Chapter 6: Chapter 6

[After years of training, your body has reached its limit. You feel as if you've arrived at a critical point.]

[If you can break through this limit, you may reach a new level of Ripple mastery and perhaps even awaken your own Stand.]

[As you focus on your training to surpass your limits, Caesar returns, bringing along a man named Joseph.]

"Caesar, long time no see."

Kei waved at Caesar in greeting before turning to the man beside him. "I'm Hata Kei."

"Joseph. Joseph Joestar."

"So, we're going to train here from now on?"

Joseph, wearing a specially designed mask, curiously looked around before shifting his gaze to Kei. He quickly noticed a subtle shift in Caesar's demeanor—something was off when facing this man.

"Training!"

"That's right. From now on, you'll be training with me. And first, we'll start with real combat training!"

Kei stretched his body. Basic physical conditioning could no longer improve his physique—it had reached its peak.

What he needed now was to refine his Ripple techniques and push past his limits. And the best way to achieve that was through battle.

"Oh, then—"

"You idiot, don't agree!"

Caesar quickly stopped Joseph before he could respond. "We're training under Lisa Lisa's guidance. Kei, you just focus on your own training."

"Oh, what a shame."

Kei shook his head, then turned and jumped into the sea. In an instant, the turbulent waves calmed under the influence of his Ripple.

As he moved, more and more of the water settled into a still and silent surface, while the rest of the sea remained wild and untamed.

The boundary was eerily distinct, as if the ocean itself was split in half by his presence.

"This... How is he doing this?!"

Joseph broke free from Caesar's grip and stared in shock at the unnatural phenomenon. He swallowed hard—had he just considered fighting this guy?

"Who knows? He was already terrifying years ago, but now, he's an absolute monster."

"You have no idea how lucky you are that I stopped you. Do you know how brutal his training methods are?"

Caesar looked at Joseph, who had yet to experience the horrors of true training.

"What happens?"

"Have you heard of running?"

"Are you messing with me? Of course, I've heard of running."

"But have you heard of running to the point of exhaustion, until you collapse from sheer exhaustion?"

Joseph gave Caesar a dumbfounded look before digging into his ears. "Sorry, I must've misheard you. Could you say that again?"

"Endless running. No fixed number of laps, no distance limit—just running until you drop from exhaustion."

As Caesar spoke, he shivered at the memory of his past training.

"What the hell?! That's not even training—that's torture!"

"And that's just the start. You can't even sleep at night. You have to meditate to strengthen your Ripple control!"

"It only gets worse. Eventually, you'll have to run on water, fight underwater, and even climb into the sky using a single rope!"

"Do you realize how hellish this training is?! If you follow him, you'll be dead in no time!"

Caesar still trembled at the thought of that horrifying rope-climbing training. Strengthening the rope with Ripple, making it stand vertically in midair, and then climbing it—dozens, even hundreds of meters high. A single mistake meant death.

And when it got even harder? They had to make the rope stand in the sea!

How was this even considered training?!

Joseph gulped as cold sweat ran down his back. He had almost agreed to Kei's training. He had almost walked straight into hell.

"Well, I mean... Sure, it's brutal, but it does yield incredible results."

After listing all the horrors, Caesar hesitated, realizing that they needed to grow stronger as quickly as possible to face the Pillar Men.

Training under Kei might actually be the best way to do that.

"No, no, no! I'm still a beginner! Let's start with the basics first!"

Joseph immediately rejected the idea, refusing to even consider it.

"Joseph is right. You two are no longer suited for Kei's training intensity. If you try to copy him, you'll only get injured—or worse, killed."

"You need to start from the basics. First, climb the Hell Pillar!"

Lisa Lisa spoke up.

The Hell Pillar was a towering, twenty-four-meter-high column with an extreme incline, covered in a slick and slippery oil.

The only way to climb it was to rely entirely on one's own body and Ripple. No tools were allowed.

Many Ripple users had attempted the trial, but few had succeeded.

"This... This sounds impossible!"

"It's not too bad. I mean, there's just a chance of dying. In other words, you might survive."

Caesar shrugged before diving into the oil pool, preparing to climb.

Joseph hesitated, thinking he might be able to negotiate a different training method with Lisa Lisa, but before he could even open his mouth—

BAM!

She kicked him straight into the pit.

"Train properly. If you can't make it up, well… I've already prepared your coffins. We can bury you right away."

Lisa Lisa's voice was cold and merciless.

Lisa Lisa may have looked like a young woman, but in reality, she was over fifty years old.

Though she was technically an "old lady," her willpower was as unshakable as any Joestar.

She appeared strict, but when she lost a beloved disciple, she wept uncontrollably.

At the foot of a cross, her trembling hands mistakenly placed a cigarette in her mouth upside-down.

And when she realized it, the overwhelming sorrow crashed over her like a tidal wave.
