried by me. I cooed and played with my twins instead and just ignored their father for now.
While the twins are comfortably sitting their chubby bums on my lap, I nonchalantly announced that Laerad is done with most of his work and will be visiting soon. I also told them that the fairies are already living in the new world tree realm as tenants.
My parents, Lia and Aelorus laughed loud at the mention of "tenants". They praised me and Laerad for doing a great job in making sure that those mystiques settle in and pay rent for living in the new realm compared to before where they were just staying for free. My parents totally agreed with me in protecting the world tree realm and also Laerad's welfare as well.
While they are still celebrating, I dropped another bomb and only Ioannis was not surprised about it this time. I told my parents and Samir that Laerad is already pregnant. I saw how their three pairs of eyes almost popped out from their sockets.
I looked at Samir's shocked face and teased him, "What is so surprising? Aren't the two of you trying to seduce me for the longest time? And guess what, you'll be like him soon."
He looked at me in a daze for a few seconds then he nodded absentmindedly. I giggled and then continued by saying that I will be waking up the red haired buff guy before I leave Eieneos as per my consultation with Samir.
Samir scoffed and then told me, "I don't care who wakes up next from those three as long as I get what you promised me. It has to be me before any of them."
I nodded in understanding and smiled at him. I looked at my parents this time and they looked like they were about to cry as if I did something that they were really proud of. My father specifically was ecstatic at the fact that he is going to have more grandchildren and deity level ones at that.
I stayed in Eieneos for a few days to spend some time with Ioannis and the twins. One day, I asked Ioannis and my parents for a private meeting in my study. The topic was the preparation of what I termed as a "honeymoon suite" for my future use since I will be bringing Kayden and Dimitri here soon. My parents looked at me in confusion and did not know what exactly I am asking of them.
Ioannis laughed and volunteered to explain it to them on my behalf. He started explaining that "suite" is simply a spacious room that will give a couple their needed privacy. He then simply explained "honeymoon" as that thing that newly married couples do or for short, consummating the marriage.
My father, being very keen about these things, clapped his hands in excitement. He then said happily, "It simply means that the room will give me more grandchildren soon, right? Consider it done!"
I sighed at how simple and shameless my father's comment was. At this point, my only hope in controlling this unruly father of mine is my mother.
Just to make sure that my father won't go overboard with this task, I clearly gave points to consider to my mother in terms of what I expect to see inside my "honeymoon suite" and begged her to control my father's crazy ideas. My mother nodded and automatically glared at my father whose energy immediately dwindled by a few notches due to fear.
Ioannis seemingly confused, asked me why I was building a separate room when we had our honeymoon in the master's bedroom (also known as my own room). I looked at him with a smirk and responded, "That's because you are my main consort and you are special. I want to spoil you the most by being the only one that I have brought inside my own room for that. Don't mention it to the others to avoid issues especially with the overly dramatic ones."
Ioannis looked at me for a few seconds and laughed, "I got it. Don't mention it to the overly dramatic ones. Let's just call them "Kayden", "Lark" and "Aurum"."
I laughed at what Ioannis said and then he suddenly stopped laughing. He suddenly scolded me again, "What's so funny, huh? You think I am happy managing a household with overly dramatic men? Can't you get normal ones from now on? I was lucky that Samir and Laerad were manageable at least. If you don't want me to go crazy..."
I looked at him and had to cut him off, "I want to apologize in advance but I can't promise that I won't be getting overly dramatic ones from now on. I have already taken in others. It is just that you haven't met them yet so..."
He looked at me with a face that clearly says "You're unbelievable". I looked at him with a helpless smile.
He stayed silent so I had to coax him a bit. I asked cautiously, "Hubby, I know you are the main consort but I thought of a good idea so you do not have to manage the others specifically the mystique ones. We can have Laerad handle the mystiques and you handle the deified ones. Would that be alright?"
He looked at me and asked grumpily, "Have you asked him about it? Did he agreed?" I shook my head and softly answered, "I asked you first. If you don't like it, I won't tell him about it."
He then looked at me with pursed lips and then sighed. He then nodded his head and answered, "We can try doing that then. Ask him if he agrees with this setup."
