Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 299 - The next step of the rescue plan

Upon appearing in Marahuyo, I saw a lot of broken things on the ground and there was screaming and loud crying in most areas too. If you would describe it in one word, it would be "mayhem".

There were guards seemingly fighting off some of my supposed patients to stop them from rampaging further on one side while on the other, I can see some men trying to pin down a man while he is crying painfully trying to reach out to Peyton and his two younger brothers. The three deer brothers looked scared and they were crying too.

I told them to hold the fort till I came back and it was puzzling how the 9 men have all waken up so quickly. I then had a sudden realization that they must have gained higher resistance to medicinal effects due to being constantly being drugged before in Izvratya. This is such a headache!

I approached the two men battling the guards and froze them in place. I held them by their necks and pinned them to the ground. Though they can move, they were staring daggers at me as if they want to tear me to pieces. I stared back at them with equal intensity and then talked to all of the nine men telepathically though it sounded more of a threat, "Stop messing around in my territory! You better calm down before I decide to kill you. Then, you are just going to waste my efforts in healing you and Artak's begging so that I get you out of that filthy village."

Upon hearing Artak's name and the confirmation that they were out of the filthy village, the nine men calmed down almost instantly. They all closed their eyes and fell back to deep sleep. Once everything calmed down, we placed the nine men inside the hospital we have built before again while the rest of my citizens started cleaning up the signs of destruction from all the fighting earlier.

As for me, I am feeling tired so I directly went back to my mansion to rest. I took a quick shower and changed my clothes. I even used a cleaning spell just to get the smell of medicine and to disinfect myself as well. I was treating sick mystiques earlier and I don't want to spread any contagious diseases whatsoever.

My three clingy men knocked at the door after about 15 minutes. It seems that they have learned how to wait a bit and let me do my thing before coming. When I finally opened the door, they all ran inside and made themselves comfortable on my bed. I sighed and shook my head then simply laid in the middle of the three clingy men.

I woke up at around 9 in the morning. I freshened up and gave my three men food that they could eat for breakfast. The three decided to leave and share the food with the others living in the compound near my villa. As for me, i dressed myself lavishly to give justice to my act of being rich, haughty and sleazy. After I am done with my preparation, I teleported to the borders nearest Lyartaim.

I appeared in the middle of the forest then simply walked proudly towards the gates of the Lyartaim sanctuary. I did not even bother hiding my presence or staying quiet at all. I was immediately greeted by the guards who looked at me from head to toe then asked my reason for visit in a not-so-nice way. I haughtily replied, "I am here to spend my money on interesting things. I heard that I can buy unique pets here."

My response seemed to have angered the guards as I saw their eyes turn red from keeping their anger in. I know that being called a "pet" is offending to beast men but as I said, I have to look the part so I just apologized to them in my heart.

Though I feel sorry about what I said earlier, my outside appearance doesn't show it as I stared down the guards with a naughty smirk. I tauntingly asked, "Aren't you going to let me in? Aren't you all in desperate need of money? Oh! Did calling you guys "pets" offended you? Does that angry look on your face mean that you want to fight me?"

The other guards looked stunned at my series of questions and decided to swallow back their anger, not wanting any further trouble. Only one guard stayed looking at me as if he wanted to kill me. This guard is one of the good ones listed in my "To Take Back List". I smiled at him and poked his shoulder. I then whispered under my breathe, "I will make sure to buy you first as my pet."

I walked past him as the other guards made way for me into the sanctuary. The guard that I taunted tried to run after me but the other guards pulled him back warning him that he will be punished severely for offending a guest if he continues. I looked back at him and smiled tauntingly making him shiver in anger. That guy really is interesting as Artak and the other beast men in Marahuyo said.

I was welcomed by a beautiful woman who introduced herself as Destine, a fox beast woman. She said that she is one of the leaders of Lyartaim that is tasked to guide visitors and customers who wanted to look around, purchase things and experience the unique services in their sanctuary.

I detected a scent coming off of her body that has a mild effect of persuading someone to do your bidding. She definitely fits the your-guiiding role to encouraging sales and good feelings of cooperation albeit using deceitful ways.

I followed her in a nonchalant manner while looking around the area. I can see several beast men scurrying away to hide inside their homes. I asked Destine if they sell slaves and how much each one is. She smilingly said they do but it isn't that cheap. I smiled back and replied confidently that money isn't a problem.

The greedy woman smiled sweetly upon hearing my words. She then asked how many I am looking for and if the slaves should have a particular skill or use. I replied readily that I will but as many as I fancy. As for use, I simply needed strong laborers for my farms and business at the port area and maybe a few that looked good to play with when I'm bored. I said the last sentence as I smiled lecherously and Destine immediately understood what I meant as she nodded energetically.

As first part of my tour, she started telling me about the industries in Lyartaim and some agricultural products that I may be interested in purchasing for my businesses. I gladly accepted her offer and bought some seeds and different types of farming produce in bulk. I purposely showed her that I have a storage bag with me, an extremely expensive spell-enchanted item, indirectly telling my guide that I can definitely afford anything I want.

She guided me around the market area more enthusiastically afterwards. Just like what I said to her the first time we greeted each other, I pointed at random things in the market and purchased them on a whim. The items ranged from fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, rootcrops, herbs, freshly mined ores, handicrafts and even common hunting tools and basic weapons. Destine's smile never left her face as she saw the sheer amount of money I used to buyout all the resources for sale at the market. On my end, I was quite free with spending my money since most likely they would purchase their necessities in Sklavryet so the money will just come back to me.

After scouring the whole market, she said that we can go through the living areas so I can chose people I want to be my slaves. I looked at her inquiringly and asked, "Are you sure I can just choose anyone?" She nodded her head and said that it was a special offer for an amazing customer like me.

Since it is what she said, she never expected the next thing I said, "Call everyone to come out of their homes. I will wait at the plaza and do my picking there. Don't you dare trick me since I can sense if you have anyone hidden in these houses or even underground that you did not want me to see."

I smiled at her menacingly and Destine immediately paled. I can see panic setting in her but still she still followed my instructions even if she was clearly hesitant. Did she think that I won't take the offer of "taking anyone" seriously?

She called on some of the guards to tell them my instructions while she guided me towards the plaza. I haughtily asked for a chair, a table and some refreshments served to me while I wait.

I sat on a chair in the middle of the plaza with my legs crossed waiting for the people to be called out. I leisurely drank and ate what they prepared for me but only after checking if it was poisoned with a magical tool in front of my guide and the people that served it. Destine could only give me a forced smile while I looked at her tauntingly. I don't have a single care in the world if I anger all the leaders of Lyartaim to death.

After about a quarter of an hour, several groups of people came out from their homes and into the plaza. Some were even being dragged out against their will accompanied by the sound of angry screaming, begging and loud crying of children coming from different directions. I looked at everything that is happening with a cold and emotionless face as if I am used to all these things. I have to stay in character since I know that there are many eyes observing me right now, both overtly and covertly.

Once everything has settled down a bit, I spread my mana openly to check the whole sanctuary for anybody that may be hiding from my sight. I immediately detected three that were left in their homes. I looked towards Destine and coldly said, "I know that this isn't everybody. Bring out the three who aren't here. Now."
