Incest Pendragon

Chapter 49: Unification of Britannia Part 5

Flashback

"Morgan le Fay, what do you want here? We don't welcome your kind, and I certainly don't welcome your presence," Queen Medb spat with distaste as her sharp gaze fell on the cloaked figure before her.

Another figure, similarly shrouded in shadow, stood silently at Morgan's side, their face hidden.

But Medb's attention remained fixed on Morgan, especially when the witches removed her hood, revealing her unmistakable features.

Morgan le Fay chuckled darkly, her voice laced with an eerie confidence.

"We've come to offer you something you can't refuse, Queen Medb," she said, her words dripping with malice. "And, of course, we've brought a gift to prove our sincerity."

Without a single word of instruction, Sith stepped forward, her movements precise and deliberate, as if she already knew what her queen expected of her.

In her hands was a mirror, polished and pristine, reflecting more than just light—it revealed secrets.

As Queen Medb's eyes flicked over the surface, her expression darkened, her lips tightening into a scowl.

The mirror exposed her servants for what they truly were—spies planted by her husband.

Rage boiled within her, her fists clenching as the realization hit.

The carefully constructed control she thought she had over her kingdom was nothing but an illusion, crumbling before her very eyes.

"What is it you want, Morgan?" Medb demanded, her voice thick with sarcasm and mockery. "Do you want me to bend the knee to your father? I know you've spent years defying him. What's changed now?"

Morgan's smile didn't waver; if anything, it grew sharper, more menacing.

"That's none of your concern, Queen of Connacht," she replied, her tone dismissive and cold. "I'm here to offer you an opportunity. The chance to rule this island completely, unchallenged, and to leave Britannia behind. But it comes with conditions. You'll bring your troops to my father, and together, you'll help him get rid of the dragon and Rome. Whether you remain a queen or end up bowing to his will depends entirely on your ability."

She stepped closer, her voice now dripping with provocation. "So, tell me, Queen Medb, are you confident enough to claim your crown and avoid bending the knee? Or are you just another ambitious woman destined to fail under the weight of her own pride?"

Medb snorted, her disdain clear, even as anger simmered beneath her defiant exterior.

"I don't need useless men interfering in my fight," she retorted sharply. "If it's a battle he wants, I'll face him myself. Now, tell me your plan, Morgan. I'm listening—but don't think for a second that I trust you."

...

Still Flashback

"Father, are you going to march now? Why not let me, Gareth, and Kay follow along? We can help. Even Bedivere, Gawain, and Agravain could join the fight." Artoria's voice carried a mix of doubt and concern as she looked at her father.

"After all, your foes are numerous. You'll need our aid. There's Queen Medb, Cu Chulainn, and King Conchobar—and worse, the Shadow Queen herself might appear."

King Uther, standing tall and unmoving, met her words with a calm, steady reply.

"No, I need your help here, Artoria. Camelot needs you, and Britannia needs you even more. Your task is crucial. Recruit more men for our cause, and once you have them, march straight to the battlefield where Vortigern and Lucius are clashing. Wait for me to arrive."

Artoria stared at her father, disbelief flickering in her eyes.

It was as if he'd already declared victory by simply stating his plan, as though defeating Queen Medb and the Irish coalition she led was a foregone conclusion.

"How about Kay and Gareth? Should they follow me?" she asked, her tone calmer but still uncertain.

The question also brought up the unspoken concern of whether her father expected her to take all the recruited troops to face Vortigern and Lucius—or leave some behind to defend Camelot.

"Leave Kay, Agravain, Gareth, and Bedivere for defense. You and Gawain will march with the troops," Uther commanded, his tone absolute. "Meanwhile, I will take Merlin with me."

"Are you sure, Father?" Artoria asked, the worry in her voice growing. "I don't think you and Merlin alone can defeat Queen Medb, Cu Chulainn, King Conchobar, or even the Shadow Queen, Scathach."

"Nah, I'd win," Uther said without hesitation.

With that, he turned and bid her farewell, leaving her behind with the image of his confident back as he mounted his warhorse.

The sight of him was imposing, almost larger than life. His self-assured aura was so infectious that even Artoria couldn't help but believe in him.

"You will win, Father," Artoria whispered, firming her resolve.

She turned away, ready to tackle the tasks he'd entrusted to her.

She would not disappoint him. He had never disappointed her, not once.

To her, Uther was more than just a king—he was the only one who could save Britannia.

...

Present Time

"Father, we've spotted Queen Medb's troops near the river," Akame reported, her voice steady and unwavering as she relayed the scouts' findings.

King Uther, sitting tall and unshakable on his warhorse, raised his hand sharply.

His commanding voice echoed across the field. "Halt!"

The sound of boots and hooves grinding to a stop filled the air as his troops obeyed without hesitation, their discipline a testament to his leadership.

Even Francesca Prelati, riding close to the king, couldn't hide the concern in her voice as she asked, "King Uther, shouldn't we set up a formation against them? Why are we stopping?"

King Uther smirked, his expression exuding confidence as his gaze fixed on the approaching figures in the distance. "We're not here for war. We're here to welcome our allies."

All eyes turned toward the horizon where Queen Medb made her grand entrance, flanked on both sides by Morgan le Fay and Baobhan Sith.

Their presence alone was enough to unnerve anyone who dared oppose them.

Behind her stood the towering figure of the Warrior of Connacht, his presence alone enough to intimidate lesser men.

When the group drew closer, Queen Medb wasted no time asserting herself.

Her tone was cold and calculating as she addressed Uther. "King Uther, I've eliminated every obstacle in your path—Cú Chulainn, Conchobar, even my pathetic excuse of a husband. I trust you'll honor your promise. I want Connacht for myself. In return, I'll acknowledge you as the King of Britannia."

Uther's smirk widened into a sly grin. "And you shall have it, Queen Medb. But first, it's time for you to follow your rightful king. Together, we'll drive the dragon and the Romans from this island and reclaim what is ours."

Medb snorted softly, her eyes darting toward Morgan le Fay and Baobhan Sith, who stood ominously close.

Their piercing gazes made it clear that any defiance would be met with swift and lethal consequences.

The Camelot Cavalry, a force renowned for their ruthless conquest, stood poised, their readiness to strike evident in the sharp gleam of their weapons.

Understanding the dynamics of power at play, Queen Medb lowered her head in reluctant submission.

"My people and I are yours to command, King Uther," she declared, her tone grudging but firm.

Uther chuckled darkly, his victory undeniable.

Turning back to his troops, he raised his legendary blade high into the air.

"Men, withdraw! The battle is already won! Next, we march on Rome!" His voice boomed with conviction, his Excalibur glinting under the light like a beacon of dominance.

"All hail King Uther!"

"All hail King Uther!"

"All hail King Uther!"

The troops roared in unison, their swords raised high to mirror their king's, the sound of their loyalty reverberating through the battlefield as they prepared to carry his conquest forward.

Honestly, I'm constantly in a state where I want to start a new story where the MC reincarnates as Sayjou Manaka's brother.

Sometimes, I want to write a story where he's Ashera Tepes, Krul Tepes' older brother.

So many ideas, but so little time.

You know how it goes—when I write the story, it's going to be degenerate and uncensored.

However, when I look at the stories on my profile, then at another account of mine, and then another, I realize I'm in deep fucked.

It turns out I still have many unfinished stories.
