Infinite wealth In A New World

Chapter 128: Memories 3

BOOM!!!

Ellen and Vinous hovered in the sky, watching the bloody battle rage below. It was a fight of thousands against two, and the thousands were losing.

"How is she that strong?" Ellen asked, staring at the woman below in confusion.

"That there is the strongest Xenon of her time… Each of her attacks has the power to destroy a whole planet. And then, there's him," Vinous said, gesturing towards Zohar, who was single-handedly destroying all the warships and battleships.

"Combined, they are monsters… And monsters can only birth monsters," he said, turning to Ellen.

'Monsters can only birth monsters? He's right… I am a monster, and I need to start thinking like one… Father almost died because he was protecting me. That mustn't happen again… I will make sure of it,' she thought, her eyes filled with a newfound resolve.

Vinous frowned, sensing a surge of energy from Ellen, which subsided just as quickly as it appeared.

"Matilda!!! You will die!!"

The two of them looked towards Zohar, who dove towards Matilda's ship. In one swift movement, he transformed into a colossal white-scaled dragon.

".....?"

Ellen watched as the dragon opened its mouth and unleashed a wave of searing, white flames that smashed into the warship, instantly incinerating it.

"I would have died in that attack, but the Queen saved me," Vinous said, watching as the Blood Queen shot out from the smoke and flew toward the dragon, summoning a red sword surrounded by blood.

"GRAAAAA!!"

Zohar let out a mighty roar and charged forward, channeling all his power into his claws.

"I won't fail my Master!!!!"

Matilda yelled, gripping her sword handle with both hands. With a powerful, devastating swing, she met the charging claws head-on.

"I think we should step back," Vinous said, moving backward with Ellen. The moment the two attacks collided, the sky and ground shook.

BOOOOOOM!!!!!!

A powerful sonic wave erupted from the impact, spreading out and destroying every single ship and killing every soul in its path.

_

Ellen, who was now hundreds of miles away, watched as the dust slowly cleared, revealing a completely barren, lifeless landscape... The once green field was gone.

She tilted her head in confusion as a small green seedling rose from the scorched ground.

BOOOM!

".....??"

Ellen looked up at the clear blue sky, seeing dark clouds rapidly gathering overhead. Within seconds, the entire sky was covered with ominous, stormy clouds.

Hearing a zapping sound, she looked back at the seedling, now emanating crackling red and black lightning.

"What is happening?" she asked, her voice filled with confusion.

"Just watch."

Ellen's eyes widened as she saw the Xenon woman, and some soldiers, rising from the debris. Most of them were covered in sand and soot.

WHOOSH!!!

The lightning shot towards the woman, wrapping itself around her.

"What?!" she was stunned.

The next moment, the lightning dragged her towards the seedling, and she vanished inside.

"....?!"

Ellen was dumbfounded.

BOOOOOOM!!!!

Matilda's red sword rose from the ground, shot towards the seedling, and was absorbed. It was followed by all the grand-class equipment scattered across the battlefield.

"AHHHH!!"

"WHAT IS HAPPENING!!"

"I DON'T FEEL GOOD!!"

The soldiers all groaned in pain as they collapsed one after another, blood flowing from their eyes, ears, noses, and mouths.

BOOOOOOM!!

Pillars of light shot down from the stormy clouds, smashing into each of the collapsed soldiers. The next moment, they all woke up.

Ellen stared at the giants before her, her face a mask of countless emotions. 'So… The Giants are people?'

"This battle happened three hundred years ago, resulting in countless deaths and the loss of our Queen… I don't know why I survived Yggdrasil, or why it spared me, but I know it has something to do with the sword… Or maybe the master," Vinous said, watching as his past self walked out from the smoke and collapsed on the ground.

"Wait, three hundred years ago?!" Ellen turned to the red cat in shock.

"Yes, Princess… Calculating the time, you should be 310 years old… You look ten because of the pod… I'm guessing when the ship space-jumped out of the planet, something happened to it and you two were separated… Your pod might have floated endlessly for 300 years before you were discovered. The moment you were brought out of it, you started aging," Vinous explained.

"So I am 300 years old?"

"Not technically… Besides, no one will believe you are older than your new father."

Ellen watched as their surroundings shattered, and the two appeared back on the tree branch. Ellen stared at the thousands of giants and asked, "Why are there so many?"

"I told you, three hundred years ago… These guys reproduce during this time. Yggdrasil, Zohar, the Queen, or the master… one of them created this race. They obey me because they think I am the guardian of this fruit…" The cat lay down on the branch.

"Alas, I am still here because I am waiting for it to ripen, and tomorrow is the day… So sleep, little princess, tomorrow will be a big day for everyone."

Ellen frowned, feeling her eyelids grow heavy. "Is she still alive inside the---"

Ellen's words trailed off as she fell asleep, resting her back on the tree trunk.

BOOOOOOM!!!

Vinous turned to the horizon, seeing a purple pillar of light shooting into the sky. It was so bright he could see the lands in the distance.

"....Did… Did he break through?" He turned back to Ellen. "It seems he is coming for her."

____

[Back To Sunny.]

Star stood fifty yards from Sunny, who slowly opened his now serpentine, golden eyes. His wolf ears were now red and black. Red strings of hair appeared on his black hair, stopping at his shoulders. What shocked Star the most was the serpentine tail behind Sunny, which looked just like hers.

Sunny stood up, and a dense amount of killing intent and bloodlust spread from him, pushing Star, who was fifty yards away, three steps back.

".....??"

Star collapsed to her knees, her entire body trembling in fear. Such killing intent was just too overwhelming.

"Should we go and rescue Ellen?" she cautiously asked.

"No… There is something we need to investigate," Sunny said, raising his hand and staring at his red claws.

"Then, I will kill that bastard," he added, as the aura of a Demi-god rank, stage 10, burst from him.
