In a large greenhouse, a young man can be seen working on plants and herbs, collecting the various leaves and stems delicately but with fast-paced speed. Many other people can also be seen doing the same.
After finishing his job, he returned to the rest area where he met with an old man while taking out his lunch.
The old man said "Little Jin, you don't have to always bring my lunch box, it is not necessary at all"
Jin "Grandpa Dou, you always forget it so I have to bring it, otherwise with your conservative personality you might stay hungry till going home"
Grandpa Dou "Not at all, I would have eaten something from here and there"
After a little conversation, they sat near a table and started there dine.
After finishing their work, when it was around evening, Jin returned to his home. Open the gate and without any delay directly lay on the bed.
Jin Orian currently lives in his grandpa's house. Next to his house is Granpda Dou's house, where he lives with his son and Daughter-in-law.
Jin was the average student who wanted to become a researcher but in the end failed to pass the exam, knowing he was not cut for it, he tried to go for other fields but was unable to come up with resources and connections, with the little talent he was left with few choices -
one is to go to the military but since he passed the age requirement for Military education, he knows that he had to start with Guard rank which is a danger-filled job and the other is to be a Worker, although pays less, will meet ends meet.
Then he got contacted by Grandpa Dou, who was a friend of his Grandpa, and wanted to talk about his old ancestral house, knowing that he wanted to be a Worker, he suggested working with him in Greenfield - greenhouse which is affiliated with herb supplies, after pondering a little bit Jin quickly agreed.
This has been his routine for half a year, where he can save a little money after carefully expanding on food and avoiding any luxuries.
Seeing his savings and sighing "If this is going on, I don't know when will I be able to have enough to start a small business."
Jin's goal now is very practical after many failures in life which is to start a small second-hand Mechanical part dealer.
"After the discovery of Metal-X, the demand for equipment parts and old hand modules has remained consistently high, making this business highly stable. However, the initial investment is substantial. While purchasing a brand-new, first-rate Armor is ideal, its production is strictly controlled by the government, limiting accessibility.
On the other hand, Armors that have been damaged or deemed defective on the frontlines still contain valuable components. These can be scraped and resold as second-hand products. Many individuals, seeking to avoid the high costs of purchasing new parts directly from manufacturers, prefer these second-hand purchases."
But Jin was upset with the savings which surely did not meet his requirement.
Avoiding depressing thoughts, he ready himself for the bath to refresh himself.
In the bath, submerging himself in the bathtub, he started to relax, he suddenly he started to feel tremors which startled him, as he was about to move out of the bathtub, a second tremor came, making him lose his balance and slip himself on the floor.
Groaning, he pushed himself up, trying to regain his footing. Suddenly he noticed an old book that he used to balance the stand for items to put on, drenched in hot water.
In Today's era, books made of paper are rare as they are considered relics of the past, after all, information is transferred and stored digitally which is more efficient. This is his grandfather's book, as he was a historian who liked to collect many old things, he found it in one of his explorations.
"From what I remember, the book dates back to the late beginning years of Future ERA, when the experimentation of Armor had just started, grandpa said that it was about the scientist named Konsuka Reman, who wanted to develop a particular armor but rejected by the government as they didn't think it is feasible, in the book it is written that he secretly worked on it although it's unknown if he achieved his goal, well it is interesting that this book pages had not degraded yet, it seems to have applied special preserving oil and each page in laminated then by plastic material, otherwise even its ash would not remain"
Again feeling the tremor, Jin wearing his clothes came out of the house to see many workers and machines working here and there.
After asking he gets to know that, the area around it going to be developed in a Tier-2 city, which is very beneficial for natives.
"Luckily, I didn't sell this house for money after being desperate. Well, it seems they likely make a highway pass by cutting a tunnel through east mountains which will not affect him except for these disturbances."
After that, he returned to his room to sleep, well not able to get good sleep due to construction.
The next morning was a holiday.
Jin wearing casual clothes ready himself to go for a light jog, while jogging around the area he saw the tunnel construction work was in rapid progress, and then an accident happened, it seemed a machine failure occurred and a young worker injured his hand, so work got halted for few minutes.
Although these accidents it not uncommon still machine failure, it seems like the supervisor must have tried to save money on machines.
One might wonder why in the Future ERA, the use of strong AI is not implemented - that is because if it gets connected to the Global network, it starts creating its own logical thinking which can lead to civilization-level danger so the use of Strong AI is strictly illegal, it leads to direct arrest from military.
It is not based on assumption, one of the previous human failures also includes this named - Serius.
So only weak AI is allowed to be used.
Without further delay, Jin got ready to return home while sipping the fruit juice he had bought on the way. However, upon arriving, he almost spilled his drink, his eyes widening in shock. The entrance, once secured by a stone wall, had been broken by a boulder transported by a construction team.
Noticing him, the workers quickly realized he was the homeowner and rushed toward him, bowing in apology. The damage was mostly confined to the yard, but it had left a hole in the stone wall and shattered a stone slab that Jin often used as a sitting area. This slab had been a souvenir from one of his grandfather's explorations. Despite being remarkably hard, it was not as heavy as it appeared, making it easy for Jin to move it around the garden.
Thinking that it was a bad day, Jin moved inside the house without noticing the crack on the stone slab, a faint luminous blue glow inside it.
Around midnight, he came to the garden where he found that construction workers had repaired the wall, although his garden was still in a mess, well ignoring it he got near the stone slab to shift it so he could sit on it and started eating honey potato, wondering in his thought.
A small mouse came from behind him, maybe due to the honey smell, and when Jin did not realize, mouse bit on his finger, an unbearable pain shrieked through Jin making him shout with pain almost to the point of crying, waving his hand rapidly to rid the mouse, after mouse almost eating all the honey on his finger loosen the bite and ran away.
Due to being bitten, a small cut from which bleeding occurs, a few drops of Jin's blood fall on the slab, entering the small crack, and the faint glow that Jin still had not noticed started to turn red.
Jin ran inside the house to cure the wound, but something interesting was happening inside the stone slab.
The layer of rock started to form cracks and a black box made of titanium started to reveal beneath it. The whole box is with a circuit of veins luminous with red light and a message pops up
"DNA is being registered - First Armor Host Authorization is granted - Please prove the ambitions of Great Scientist Dr. Konsuka Reman to the world"
After that as if a short circuit occurs, a processor gets blasted, and the message disappears, red vein circuits lose their light, and the box returns to normal.
