Chapter 91: Gremlin Exterrestrial Fiends
Blinking their human eyes in an unnatural way among the swathes of people were several Gremlin Extraterrestrial Fiends. They eerily watched the three mushed-together humanoid figures vanish into the night sky. They remained creepily still, not even so much as breathing.
For the longest while, they simply stared in the direction of Cassius's home. They stared and stared, with their eyelids sometimes blinking sideways, revealing another pair of pure black eyes beneath their human eyes.
Eventually, the Gremlin Extraterrestrial Fiends turned their heads in unison, seemingly sensing something in the direction of Tokyo. After a few seconds, they shuddered as if shedding their skins, then returned to their completely human dispositions. One could not tell a single difference between them and a regular human; not even someone with an S-Rank Perception stat would be able to distinguish the two.
The Gremlin Extraterrestrial Fiends even walked throughout the crowds of humans; they laughed, talked, and even actively started conversations. They acted more human than most humans; none would be able to discern the truth of the matter—of how hungry they were.
Every time a human's head came into view, the second set of the Gremlins' eyes would trace it like a hound dog to a steak. They wanted to eat, they wanted to slowly savor and devour the juicy brains of every single human in the world. Yet they restrained themselves; it was not the time to act.
Their superiors on the Mothership were more intent on reaching the 2nd Floor of the Ascension Tower, with the enslavement of all mankind a mere secondary concern.
Of course, the lower-ranked Extraterrestrials, like the Gremlin Fiends, did not fully understand why the higher-ups and the Mothership were waiting so long to turn humankind into livestock. They were hungry… beyond famished… Why should they wait??
However, as intelligent beings, they knew that if they acted up, they would be killed on the spot.
There were countless just like them; they were neither special nor unique. They wanted to live more than they wanted to taste human meat again. It was all a matter of priority.
But when the higher-ups did achieve their objectives… Well, humankind would be no different from common farm animals, all lined up and waiting to be slaughtered. They would surely eat then.
'That human… He is the target?' Speaking in a slow, disturbing way, one of the Gremlins asked for confirmation, all the while happily conversing with a fellow human.
Answering the first one, a different Gremlin said, 'Yes, that is the human we need to befriend and coerce into luring out 'it.''
'Only that way can we be done with this nonsense and begin eating the humans…'
'Human meat… Am now hungry…'
'Hungry as well…'
'Human meat… It smells so delicious… Especially their brains…'
'Hungry…..'
For a while, the Extraterrestrial Gremlin Fiends repeatedly mumbled how hungry they were to each other. However, when the Yellow Gate began to turn red before abruptly spasming out and starting the closing process, they were forced to share the shock and surprise of the other humans.
The sun set in the West and then rose in the East.
The very next morning, Cassius shot his eyes open like a startled cat. He lay still, listening to the faint grave murmurings of the news lady on the TV downstairs. Sasha had kept the volume low so as to not wake up and worry the kiddos over the recent events in Downtown Hoshito.
One famous idol B-Rank Hunter Party never returned after entering a Gate that turned red before mysteriously disappearing. Then, shortly after that, two other Yellow Rank Gates closed in the same manner, except they hadn't changed colors before closing. There was a ton of controversy centered around these unexplainable events, even leading to the direct investigation of High-Rank Investigators from the higher-tier Japanese cities.
Though, for Sasha, she was just glad that a potential calamity had been averted.
Cassius shifted his focus away from the beautiful MILF scene downstairs, instead concentrating on whatever was pressing down on him so greatly. Even with his weight-set on him, he could feel multiple different extremely heavy things—
*Squish, Squish.*
"Huhgnn~ Not there, Master, Yimin is sensitive~"
All movement on Cassius's face zeroed out, leaving him completely expressionless.
Sprawled out on top of his muscular, half-nude body were drop-dead gorgeous women, each exotic and uniquely beautiful in their own way.
One, a clingy dog-like dragon woman; another, a wild tsundere stepsister; then there was the stunning orphan he picked up on one of his walks… yet another black-haired woman, and then a teal-haired doll whose beauty was only matched by the others dog-piled on top of him.
They were somehow able to evenly split up his body, with their devastatingly bountiful figures exposing their glory to the world. The more conservative ones, like Memphis, Aya, and Stella, were dressed in lingerie or loose shirts, but that did little to conceal their country-toppling slopes. And the more shameless ones, like Yimin and Bella, went bare-butt nude—
'Wait… Bella…?? How did she get here???'
Cassius recalled slipping back into the house late at night, which happened just shortly after he quickly cleared the two Yellow Gates and got a single level. With his new Lvl 70 status, he apologetically explained his lateness to Sasha, then went through a tiresome period of explaining why he now had two more women with him.
If not for Yimin's illusion magic, which she had unintentionally concealed earlier, then it would have been even more of a pain to explain to Sasha why he had a dragonoid with him.
Fortunately, everything worked out in the end, and though Sasha left the debacle with a slight pout, things progressed rather smoothly from there. At least, that was the case until it came time for sleep.
Memphis learned that he brought home two more women, grumbled, and then refused to allow him to sleep alone with them. She claimed it to be 'inappropriate' unless she was there to 'supervise.'
Aya acted along the same lines, with the only difference being that she adamantly refused to admit that she wanted it.
Stella, on the other hand, hadn't originally planned to sleep with him in the same bed. She instead chose to sleep on a comfy blow-up mattress to the side. But as she had a weird habit of sleepwalking, she somehow got up off her bed and found her way to Cassius's side.
Then, of course, there was Yimin, who was admittedly just being… Yimin…
...….
