Chapter 123: The Invitation
It was now official that The Dominus is President of Nortasia, although the people hadn't gotten to see him yet.
The most important thing was that today was the day when the people of Nortasia finally got their desires.
Democratic Rule, official, just like every other country in the world. A system of government where one ruler doesn't have to rule till death.
A system of government that invites the aid and opinions from every citizen in the country.
A system of government that cherishes the rule of law.
That was what Nortasia had always wanted, and now, finally...
They have a President.
The entire day was celebrated as the Independence Day of Nortasia, marked December 22 and written boldly in the history book.
Lady Frostline (Camilia) was also sent to deliver the message of the President creating a new office.
The President Residence wouldn't be in the palace at NorthVille...
"The President has stated that the National Capital would be moved from NorthVille to Dominion City," she announced.
Dominion City wasn't on the exact same island where the villa is. It was another bigger island pretty close to Dominion Island.
All these lands were widely known as Nolan before The Dominus took over, but now, they would be called Dominion City, with the island where The Dominus lives changing to the Excellence Area.
Thanks to the fact that Dominion Island had a lot of free land for development. Jayden had even picked up the plan to build the city before Independence Day.
He was rich enough to start off the planning, and now with the Nation's finances in his hands, well... He would have to use it wisely.
But the plan was clear.
He's going to build the greatest city the world has ever seen.
That was already a Black Level Task the system had given.
[Build and make Dominion City the greatest city in the Haven Continent.]
[Rewards: 100 Billion Dollars. +50 Wealth Points.]
Jayden didn't hesitate.
He was in.
And when they talked about appointing a Vice President, Lady Frostline told the nation that The Dominus would be appointing his Vice President at the banquet with the Kingsleys and other top tycoons in the country.
It was said that it was going to be the greatest banquet the country has ever seen.
The country's richest men, all in one place as they celebrate the rise of Democracy, and most significantly...
The day The Dominus would show himself.
The banquet was fixed on Christmas Eve, widely stated as the most anticipated event in the country.
Christmas wasn't even getting as much recognition as it always did... Everyone was completely bothered by who The Dominus is, and what he would do when he finally shows up and rules the country.
Things went on, and everyone just waited for the D-day.

When Camilia and the rest of the ladies returned, Jayden had to start by applauding them for a job well done.
Harper was there too, as she hadn't joined them at the Kingmaking Ceremony.
"Everyone was so down when I said you aren't showing up. They really can't wait to see you," Camilia said with a slight smile.
"Well, they have seen me before, haven't they?" Jayden laughed softly.
"No they haven't. They have only seen Jayden Cole, the man who died inside a lagoon," Temi said casually as she walked over to the couch.
"Really. The nation is about to shake. Can't wait," Charlotte said as he smiled excitedly.
"Yes, I know you all are excited, but I have to tell you something..." Harper then cut in.
Her face wasn't entirely bright as she spoke.
It appeared that her information wasn't something to smile about.
They all paused in curiosity.
"The Royal Council members..." Harper began. "That son of a bitch invited them over for a meeting... They never knew it was a trap."
They all had their eyes widened, except Jayden.
"He killed them. All of them," Harper added.
"Except one," Jayden then cut in.
"The Minister of Commerce. He told the king that they betrayed him. He wasn't happy that Gregory Kingsley had broken the alliance with him after being promised the post of Vice President," Jayden added.
Becky scoffed at once.
Everything was complicated, yet they knew how all this was going.
Gregory was surely fooled, but he didn't realize that. But the fact that the Minister of Commerce went the extra mile to betray his council mates made Jayden furious.
It wasn't as if he had expected such an act after all.
And the good thing was that he failed... They were too late to react effectively to the case, and now that Arthur Roger was no longer king, he was no longer a Minister as well.
Jayden looked at Harper.
"He must be finding a way to escape at this point. Get him," he said with a frown.
Harper quickly nodded and forwarded her orders. And with that done, they got ready for the next move.
"The fake leader of the Freedom Party..."
"Martin Roger Blake," Jayden said.
"Taking him down wouldn't be a problem. I got it," Becky said.
She was one of those who visited the headquarters and had implanted the recorder.
With her Influence skill, it would take her nothing to make the people believe that Martin had been a traitor.
The straight thing of it all was that Jayden wanted him arrested, and Lady Clave wasn't going alone.
Then finally... Before the meeting ended, Jayden revealed how he would be showing up at the banquet.
"Tomorrow, I would be attending the banquet as Jayden Cole. I'll show the world that I was never dead, and had been the main man they had always talked about. The wealthiest man in the nation... Their President."
He heaved a soft sigh.
"Then, I would go for the man who had made the early stage of my life miserable. The man who ruined my family and made me fatherless."
"Tomorrow, the Kingsleys would fall."

When Gregory heard about the banquet, he was totally chuffed.
To make it even more exciting, he was sent a Gold Invitation Card, marking him as one of the VVIP guests at the banquet.
Gregory couldn't be happier, as he immediately called his son over.
Royce was just too eager to hear more about the news, as he arrived home immediately.
They had heard about the news of The Dominus being named President of Nortasia, and already knew what was next.
The Dominus already promised to make Gregory Vice President... With the banquet announced as the appointment event and with Gregory being given the Gold Invitation, it meant that he was actually going to be one of the main men of the day.
Most precisely appointed as the Vice President of Nortasia.
He couldn't wait to grab power as the second most powerful man in the country. He wouldn't wait a second to finish up the Vanes after that.
"Have it. We are both invited as VVIPs, son. Once I become Vice President, I'll make sure you get a strong post at the federal level. Not getting your degrees from Sky High wouldn't mean anything anymore," Gregory said.
"I'm so excited, dad! When I get the post, I'm gonna make sure I close down Sky High University and deal with Luka. I'm literally gonna kill him and Emily," Royce said.
"That's on you, boy. Emily stopped being my daughter a long time ago. You can go ahead," Gregory said casually.
"I heard they are getting married. I won't let them see their wedding day by any chance!" Royce spoke furiously.
He later left his father's room with the Gold Invitation Card in his hand, smirking...
"And then I'd have the chance to put my rod into Lady Frostline's holes. Hehe, I can't wait for the banquet!"

Martin Blake was in his office with the conference men when Lady Clave and three security men bumped in without permission.
Her black long hair wiggled in sync with her footsteps, revealing her masked beauty.
His eyes broadened as he spotted her, standing up as he tried to speak when she raised a hand and interrupted him.
"You are under arrest, Mister Martin," she said.
The five other figures in the room flinched at her statement, as they tried cutting in.
"He had always been a traitor to the Freedom Party. He was working for the former leader, King Arthur," Becky cut in.
They all were completely dumbfounded, including Martin Blake himself, and she went on with her exposition.
"Hold on a sec," she muttered and approached the conference table. Upon reaching the table, she placed her hand under and brought out a device that was as small as an earbuds pack.
"We have recorded everything that has gone on here since the last meeting with Mister Martin. He has been the one giving information about the Freedom Party to King Arthur and had deliberately delayed the rebellion," Becky continued.
The whole room was enveloped in gasps as they all struck sharp glances at Martin.
He couldn't even say a word, stunned and hopeless.
They didn't need any more explanation to believe Lady Clave after she played the recordings, especially the part when he informed the king about The Dominus's plans.
Martin Blake was taken away, and then Becky delivered a final message before leaving.
"Now that the Freedom Party has finally achieved its goals, President Dominus has decided to change the group from a Freedom Party to an official federal organisation..."
"The Human Rights Organisation."
