BOOM! BOOOM!! BOOOOOMM!!!

Multiple more booming smashes were heard throughout the Gorge as cracks spread all over the exit of the tunnel that the two enormous claws were attempting to get in through. Each claw was roughly the size of a small town, and both were tightly dug into either side of the tunnel exit; they assisted whatever was trying to come out in coming out faster.

CRACKA-BOOOOOM!!!

Then, finally, with one last thundering explosion, the tunnel's exit exploded outward, and a massive singular organism crashed through.

The Nightmare—when fully extending the claws it used as both hands and feet—came in at roughly 4000 meters in height. It had long, lanky appendages attached to both of its wickedly sharp claws. Its main torso, however, was the weirdest part of this abomination, as it was shaped like a massive oval bean. And embedded in the front center part of that bean was a large swirling black eye that took up nearly 40% of its headspace. Which also served as its bodyspace, for both were one and the same.

"Kekatal!!! Kekatata—!!!!" The Nightmare Behemoth let out an unusual blood-curdling screech as it pushed its claws into the blackened floor before blurring forward.

"!!!"

The One-Eyed Crawler cared not about accidentally slaughtering other Nightmares as it appeared in front of Cassius in an instant. Then, with the hard flicker of one of its claws, it whacked him through several sound donuts and eventually into a far-off wall. A few Rank 2 Nightmares were crushed on impact as he hurtled toward the wall, their destruction yielding a satisfying surge of Nightmare Essence.

Then again, it wasn't like he had the luxury to be thinking about things he couldn't even use right now when his entire body was on the verge of collapse.

What seemed like gallons of blood poured out of his mouth as the aftereffects from his impact caused the wall around him to crater inward.

Then, very anticlimactically, he died.

Cassius felt his strength soar, giving his body a much-needed upgrade.

Yet, even with the addition of such a large amount of Strength, he still felt like this battle would be an extreme challenge. And normally, he would just dump all of his AP into Agility or take off his Newbie 8 Equipment Set. But this time around—so as to further upgrade his Phoenix Bloodline/Skill and his Trainer Rank—he held back the urge to mass level himself up. Instead taking the pain and death route.

"Time to test the limits of my strength," Cassius coldly uttered, manipulating the Space Element to |Void Port| his Lilith next to the One-Eyed Crawler.

Then he himself used |Teleport| to reappear right next to where Lilith was teleported. He clasped onto her before flaring the Atomic Element.

A devastating purple runic sword arc crossed the distance separating Cassius from the One-Eyed Crawler. Then, with a massive cloud-like explosion, the One-Eyed Crawler was hit.

'Did that do any damag—' Before he could even finish that thought, the One-Eyed Crawler's left hooked claw emerged through the cloud of atomic energies. And with a resounding bang, Cassius was hit straight on. First, his skin cracked, then his bones broke, then the rest of him followed. Slowly and painfully, his body was vaporized.

BOOOOOM!!!

The aftershocks of the head-on collision caused waves of rolling, volatile atomic energy to careen outward. The waves cut up the Boundless Gorge's walls, also killing hundreds of nearby Rank 2 Nightmares as a consequence.

It was also at this time—as Cassius experienced a full rebirth—that two more horrifying presences just as powerful as the One-Eyed Crawler appeared. Rumblings echoed out from several directions as tunnels too small to fit them were crashed through and destroyed. FWIP!

Cassius fully regenerated just in time to see two gaping mouths and a pair of claws rocketing toward his face. All three of the Rank 3 Nightmares were vying for his life, and they worked together in sync to take it.

They hadn't once bothered wondering why he was capable of reviving. They had not the mind for it.

They had but one primary directive: mercilessly kill anything that wasn't a native of this world.

'This will definitely give me a lot of Trainer Rank progres—'

SPLAT!

Cassius evaporated, with even his blood not able to stay airborne for more than half a nanosecond before being reduced to nothing. Same as with the rest of his existence—all turned to nothing.

Yet, it was from nothing that something could be born.

OOOM!

He once more reappeared—his Atomic Slashes already getting sent out in the hundreds per second. He even utilized the unique ability of his Dragonfire Demon King Title—Quasar Beam—to both push himself back from recoil and deal some minor burn damage to the momentarily stunned Rank 3 Nightmares.

However, within seconds, the nightmarish behemoths were already right back on his tail. They relentlessly pursued and lashed out at him with devastatingly powerful attacks, which left both the area and the other, weaker Nightmares in terrible condition.

'Damn,' Cassius thought as he expertly evaded multiple attacks that would've insta-killed him. 'If not for the fact that I just recently loosened some of the elemental restrictions that both of the worlds placed on me, then I would be faring better right now.'

Unfortunately for his sanity, that was not the case.

SPLAT!

Another blood mist explosion occurred. He died… yet again.

But he came back once more—this time even stronger than before.
