Infinite Harem System: I Grow Stronger From Every Female Lead

Chapter 83: Falmouth City (3)

Arthur spent the next three days thoroughly cleaning up all the inns and taverns at the border of Falmouth.

It was Arthur's first time killing people, but he didn't hesitate, because it was that same hesitation that caused the world to reset in the first place.

And with each battle he fought and won, the more the new Moonlight Dusk members continued to admire him.

Enter an inn, defeat all the rogue mercenaries, save the women, and give them ownership of the inn, thereby increasing his affection bonds.

This was his simple schedule for the past two days.

Ding!

『 You are running low on mana 』

『 You are running low on force 』

Because of how much energy was needed to use his new abilities, fighting had become harder in prolonged situations.

Only Amelia, who could absorb mana through her skin, and Sylvia, who could create mana—though limited—could provide him with any real amount.

And only Alicia and Selena could even give him a considerable amount of force.

"Art, are you okay?"

Arthur swayed slightly as a wave of dizziness hit him.

『 Your terminal illness: Energy Incompatibility Syndrome is activating 』

『 All stats have reduced by one rank 』

『 All abilities except thunder and ice affinities have been locked 』

Arthur clicked his tongue. 'Damn incompatibility syndrome.'

He hadn't felt it as strongly before, since, as the heir to the demonic dragons, he had a lot of female allies who fought at the border.

And his wives were five individuals with unusual mana or force absorption techniques.

But now he didn't know most of them.

He sighed, standing over the corpses of men in the last tavern at the border.

Sylvia looked at him with concern. "No one is here, Art. So you can rest a bit."

Arthur nodded, pulled a chair closer and sat on it. "How is Amy?"

Sylvia's expression darkened. "Not so good, I guess."

Arthur ran a hand through his hair. 'Amy has to rest before entering Falmouth.'

The worst part about what he was doing was that most of the girls he was saving weren't female leads or main characters in the game.

And while having more female allies was a good thing, having no one to give him mana or force was just as bad.

'Should I have headed to the academy first?' he thought, shaking his head inwardly. 'No. No one knows what could have happened in that time.'

After taking a deep breath, he stood to his feet.

『 You have earned: 300 mana points 』

『 You have earned: 50 force points 』

"Where are you going in that state?"

Arthur glanced briefly at Sylvia, who stood behind him. "Don't worry about me. Make sure all the girls in the inn get settled."

He was the one who carried this burden, so he would fight to the end.

But he was still Arthur Val Arcain, the gamer. There was no way he would walk into hell blindly.

As he stepped out of the tavern, a woman wearing a cloak and sporting auburn hair spoke to him from an alley.

"My lord," she whispered. "Just as you ordered, we have obtained information about the woman named Eira Yggdrasil."

Arthur nodded. "You girls should move away from Falmouth as fast as you can."

The woman took a step back, then paused. "Those our lord wants to step in."

Arthur looked toward the alley just enough to catch the woman's shadow. "Yes," he replied. "I think it's about time I conquer Falmouth."

The woman dropped to one knee. "I shall pass on the message, my lord."

In an instant, her presence vanished.

'The Bed Warmers cult sure are creepy.'

But they were undoubtedly helpful.

"Tony, gather all the men who can fight. We'll be leaving tomorrow's evening."

Tony, who had been perched on the tavern's roof, jumped down. "Yes, Boss."

Arthur turned back into the tavern where Sylvia still stood. 'Then I guess I better start moving too.'

---

After the first king and god of the elves had finished the first war in the world—the war of territory and power—he decided to use his alchemy and spirit arts affinities to create a tree that would constantly give life to both his race and the world.

But this tree's roots were stolen by five people during this process.

One was the demonic dragon's first Matriarch, Echidna Val Arcain.

The second: the king of dragons, Echidna's older brother.

And the last-known thief was the ancestor of the royal family of Agres.

Because of the instability caused by the reduction in its original power, the elves tried to find a way to create another world tree.

But the truth was, nothing was really wrong with the world tree. The elves simply needed an excuse to create a weapon to rule the continent.

And after years of experimentation, she was made.

The elf who was also the offspring of the world tree.

"If what you said is true," Sylvia said, "doesn't that mean that this Eira girl is stronger than all of us?"

The sound of water splashing echoed through an underground tunnel as Amelia, Arthur, and Sylvia—each wearing a cloak—made their way to an unknown location.

"Yes?" Arthur answered. "But she doesn't know how to fight."

Amelia, who had faint dark circles under her eyes, asked, "If that's true, then why aren't the mercenaries using her as they please?"

Arthur looked at Amelia—whose hand he was holding so she wouldn't trip, and answered:

"Well, that's why we came here in the first place. Eira must have gone into hiding by now. That means only a few people would know where she is."

"And those people?"

Arthur nodded. "We can find them here."

It was a kind of hidden mission in the game.

A mission only he had played, since no one else knew about Eira's existence.

Normally it didn't involve saving her from mercenaries but instead finding her to thank her.

And to find her, you needed to approach a particular NPC.

Arthur's hand trailed along the tunnel wall before he pushed back a particular block that didn't feel loose in the slightest.

Immediately, a small compartment opened.

"This is?" Amelia asked, puzzled.

Arthur moved toward the hidden door in the wall. "The only place where Eira's traces remain."

The underground hideout. The place where Arthur planned to obtain a large amount of mana and force.

Because a special NPC resided here.

The greatest alchemist and Eira's best friend. Who was also the princess of the Empire, who ran away because she was a child born out of wedlock with an elf.

Elizabeth Von Agres.
