Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System

Chapter 132: {[Duke Vampire Bloodline (SSS-Rank)]} - [0.001%]

{[Duke Vampire Bloodline (SSS-Rank)]} - [0.001%]

—[This Bloodline is one that any number of Vampires would kill for, as it is the second-highest bloodline in all of Nightingale, second only to the Vampire King's direct Bloodline.]

—[To have access to this mighty Bloodline, there are two possible scenarios. One: you are born as a vampire and are the descendant of a Vampire Duke. Two: you are bitten by either a genuine Vampire Duke or by one of the Duke's descendants.]

—[Bloodline grants inhuman levels of strength, agility, and defense. 2000% increases across the board.]

—[Bloodline grants a plethora of vampyric bloodline abilities, of which there are three types. One: Basic Bloodline Abilities; every Vampire, no matter their bloodline rank, has them. Two: Rank-specific Bloodline Abilities; these are better if the rank of the Bloodline is better. Three: Individual-specific Ability(s); Typically only one Ability per person, and this Ability can be considered the trademark of that person, their Unique Ability per se.] Find adventures on empire

Focusing on the Vampire explanation segment, Cassius automatically crossed out the option involving him having been born a vampire. The second option had to be the correct one.

But that didn't change the confusing matter at hand: How in the f*ck did he get bitten by a Vampire?? And for how long has he not known??

Cassius tried asking the System, yet came back empty-handed and in a sour mood. The System definitely knew something he didn't, as it was quite obvious by the smug emoticons it used, but it refused to tell him anything. It soaked and drenched itself in his sorrows and grievances, not caring a single bit about how this situation affected him.

'Even after putting on the Newbie 7 Equipment Set and weighing more than most cities, I am still being bullied by this unreasonable system…'

Cassius had many hateful words he wanted to get out but felt it to be all too pointless to do something like that. Instead, he scanned through more of the intricate parts of the Duke Vampire Bloodline. It increased his stats by a substantial amount, and he read of a way to further improve these increases. But to do that, he had to progress the Bloodline.

To do that, he had to… suck the blood of other living beings.

However, according to the description, he could also drain blood like how Lilith has been doing. With her method of draining, she even just recently managed to advance to the S+ Rank, putting her at an even higher all-around rank than her master. As he had been spending most of his time progressing in his techniques, he didn't Gate farm as much in comparison. Thanks to this and his addiction to dumping all his AP into his Agility stat, several of his stats were even lower than Nyxvoldar's highest stats.

He had an addiction, yes. There was nothing after that… He was simply a raging addict.

'But back to the topic of draining blood,' Cassius thought, distracting himself from admitting that he had a problem. 'Even though it's something rather unsanitary, even for me, if I wish to obtain more strength and figure out how a Vampire secretly bit me, then I'll need to suck some blood.'

As soon as he realized what he had to do to truly get things rolling, he called for the return of his Evomon. He made sure to order them not to completely evaporate the A++ |Frigid Ice Yetis|, instead ordering them to bring the corpses back in mostly intact conditions.

It took a few minutes for the hordes of colossal Ice Yetis to get slaughtered by the Evomon, but once that did happen, they returned with hundreds of carcasses. And as their Liege activated a Basic Vampire Ability called 'Blood Drain' with his own little mass absorption spin, he was also reminded of a very important matter.

Namely, it was the Quest pertaining to the Extraterrestrial Gremlins that he had to locate and kill 10 of. As of now, not a single one had been located and not a single one had been killed. And although the time limit for the Quest gave him plenty of wiggle room, he still felt like the sooner he got the Quest done with and out of the way, the better.

{[Main Quest #3]}

{[Task: Discover and kill [0/20 Gremlin Extraterrestrial Fiends]]}

{[Task Time Limit: 1 Month, 28 Days, 21 Hours, 54 Minutes, 37 Seconds]} - [Tic, Toc, time's running out. Move your a*s, lard face!]

{[Reward 1 - [1000 AP]]}

{[Reward 2 - [S-Rank 'Extraterrestrial Sight']]}

{[Reward 3 - [200 Uncommon Evoballs]]}

{[Reward 4 - [S-Rank 'Stellar Flight']]}

The rewards as they were weren't all that appealing to Cassius, as he could already fly and he had plenty of AP and Evoballs. However, something within him was telling him that Stellar Flight was more than it seemed. He also believed the same thing about the Extraterrestrial Sight Skill. Instinctively, he knew that they were both mystical Skills necessary for the journey that would follow.

Yet, he still had to figure out how in the hell he was supposed to find those aliens…

Even with his rather powerful Perception Stat, he was unable to scan through thousands and tens of thousands of people's System Tags without mixing them up as they moved. This meant that he either had to be in close proximity to one of these Gremlin Extraterrestrials or he needed to increase the Perception Stat that was already in the S- range.

Yet, even with all that, doubt still lingered inside Cassius's mind. A higher Perception Stat wouldn't necessarily improve his scanning capabilities in that capacity, which meant that Auxiliary Skills were required. However, even with tens of thousands of unique and versatile Skills having come his way because of Skill Boxes, none of it seemed to make too much of a difference in that regard. Even the S-Rank/Ruby-rank Skills did nothing much to improve upon this extremely intricate problem of his.

This meant that, until a better solution could be found, Cassius had to stick to the simplest plan of simply aimlessly wandering around until he happened upon an Imposter.

At least he knew all 10 of them were in Hoshito, which… really didn't do much to assist him. Haha… ha… ha...
