Chapter 650: Perfect fit
"I can't deny that, I guess," Rain shrugged.
When they returned to the port town, it was midnight and the cold was quite troublesome and Seara was trembling already… thanks to it, Rain wondered if Sealyn would be fine. Even if she was half human, it didn't mean that the effects would be halved on her.
Fortunately, she was sleeping soundly and she looked fine in one of the rooms of Orcis mansion with the other kids. Terra was in the mansion, but she was focusing on helping organize the town for the battle. She learned a few things from Karla regarding how to organize things for a war in the best way possible in order to gain time and she wanted to put that knowledge to use.
"You two look fine, so it seems that things down there are still fine," Terra said. "Anyway, you should rest for tonight, I need Seara to work with me with something."
"Ah, that is right…" Seara said as if she recalled something.
"What are you two going to do?" Rain asked while frowning. "I don't like to feel left out, it brings bad memories of my teenage years."
"Don't worry, it is nothing important," Terra said. "Just be there when the children wake up for once since once the battle starts, you will be too busy to do so."
Terra had a point… she was starting to use logic more and more lately. As a woman, she got over her weakness of being too emotional and now almost reached the status of a supreme human like that.
Putting jokes aside, Rain decided to do as she had said… the Greedy Vows made Rain work pretty hard as much as possible, and that didn't give him much time to spend with his kids.
"I want to know what they are up to, but I guess it will be better if they surprise me when the time comes," Rain thought.
In any case, Rain slept in the same room as with his kids and he stayed with them even after they woke up. Seadrei told him to attack the ice dragons in the morning, but it was too obvious of a tactic. Rain had other plans…
"You two are almost five, huh?" Rain said when he checked the status of his kids and confirmed that they were about to reach the max level in the human path. "Your magic is growing well, but what else can you do? I can give you some pointers." Explore new worlds at empire
"We can't show yet, papa," Danny said.
"The first Mama also said that it would be better if we didn't show papa anything," Annie added.
Rain sighed… Terra sure was enjoying herself monopolizing the kids. Still, considering that Rain wanted them to become the best healers possible, Terra was truly the best person to keep training them, which will increase their survivability quite a bit.
"Sealyn will be a nice girl to papa, right?" Rain asked while Sealyn was staring at him in his arms. "You won't hide anything from papa, right?"
Naturally, Sealyn didn't say anything. She was only ten months old, after all. Rain was pretty sure she will be a crybaby that will stick to him for a while, but in the end, he wasn't completely sure if it would be fine if she became too reliant over him, even after she reaches adulthood. There was also a chance that she might do a 180 when she became a teen… That was all too common.
"Pa… pa,"
Rain blinked several times in surprise and then a large grin appeared in his face, he didn't even try that hard, but Sealyn already learned how to speak her first word! Rain wondered if Seara would feel bad for that as well, but in the end, he was too happy to worry about that.
After moving around the area bragging about that, Rain left Sealyn in her mother's arms. Instead of sad, she was more annoyed since Rain was way too happy.
"That got me really fired up, I will hunt and defeat one hundred ice dragons today," Rain said.
Rain's heart swelled with a profound sense of happiness and fulfillment. As he basked in the love and support of his family and felt the warmth of their bond, an incredible surge of energy coursed through his veins. With a sudden burst of power, his aura began to glow with an intense and vibrant light, illuminating the area around him.
His eyes blazed with newfound determination, and his hair stood on end, radiating an otherworldly brilliance. Rain's muscles swelled, and he felt an indomitable force surging within him. With a fierce cry that echoed through the air, he achieved the legendary transformation and became a legendary Super Saiyan, his entire being charged with unparalleled strength and resolve.
In this heightened state, Rain was ready to face any challenge that lay ahead; his hair was golden, and his eyes were blue like the real deal. His Super Saiyan form symbolized the limitless potential that resided within him, ready to be harnessed in the face of adversity.
Naturally, that didn't happen. It only happened inside Rain's head… Rain's friends couldn't help but laugh a bit. Rain was the strongest human they knew, and he was pretty rich too, smart, and honorable. All those things didn't make him as happy as he felt that morning… material possessions, fame and power weren't as nearly as important to him.
"You gave her to me, but we are going to work together, right?" Seara asked.
"Hmm… someone has to look after the kids while we fight," Rain said while rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
"It is fine, I can stay behind," Terra said. "I will wait here to heal the wounded, it will be better if the sea folk come as well."
"I told Seadrei to bring the most wounded warriors to you, but it seems that it might take a while since Gramps is going all out and taking the toll on himself," Rain said. "I suppose we four can deal with this and put what I have in mind to practice. Jori and Reca are the perfect test subjects."
