Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 270 - Surprising Dimitri (Part 2)

After Dimitri has lost his consciousness, I carried him to the bathroom to bathe him up. I also changed the sheets and freshened up the room. After bathing him, I healed him leaving only a few marks I made on his skin then dressed him up presentably. After everything has been set, I immediately teleported right outside the door of his grandparents' villa in Arista.

I knocked on the door for almost 10 minutes before Grandma Valeria opened the door for me. It is indeed quite early, less than an hour after sunrise, and since I went back home without a heads up, they aren't expecting any visitors today. She beamed at me as she saw me outside the door, carrying a Dimitri who is sleeping soundly.

She looked at her grandson and then me as if asking why the guy had to be carried back home. I walked into the house and told her that it was my fault why he was very tired that he had to be carried.

I went up the stairs and into our shared room to tuck him to bed. He will be very surprised when he wakes up. I exited the room quietly and went down the stairs to help grandma in the kitchen.

Once inside the kitchen, I saw grandma bringing out more food since there are two more mouths to feed for breakfast. I gladly helped her in the meal preparation. I asked her where Grandpa Ruslan was and she said that he had an early walk around the farm and he'll be back in a bit.

After about 15 minutes into our meal preparation, we heard the backdoor of the villa open and Granpa Ruslan walked in. He was a bit sweaty but he looked way more lively and energetic compared to the last time I saw him. The elderly couple repeatedly told me that the supplements I gave them made wonders to their overall health as if it made them more than 10 years younger.

I smiled at them and praised them for looking younger and stronger than before. I did explain to them what the supplement would do to their bodies and the final result once they finished up all those jars I gave them. They smiled at me sweetly and then nodded their heads.

Once all the food has been cooked, I helped in setting the table. It is barely 7am now and I don't think my husband upstairs will wake up anytime soon. Grandpa asked where Dimitri was and I simply smiled meaningfully that he was very tired last night and might need to sleep in a bit more. He coughed and passively said that I just have to save some food for when he's up and feels hungry.

Since I have not visited the farms in a while, I bid my goodbye as I told them that I will make an inspection of the plants, workers and the territory. I plan to host another community kitchen lunch later to have some fun and food with all the workers too.

As I started going around the farm, I saw how it was now more organized. A group of workers are now given houses near the plots of land that they are assigned to take care of, making their job easier. Each plot of land has a specific crop to ensure that they can focus their energy on caring for it. It was a much better system in terms of harvest yields than having them take care of several types of crops at the same time.

When the workers saw me, they almost ran to greet me good morning. I happily told them that we'll cook and eat together for lunch so they better bring some nice ingredients for me to cook in a bit. They excitedly nodded and told the others about it.

My next stop were the other buildings that I asked them to build before for food processing factories and warehouses to keep the harvests fresh. They also have designated places for farm animals now, though I have not given a signal to purchase them.

I called for the families assigned to take care of this part of the hacienda and told them that they will start taking care of animals soon. These families have experience in taking care of farm animals but were never given a chance to since. I specifically assigned them to this part of the hacienda since I have a plan for expanding the production.

I started releasing the animals that I rescued from Crimson Kingdom and placed them in their new homes. It consisted of at least a dozen of each of chicken, duck, quail, pig, cow, sheep and goat. I also took in consideration the feed for these animals so I already have fields growing corn, leafy vegetables and a wide area of fresh grass beforehand. There were also wide areas of planted wheat since we need hay for these animals as well. For now, I left them with several sacks of feed for each animal type to tide them through the first few months.

The workers looked surprised as I kept bringing out animals from my storage space but soon they looked happy as they finally have something to contribute to the territory. I have already installed several of my inventions to make the work more efficient. Well, they are not originally my inventions since I got these ideas from the modern world. In here, I was the first one to create them so I am the default inventor, I guess.

I earlier made them dig a few ponds as well which are now filled with flowing water from a nearby river. I placed hundreds of fingerlings of freshwater fish, shrimp and crabs inside each pond as another source of income for the territory.

I continued walking around transplanting fruit bearing trees and berry shrubs in certain areas where there are no plants being grown yet. In one corner of the territory, I asked them to grow different type of flowers. I created a few metal posts near the area surrounding the hectare-wide flower field and placed beehives in four cardinal directions. Honey is rare and is usually taken from the wild with a lot of risks to the harvesters but here in my farm, it can now be harvested regularly and safely.

About an hour before lunch, I was already at the community kitchen together with several men and women who were assigned to help in cooking the meal today. We happily prepared food for over a hundred workers and their families living in the estate. The air was filled with laughter, joyful chatter, clinking of utensils, delicious food and hope.

After I am done with eating, they volunteered to clean up and told me to go home to my husband since he maybe looking for me. I teleported back in front of the villa and opened the door with a smile. What welcomed me was a hug that could easily knock out a normal human to unconsciousness.

I heard Dimitri sob as he murmured, "I thought you sent me back because you don't want me anymore. I will never divorce! I would rather die! Don't leave me, please." Where did this overthinking fool come from?

I tapped his back to calm him down and we sat in the living room. I hit the back of his head gently to wake him up. I responded, "We haven't been home for a few months. Don't you miss your grandparents and this place?"

He looked at me with wide eyes when he realized that I went here on purpose to visit my in-laws and the territory. I added, "I had meals with the workers, checked on the crops, placed new farm animals as well as transplant some fruit bearing trees and shrubs while you are having your beauty sleep, husband."

He blushed a deep red as he realized his blunder. I smiled at him and said, "After I bring Kayden back in my hometown, it will be your turn so you better be prepared. We are not leaving that place till you're pregnant."

I heard my grandparents-in-law's laughter from the dining area as they heard what I said. They walked towards the living room and happily hugged me and Dimitri who is still dazed. The elders are excited about the idea of having a cute grandchild to play with by next year.

I had to come clean with the length of the pregnancy and how we will go about in taking care of Dimitri during that time and where he will be staying as if the guy in question is not in the same room. My husband is currently looking at us quietly while he was in a dazed and confused state. After several minutes, he couldn't help it anymore as he asked us to slow down and be calm about our plans.

Dimitri was then scolded by his grandparents for not paying attention to our meeting and was warned to be fully cooperative so they can see their greatgrandchild soon. My husband's face flushed red again as he looked at me helplessly, asking to be saved from the scolding.

I laughed and hugged the guy and defended him by saying he was very obedient and cooperative from the start. I looked at Dimitri in a very suggestive way and the only thing he did was cover his face with both his hands in embarassment.

At night, we did some exercises again but I made sure to make our room soundproof so as not to disturb the whole territory's sleep. Just when I thought that last evening was amazing, he surprised me again with how wild we went at it. He looked like he was enjoying every bit of it and I had to ask what came to him.

He breathlessly replied, "I am just happy that you have included me as a part of your future." I hugged him tight and kissed him again. There is really nothing more fulfilling than seeing my husbands happy, loved and spoiled well.
