Infinite Wealth System: Crazy Tasks, Insane Rewards!

Chapter 132: Nexus

The Transporter was like a portal with a blue hue, which took seconds to land them on another planet, a planet said to be outside the same universe as Earth's.

Royce was also stunned by the fact that the feminine robotic voice mentioned his name.

"How?"

"Almost everyone here knows your name. Come on, that is the least you should worry about now. We are heading to see the Grandmaster, but before that, you have to be officially one of us," Dale said.

They had landed in a lonesome white-walled alley, with no trace of anyone around.

Royce was nervous, as he wanted to see what this world had to offer. However, all he knew for sure was that this world would be insanely advanced in technology.

The fact that Dale could project women, food, and cars made it clear.

He had spent all those two months living the life of a president, all because of Dale's tech, and even though the rest of the world didn't care, he was fine.

It was insane technology, even though he had always refused to agree that it was magic.

Dale led Royce through the alley and finally, after a moment of walking, they reached a door that exited them to the ambiance of a large city.

The sharp sun shone right at them as Royce glanced at the vast megacity in front of him.

"WHOA..."

His mouth widened agape, and his eyes dilated in awe.

There was a city unlike any he had ever seen before.

He had been to the best cities in the richest countries on Earth, and none could even dare challenge the masterpiece of the city right in front of him.

Everything about the city screamed tech... advanced tech that Earth would never acquire, even in a million years.

Royce was sure of that, because he couldn't imagine how perfect... how absolute everything was.

There was a railway in midair, and a highway calmly running on bridges without pillars.

As if that wasn't amazing enough, he spotted a flying car... One that could fly as high as an airplane.

Almost everyone in the city looked completely happy... their faces showed it. And he noticed that there were no bars, restaurants, or any vendors anywhere.

He gave Dale a look.

"Really?" he asked.

"Yes, we project anything we eat or drink, or even use. That's to tell you how perfect this world is for you. Once you join us, you will be able to do the same. Live freely in your own home and enjoy for the rest of your life," Dale said with a smile.

Royce nodded without saying a word, but Dale could sense that he was so excited and eager to have that tech power in his hands.

He couldn't wait.

When they walked down to the roadside, people noticed them and started greeting Dale and even showing recognition of Royce.

"Welcome, Commander Dale."

"That's him. That's Royce... Commander Dale finally found him."

They all appeared excited, but Royce didn't actually know why. But at this point, his mind was far from worrying about that.

He really wanted to be part of the people of this world, and then...

I'll just go make a house for myself somewhere far from the city and project ten milfs with a lot of food and drinks. Haha, perfect life.

He said inwardly, as he continued to follow Dale.

Dale projected an SUV right in front of them, and they entered and drove off.

The city was quite a busy one, but at the same time, it felt so safe. Royce sensed the aura as they drove on, glancing at almost every corner.

"You see? Nexus is perfect," Dale said again, smiling.

"Right! This is my home! Fuck Earth!" Royce shouted.

He was now so captivated that he couldn't help it.

Soon, they reached a glass building on one side of the city.

The board at the top of the building read "Nexus Identification Centre."

Royce shrugged and followed Dale in.

"Welcome, Commander Dale," a woman standing by the entrance said as she bowed slightly.

"Welcome, Chosen One."

Then, with an even more respectful look and tone, she bowed to Royce and said it again.

"What does that mean?" Royce furrowed his brows. "Dale? What's with calling me the Chosen One?"

Royce had to ask since Dale never told him what it meant.

"You will know in no time. Start getting used to the name too," Dale said as he gave him a go-ahead to follow the lady.

She led them to a room where a ward bed was placed along with some other tech facilities.

Royce wouldn't know any, but he admired the setup.

The lady turned to them. "You will have to take the mind test first. If you pass, I will inject the Absolute Serum into you. If you fail..."

"He won't fail," Dale interrupted. "He has no reason to fail the test, right?"

Dale stared at Royce.

Royce hesitated for a moment but finally nodded.

But inwardly, he had a thought: Depends on what the heck I'm gonna be facing.

"Okay... please lie here, Chosen One," the lady said.

Royce nodded and went ahead to lie on the ward bed.

Soon, what looked like a helmet moved toward his face and covered his entire head, and in the next moment, he found himself in what looked like a ruined world.

Everything was destroyed, scattered...

Consuming flames everywhere, like the world was being ripped apart.

But the question was... which world is this?

It was then that Royce spotted Dale approaching him with what looked like a large firearm... a tech rifle.

A young woman rushed toward them in no time, crying and pleading for help.

"Help! Please help me."

She was completely injured and bleeding and was visibly helpless.

Royce flinched.

Just as he was about to help her, a single shot came from the side, blowing the woman's head off at once.

Royce turned.

It was Dale.

Dale was smiling like he had no remorse for what he had just done.

And then, softly, he said, "Death to Earth!"

Royce's eyes widened at that point, realizing what world was being destroyed.

"Come with me, Royce! Come with me, let's destroy Earth!"

Royce hesitated, shaking his head.

"Come on!" Dale shouted, giving him a hand.

Royce watched the whole world burning, falling to doom.

Earth... he could feel it... and at that moment, he no longer felt the same hatred he had for his world.

He felt fear... real fear.

"Come on, Royce! Come on!"

Royce had to make his decision.

He figured going with Dale would mean he was with them in destroying Earth.

He didn't know why, but at this point, he didn't want to do it.

He forced himself to move, even though he felt pressured, and soon, he woke up.

The helmet was removed from his face.

{Test failed}

{Delivering penalty...}

"Fuck no!" Dale screamed.
