Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix

Chapter 1385: Mystic Breathing

In two more days, all of the wounded will be back from the pocket dimension, that would be good for their forces, but they will have wasted five days' worth of training.

"While that idea doesn't seem so bad, there is the chance that we could obtain some assistance to the will of another planet, am I right?" Regis asked. "The first location is also a possibility."

It was obvious that Esmeralda's point resonated with the group, and Rain could see the appeal of focusing on smaller tasks until everyone was fully prepared to tackle larger missions. With the potential dangers posed by the machine gods and the need to ensure the safety of their comrades, caution was indeed very much necessary.

Regis couldn't help but feel a bit of regret as he reflected on his previous missteps that had strained the unity of the group. The realization that they were now pressed for time only added to his sense of urgency to solve the cohesion of the group as a whole.

"It's true that we need to prioritize our efforts and ensure that we're all prepared for what lies ahead. I apologize for any role I may have played in disrupting our unity. " Regis said after a long sigh. "Let's focus on moving forward together as a cohesive unit."

"While that is true, we should focus on the probability of success," Rain said. "It doesn't feel like that the machine god that controls probability is doing much for now, but we still need to avoid failures. Our victories need to be small, but they will pile up eventually."

"The sun's bases will be the target then," Sealyn said. "How many are there, and when do we need to move?"

"There are eight bases, and we will have a bit more than fifty thousand warriors ready with Spectral weapons in one week," Rain replied. "We will be able to split into groups of six thousand and attack all those at the same time."

"In one week, we will make our next move then," Sealyn declared. "This is enough for today; tomorrow, we will decide more details about the plan."

Just when the meeting came to an end, Rain realized that some of them would have a hard time in such a target, all thanks to the high temperature. The sea folk would truly be in a hard spot… Sealyn would stay behind, and that was one less problem to worry about, but…

"Not much that I can do about that when I already have been doing this much already," Rain thought. "I already increased their survivability by a large margin, but the technique will be useless if I die. Time to focus on myself now."

After returning to his tent, Rain immersed himself in his work, channeling his focus into refining the newly discovered techniques into clear skills. Despite his fatigue, Rain was determined to solidify his newfound abilities and incorporate them into his repertoire.

Faced with the task of formalizing these techniques into skills, Rain found himself lacking the patience to create entirely new paths. Instead, he decided to integrate them into his existing Origin Brawler path, recognizing their compatibility with the physical nature of his own techniques.

With precision, Rain meticulously crafted the skills, honing their parameters and fine-tuning their mechanics to align with the principles of the Origin Brawler path. It didn't take long for him to obtain the results that he wanted.

Level 05: Mystic Meditation - Enters a deep State of meditation where when your mana is full, you can expand your mana. Increases your mana every minute on a value of the same level of the skill.

Level 10: Mystic Breathing - Enters a deep State of meditation where you consume your vital energy in order to expand your stamina. Increases your stamina every minute on a value of the same level of the skill.

Origin Brawler Path Lv 10 - All parameters + 20.

The bonus parameters of the Origin Brawler path doubled thanks to the new skills. So, it seemed that it's potential was even higher if compared to the paths of the lords. Their effects started weak now if compared to before because it wasn't stable, but now could use it with any path equipped.

"This will make it hard for the others to obtain the skill… I guess I will have to make some relics and let them unlock the paths using the skills," Rain thought.

"That is probably impossible. Only someone with high dexterity and intelligence would be able to learn those skills," Elisabetha said. "Controlling your own body like that… it is just insane despite your dexterity. Still, it should be something almost on the same level as the machine gods can do to create their armies."

That made sense… now that Rain thought about it. The normal humans only had one hundred points in dexterity before, but he had seven hundred times more than that… he was as skilled as seven hundred people together.

After doing some tests, Rain confirmed that he could do some pretty insane things like mimic the exact movements of someone and instantly as well… When he summoned an ordinary rain, he blocked the water droplets with the tips of only his index fingers. He probably could do other things, but he was already plenty amused at himself.

As Rain focused on expanding his stamina through the practice of Mystic Breathing, his mind wandered, contemplating what his next steps should be.

While he continued to diligently craft spectral weapons for the benefit of his comrades, he couldn't shake the feeling that he needed something more substantial, a definitive and new secret technique that would further enhance his abilities and solidify his place as a warrior.

Lost in thought, Rain pondered the possibilities, considering the paths he had already forged and the skills he had mastered. He knew that whatever technique he developed next had to be unique, powerful, and versatile, capable of providing him with an edge in combat and unlocking new paths of potential.
