Chapter 131: 131: Gathering at the Mansion
The next morning, at Orson's mansion, the Godslayer guild's core members were assembling!
"Vance, you'd better behave. You'll be under my surveillance, and if you dare mess with Orson..."
"Heh heh, quick slice, you know the deal."
"Don't talk like that. Don't worry, Ruby's coming soon, and she'll report to you any time!"
Bradley, nervously holding his phone by the pool, said this, but his back was being targeted by a leg—Ruby's leg, in fact.
Splash!
Two hundred-plus pounds of fat made a massive splash as a deep-water bomb. A handsome guy who was diving underwater was blasted up.
He surfaced, pointing at Bradley and cursing, "What the hell, old man! I was finally enjoying a rich man's life, and now you're trying to kill me?"
The guy had sharp features, dark black eyes, and a tall, lean build. Standing at 185 cm with eight-pack abs, he boasted about his 18 cm of truth! But when he cursed, his voice had an oddly vicious tone, like a mix of creepiness and sharpness.
"Heh heh, entry difficulty 9.9, power comparable to a forbidden spell! Money Traveler is truly mighty!"
A small, pretty little loli was covering her mouth, giggling as she continued to splash water at the fallen fat guy.
"Ruby!! Your guild application has been delayed!"
Bradley was about to blow a fuse. Climbing back up to the pool's edge, he was suddenly kicked back in the head by the passing handsome guy.
"Dammit, Madman, get online and wait for me! I'm going to kill you!" Bradley raged.
It was hard for him to accept this cruel reality. In-game, he was a cool and invincible stud, but in real life, the gods had cursed him with a handsome face and nothing else!
The heavens were unjust, and he was pissed!
"Typical fat guy behavior, getting angry over nothing, go play somewhere else. Your second uncle is heading upstairs for a sauna," Madman laughed, clearly enjoying the situation. It was the happiest day of his life.
After all, in the guild, due to his creepy nature, Madman was rejected by all the female players. But Ruby was practically worshiping the Money Traveler, and now it had turned into a dream come true!
"Stop it. I just want to join the guild, and I want to take a picture with the triple-crown champion. Oh, and a signed autograph!" Ruby pouted like a fan girl.
Bradley sighed helplessly. "Godslayer isn't right for you. We're either fighting, or on our way to fight. What are you doing here, just admiring the scenery?"
"Who says I can't fight? I'm already level 23. If it weren't for the difficulty of my class awakening task, I'd totally 1v1 you and beat you up," Ruby said, frowning at Bradley.
"Beat me up?" Bradley sneered. He was a master of both Light and Dark swords, with the "Invincible Leader" title, a thorn in the side of many guilds.
"Really, I'll beat you up. S-grade hidden class task. If I can complete it, I'm stronger than you!" Ruby grabbed his shirt collar, not letting him leave.
Bradley's eyes flickered. Hearing that, he said, "Let's talk when you're online. If it's true, I'll help you out."
Ruby grinned mischievously. "You're too weak, you can't help me."
"Weak? You're talking nonsense." Bradley coldly smiled. His little cousin had no idea how great Money Traveler was.
"Just curious, how many times did I beat you up as a kid? It must be more than a hundred, right?"
Ruby raised her slender, white foot, her gaze sharp as she performed an acrobatic move, locking Bradley's plump head in place. "The Infinite Dimensions world blends with reality. Don't think just because you play more than me, you're stronger."
"You... I only did it because I was afraid of hurting you." Bradley's face turned green as he tried to keep his cool and walked away.
"Brother~~ just let the triple-crown champion give in to me, you guys are so close!"
Ruby pouted and began to act cute. Bradley's head hurt from the irritation. He stalled, claiming Orson was delivering lunch to the hospital.
"Excuse me, is that Mercedes outside yours? Could you move it, please? Thank you."
Not long after, someone knocked and entered the living room.
Madman, just coming out from the sauna, was yawning. He immediately straightened up, his inner "simp" awakening. "Wait, it's my car! I'll move it!"
"Hey, are you some actress? You look so familiar."
Madman flexed his eight-pack abs with a casual swagger, making sure to show off his body.
The beautiful woman at the door had an elegant oval face, phoenix eyes, and a tall, slender figure, wearing a green floral dress. She exuded a unique, classical beauty. Her voice was soft and sweet, making Madman feel weak at the knees.
With a smile, she said, "Yes, I've appeared in a few low-budget TV dramas."
"Wait, you're Yara... from 'Rebirth of Beauty'? You... you're the guild's tree-planting sister?" Madman's jaw dropped.
What low-budget TV dramas? This was one of the hottest US series of the year!
She was known as the "beautiful tree-planting sister," and now it turned out she was the female lead of that drama—she was a full-blown star!
Yara frowned slightly, clearly not fond of being called the "tree-planting sister." She said indifferently, "I like the life of this profession."
"Hey, is anyone there? Anyone?"
A nervous voice came from outside the courtyard fence. A guy's head popped up, looking like a scared rabbit, as if afraid he'd come to the wrong place.
"Uh, I'm Female... Dorm God."
The young man, carrying a travel bag, looked embarrassed. His real-life self-disclosure made him feel super awkward.
"Little Priest Stewart, right?"
Madman rolled his eyes, irritated. "Change your shoes and come in. If your feet stink, go out and air them out before coming back. Don't interrupt my love life."
"Uh, can I wear shoe covers?"
"No, go play somewhere else."
Madman ignored Stewart and instead focused all his attention on Yara, his gaze intense as he adjusted his hair, trying to impress her with his masculine charm.
"Are you really Orson?"
"Absolutely. My looks speak for themselves."
"Sorry, I think I might be at the wrong place..."
Yara, slightly panicked, was about to leave when she looked up at Madman and said coldly, "Madman, you're not as handsome as him, and your aura is totally off. You must be the vice president, a creepy mad dog."
"Creepy mad dog?! Who the hell gave the vice president that nickname?!"
"Stop pretending, Madman."
Bradley, now in a fresh T-shirt, walked over and squeezed Madman aside with his taller physique. He warned, "Stop acting like a psycho and scaring people off. Little Priest Stewart changed into new slippers outside, and Nightshade's on her way."
"You're... Kaikai!"
Yara was stunned when she saw Bradley.
Bradley, feeling awkward, lowered his head. In the game, he was the invincible warrior, but now he felt insecure in front of a beautiful star.
"You're so cute in person!"
Yara's expression softened as she dashed forward and jumped to hug Bradley.
Bradley instinctively caught her delicate body, but then he felt a sharp, cold gaze from behind. It was Ruby, rolling her eyes fiercely.
"Police station? I think my brother's about to cheat!"
Yara, no longer pretending to be a lady, affectionately pinched Bradley's cheek. "I knew it, you're just as cute and righteous in person as in the game!"
"I... can't handle this."
Madman stood off to the side, looking dejected. He muttered, "What is this world coming to? Even beauty standards are collapsing. Damn it, damn it!" Continue your adventure with empire
