Infinite Change.

Chapter 7: Act 02 - Transfer Student.

- Man, I'm dead. - Peter sighed as he landed on top of a building. - Time to go home and get some sleep... - He looked at the holographic clock in his field of vision in the Iron Spider suit, which had finally shown signs of life earlier today, but which was only the time, with no sign of Karen, and speaking of time, seeing that it was three o'clock in the morning, Peter quickly stretched out in this suit that looked uncomfortable, but was very nice to wear. - Sleep, right... even a little.

- Ah... now that I don't have Karen, I could create something to store my research. - Peter muttered to himself as he jumped off the building and propelled himself with his webs. - An encrypted USB stick might do the trick. - He asked himself, hardly noticing how the lenses of his iron suit sharpened slightly, as if they were bored.

- Oops! - Peter saw something just down the alley, so he dashed towards the duo, who were going to tackle a man who had fallen to the ground. - Someone needs help.

- Good evening, my fellow citizens. - Peter fell into their midst, swiping at the target who was aiming at the civilian with a rusty crowbar.

- Spider! - The bandit, on his feet, cursed as he aimed a blow at Peter's back.

- I just have one question. - Peter pretended to laugh under his mask. - Do you want it with the claws or without? - He asked with two pairs of sharp claws emerging from his back in a technological process that no one there had ever seen.

- Mercy? - The thug dropped the crowbar, already knowing it was a bad idea to continue, because the way Spider-Man had been acting over the last week, it was scaring even his boss.

- Of course... have a good rest. - Peter said sympathetically, his claws retracting. - In jail. - He finished off with a punch to the thug, knocking him out and pinning him against the dumpster.

- Are you all right in there? - Peter helped the fallen civilian to the ground, lifting him up and checking for any injuries.

- I'm fine, thanks. - The man said. - This gang is starting to terrorize the neighborhood these days.

- Yeah, I heard... - Peter sighed tiredly. - I'll keep an eye out... if you feel something might happen like this again, lock yourself in the truck, speed off and call Yuriko Watanabe, she always gives me information in real time. - Peter handed the civilian a Police Department card. - Anyway, are you all right?

- Yes, I'm fine. Thank you very much, Spider-Man. - The man smiled as he shook Peter's hand. - I have to go and give my statement, thanks for everything.

- No problem. - Peter stood there, watching the man climb into the truck and start the engine. - Lock the door. - He reproached the man, who laughed at the feeling of being corrected by someone who looked younger than him.

With a final nod from the garbage truck driver, Peter soon saw the vehicle pull out of the alley. He sighed once again at how tired the patrol had been, having been on the run since 19:00.

- Okay... Sleep, definitely sleep. - Peter mumbled to himself, adjusting his headphones to alert him more loudly than usual in case another crime occurred, but focused solely on falling into bed and hugging May until the next morning. - That's it, nothing bad will happen.

[ ... ]

- Good morning... - Peter said sleepily, putting on his printed T-shirt and an unbuttoned jeans shirt. May hugged him from behind, kissing his face, his chin and then his mouth.

- Rough night? - May asked, going over to the table and helping herself to the coffee Parker had prepared.

- Three cases overnight, I just got back from the last one. - Peter sighed as he rolled onto his back. - Some seem to understand that they shouldn't continue with this nonsense, but others who are braver seem to be coming forward more and more.

- I know that expression. - May said curiously. - You've got an idea, spit it out.

- Yeah... maybe the towers around the city will help prevent a tragedy from happening... but I don't know. - Peter looked a little lost and accepted it when May sat on his lap, feeding him.

- One step at a time, Pete. - May said sympathetically. - You're the first hero to act, and soon there will be others to help over time.

- But I want more... and I know I shouldn't. - Peter admitted. - I know I can go further, I can use more strength, stop restricting myself with every blow, every run or every jump.

- Have you been restricting yourself? - May asked, curious and even surprised.

- You have no idea... I spend more energy focusing on containing myself than actually fighting crime. - Peter smiled at the look on her face. - Let's just say that as much as I want to hug you and fall face-first into these two wonders of yours here. - He nuzzled his face into his aunt's cleavage. - I can't really let go without the risk of hurting or crushing you.

- Have you turned into a Hulk, by any chance? - May laughed, nuzzling her nephew's head into her breasts. - Because you look like a defined tiger like that, you're not going to tell me you're going to become a bodybuilder.

- Nah. - Peter denied it amusingly when he stood up abruptly under his aunt's euphoric shout, lifting her up and down with ease. - My body is different from the others, well... at least different from when I hadn't been bitten by the spider at Oscorp. - He said, lowering his aunt, and once again returning to the paradise his aunt carried with her.

- What do you mean? - She laughed at her nephew's antics, not denying his advances, not when he arrived too late and still had time to look after her so well, having to leave again in the middle of the night, but she had learned to deal with this side of her Peter.

- My structure was evolved when I was bitten by a spider, everything was strengthened internally by what I studied and examined myself, unlike normal, my muscles are now made of cobwebs. At least not exactly like that, but a kind of protein gel that coated my entire muscular structure. An ordinary spider produces a web that is five times stronger than a steel cable... a genetically modified spider goes much further and this is reflected in the gel that coats my muscles, making them beyond ordinary human standards. - Peter adjusted his glasses, which although he didn't need to wear, he still liked the way it connected him to his late father, with May loving it when he got all "professor" on him. - Not to mention that my body produces more Actin and Myosin in my muscles, so even though I have the capacity to lift 20 tons, I don't have a grotesque, abnormal volume of muscle, just a definition as if I were totally healthy on a diet and regular hypertrophy training.

- And it's not as if I can walk into any gym and ask if they have twenty-ton weights to put on the bench press... so really... I'm at a loss as to how strong I can be, having to control myself at all times so as not to go overboard and destroy the house, people, objects and everything around me. - Peter laughed in deprecation.

- You can't yet, tiger. - May planted a kiss on his forehead. - I know you'll develop something, this mind is too brilliant to allow itself to stagnate. - This time she kissed his cheek. - And let's face it... - May laughed, kissing his chin. - Being too strong... is a very good problem to have. - She finished with a kiss on his lips.

- Eugene says I've been taking anabolic steroids. - Peter laughed when he felt his aunt stop caressing him, only for him to start reciprocating.

- Rosie's son? - May asked, worried. - I never liked her husband and, as he always treated his children in public, I hope he hasn't spoiled this friend of yours.

- Well... - Peter said a little uncertainly.

- Peter? - May asked in false reproach.

- Let's just say he's a complicated case of a bully who used to torment the boys... even with me he used to get on my nerves, although between us it was just him getting on my nerves. - Peter said, remembering how Eugene had been changing. - Maybe in another universe he'd be one of those clichéd bullies from 90s movies... but no, here he's... well, I don't think his relationship with his father is very good, I don't know... he doesn't talk much when we go out to play basketball.

- And do you intend to find out if there's anything there? - May asked, knowing how Rosie had been distancing herself from her for some time.

- It's none of my business to meddle in adults' lives. - Peter said seriously. - But Eugene has a younger sister... if I find out that this guy is a typical child abuser who takes out his frustrations on his children... I wouldn't have the slightest problem throwing him in jail.

- Just like your uncle. - May muttered with a smile.

- What? - Peter asked, confused.

- Your uncle, Ben... he was always peaceful and welcoming to everyone, but he had a specific moral code. - May remembered when he was still alive, especially this version of the current universe and where she came from, which had the Avengers. - If it involved children or animals... he would make the criminal pay himself.

- I miss him. - Peter sighed, with his aunt snuggling into his embrace.

- I miss him too. - May agreed, only to jump into her nephew's lap in surprise when the doorbell rang. - What a fright.

- Have your breakfast. - Peter slapped his aunt on the butt as she got up. - That must be Gwen.

- She's got the hots for you, hasn't she? - May asked when she saw her nephew stop and turn around with a strange look on his face. - Just saying, ever since you invited her to show her our new house, I've seen the way she looks at you.

- Can you tell? - Peter approached his aunt, standing a few centimeters away from her. - Does that bother you?

- Peter... - May gasped when he touched the back of her neck, pulling her to him.

- Should I be content to be monogamous and ask Gwen to marry me? - Peter planted a kiss on May's lips.

- Invest in our relationship... - Another kiss.

- Getting married... - Another kiss.

- Have children and live happily ever after with my best friend? - Peter finished with a tongue kiss.

- Or should I mark you as mine, just like when we landed in this universe and you got this tattoo, along with memories of who I am and where we came from?

- Mark it. - May gasped excitedly, pulling Peter into a lustful kiss just like the one they'd been having since they started this relationship. - She already knows about one of your secrets... and she's so good for you. - May wrapped her arms around his neck and they both ignored the second knock on the door. - Damn, you have no idea how sexy you look when you let your powers guide your personality.

- You have no idea how I'm going to get you tonight. - Peter slapped May on the ass. - I'll be back at 8pm, I want to see you wearing the costume I sewed for you.

- Do you want to play superhero? - May bit her lip naughtily.

- Bye, May. - Peter left, picking up his bag and his skateboard by the door.

He had to leave quickly, to the laughter of his aunt, because if he continued for another minute with the flirting they'd been doing like a couple on their honeymoon, he'd really act like it and skip school to be with her on his day off.

So, opening the door, Peter saw his best friend, as always waiting for him with her stylish fat bike, but she wasn't alone, as Gwen began to say excitedly beside him:

- Pete! - Gwen hugged him euphorically. - Let me introduce you to my new friend. - He turned to the top three redheads he'd ever seen in the world.

And Peter said top three, because as beautiful and hot as she is, there was no way he could get Natasha Romanoff and Wanda Maximoff out of his heart, not after seeing the Black Widow fight in the Avengers Civil War and having the sexy and dangerous redheaded witch come out in force with a squad of women to protect Peter in the battle against Thanos.

- Pete, this is Mary Jane... Mary, this is Pete. - Gwen couldn't keep her excitement down, not even when Peter looked a little confused.

- Hey. - Peter said, taking reference to where the name came from, almost as if he knew her very well and he did, but not with this appearance... the appearance was also similar to someone from another life, but that wasn't the case here.

- Hi! - Mary said with a smile, which reminded Peter of things that mouth had done, which he couldn't help but look familiar with when he had an outburst of cool emo phase.

- Do you know each other? - Gwen was surprised.

- Yeah... no! Wait, I don't know her. - Peter denied amusingly. - I just thought of two people.

- Nice to meet you, Mary Jane... - Peter sighed after the hasty denial, holding out his hand to the redhead. - I'm Peter Parker.

- I know, I recently moved in next door. - Mary greeted cheerfully.

- Really? - Peter asked, watching Gwen affirm excitedly in a way that made her face look very cute. - It's less than a week since I moved in with my aunt.

- Aunt? - Mary said in surprise. - So young and pretty, I thought you were her girlfriend. - The redhead continued playfully as she looked him in the eye.

- "Fuck, she knows." - Peter thought, seeing the wry humor in her eyes, as if she knew some secret that would give her an advantage in something.

- And then... Gwen. - Peter took his attention away from the wonderful redhead. - What's the ceremony? Are you cutting class?

- What? - Gwen said as if it were a sin, causing Peter to raise a smile. - Of course not! Mary is transferring to our school, so I thought I'd include her in our morning routine.

- A routine for both of us? How cute, just like a married couple. - Mary grinned at Gwen, as if they were already best friends and had exchanged secrets.

- Really? - Peter pretended to be surprised, not playing the shy game, because if there was one thing he understood about Mary Jane in her other life, it was that once she's put in charge of something, she abuses it, and abuses it too much. - I was afraid of saying it out loud and sounding syrupy or deluded. - Peter laughed, to Gwen's surprise. - But the rumor in class is that you've been getting close to the school nerd in order to date the great basketball star Flash Thompson.

- What a bunch of bad characters. - Gwen closed her eyes at the rumors that she would use her best friend like that. - I would never use you.

- Really? - Peter turned Mary's game against him, now aiming at Gwen. - You've never used me? In any way? - He laughed disingenuously, reminding her of when they kissed in the old apartment, Stacy's face flushing.

And if it was any proof of how women tell each other everything, it was how Mary Jane laughed knowingly at what Peter was saying, making it clear right there that she knew about the kiss between him and Gwen.

- Peter! - Gwen picked up the newspaper from the floor and hit him on the arm, pretending to be scandalized. - Let's get to class, Gwen has a scooter too. - She showed the electric scooter on the fence next door.

- Will you be able to keep up with us? - Mary Jane smiled at Parker and went to get the scooter.

- I can manage. - He grinned at Gwen, making her shy about knowing his identity secret, especially about how he was so fast and sturdy getting across town to school, while she always went with her electric fat bike.

- So come on, tiger... I want to see if it's all that. - Mary got on the scooter, taking one last look at Parker's house and then smiling mischievously at him, speeding off as Gwen got on the bike with the huge tires.

- Fuck... - Peter cursed ironically, giving the two of them a head start as he walked across the tiles, through the fence and onto the sidewalk, seeing the two of them already reaching the corner of this dead-end street. - This girl certainly knows, she knows I'm fucking my aunt. - So he laughed, giving his skateboard a boost, which made him accelerate greatly as he jumped onto the sidewalk with the strength he had, along with the stamina to cross the city easily with a skateboard.

And with that I end the first chapter of the second arc of Infinite Change.
