In One Piece, I Am the Ultimate Doflamingo

Chapter 132: Chapter 132: How Are You Using the Young Master's Ability?

Half a day earlier.

After another rampage through the war-torn land of endless conflict, Barrett drifted aimlessly aboard the Catapult, carried wherever the ocean currents took him.

(T/N: The Catapult was a submarine used by Douglas Bullet.)

Since Roger's death, the mercenary had lost his purpose. The only thing left in his mind was war—or death.

Wherever the Catapult was swept away, he followed.

"Bang!"

Shaking off his hazy stupor, Barrett climbed out from a pile of empty bottles. Sensing his surroundings, he pressed his palm against the ship's hull.

The Catapult began to shift.

Metallic limbs emerged from the steel whale's belly, anchoring onto the shores of Raijin Island.

The enormous machine immediately attracted the storming lightning in the sky.

"Rumble—!!"

A massive surge of electricity fried the ship's metal components, rendering them useless. The jolt cleared some of the alcohol fog from Barrett's mind.

Gazing at the ever-falling bolts of lightning, he burst into laughter, standing tall amid the crackling storm.

"Hahaha! I haven't fought nature itself before—come at me!!!"

His overwhelming aura surged skyward like a war demon.

...

The abnormal lightning activity didn't go unnoticed.

Enel's eyes lit up.

"An intruder? And still alive?!"

Few pirates from the New World dared set foot on this godforsaken island.

Even fewer survived the relentless thunderstorm upon landing.

Whoever this was—he wasn't ordinary.

And Enel had been itching for a fight.

"Moria, Diamante, I'm checking this out!"

Without waiting for a response, he dissolved into lightning and shot into the sky.

Moria glanced at Diamante before smirking. "Let's go. Anything that catches Enel's attention must be interesting."

Without waiting for Diamante's reply, he grabbed his longsword and followed.

Though Enel was an annoying little brat, his Observation Haki was trustworthy.

Besides, he was getting bored on this island.

"Move out, boys!"

...

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Barrett's dark, purple-hued fists collided with the lightning crashing down upon him, scattering bursts of light that turned night into day.

A colossal face emerged from the thunderclouds, its voice booming like rolling thunder.

"What's your name?"

Barrett's grin widened.

He hadn't expected to wake up and immediately find someone to fight.

"The name's Douglas Barrett."

"Douglas Barrett…" Enel muttered. "I think I've heard of you. What do you want here?"

"Boom!"

"What do I want?" Barrett scoffed as he launched himself skyward, fists wrapped in Armament Haki, hurtling toward the thunderous visage.

"I don't know. But right now—I want to fight!"

"Hmph. If that's the case, then you can die!"

Barrett's reckless arrogance instantly ignited Enel's fury.

The massive lightning face opened its mouth, and a colossal dragon surged forth, aiming to swallow Barrett whole.

"Good—come at me!!"

Barrett roared in exhilaration, clenching his fists as the glow of Haki engulfed his body, gradually morphing him into a hulking, blackened figure.

To the naked eye, it looked as if he had simply covered himself in Haki.

But it was far more than that!

Using the power of the Clank-Clank Fruit, he melded his Haki with his very flesh, bones, and organs, strengthening his body to an extreme degree.

It was far superior to merely coating himself in Haki.

This monstrous transformation was one of the reasons people called him the "Demon Heir."

"Boom!!"

Barrett's iron-clad form tore through the Thunder Dragon, his raised foot crashing down like a battle axe.

Lightning exploded in all directions.

Yet, Enel remained unharmed.

Instead, Barrett's unique transformation caught his attention.

Enel materialized from the storm, his curiosity piqued.

"You… What's your connection to the Young Master?"

"???"

Barrett's battle-driven mind blanked for a second.

His fighting spirit dimmed slightly.

"The hell are you talking about? If you're still alive after this, we can chat then!"

He vanished in an instant, reappearing with his fist cocked back, aiming straight for Enel's head.

"You're using the same form as the Young Master."

Enel reacted faster, appearing behind Barrett and swinging a lightning-infused leg at his skull.

The same form?

Barrett hesitated.

"Boom!!"

Enel's strike sent him crashing to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Though the attack didn't break through his defenses, the sheer voltage left him slightly numb.

"My form comes from my Devil Fruit. No way someone else has it!"

Convinced he had figured it out, Barrett's fury only grew.

"Enough talk."

Seizing Enel mid-air, Barrett slammed him into the ground—again and again.

"Your strength… is too weak!!!"

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Like a ragdoll, Enel was mercilessly smashed into the rocky terrain.

By the time Moria and Diamante arrived, they were met with an unexpected sight.

Moria and Diamante exchanged glances.

Watching Enel get beaten to a pulp, Moria couldn't suppress his laughter.

Diamante, however, paled.

"Demon Heir Barrett?! I'm notifying Doffy—you handle Enel!"

"Got it. Boys, clear the area—I'm joining in."

Ignoring the retreating Diamante, Moria brandished his longsword and lunged forward.

"Hehehe! Barrett, how about a round with me?"

Barrett turned, his grin widening.

More fighters only made him more excited.

"Sizzle—!!"

Taking advantage of Barrett's brief distraction, Enel unleashed a massive surge of electricity.

Even Barrett's formidable body felt the numbing jolt, forcing his grip to loosen.

Free from Barrett's grasp, Enel dissolved into lightning and rejoined the stormy heavens.

"You've pissed me off now, Barrett!!!"

His enraged voice echoed from the sky.

"Divine Judgment!!!"

Massive lightning pillars rained down relentlessly.

Moria halted in his tracks.

"Rumble—!!"

As the storm settled, Barrett emerged, his grinning face intact.

His clothes had been reduced to ash by the extreme heat, but his skin gleamed like polished obsidian.

"Hahaha! I'm still here, unknown pirate!"

Barrett's battle lust roared. Locking onto Enel's life force with Observation Haki, he crouched deep before launching himself upward with explosive force.

A shockwave burst through the air.

The iron-clad fist shot through the thunderclouds, closing in on Enel at terrifying speed—less than a meter away!

"I'm no nobody, fool! I am the Thunder God!!!"

Enel roared, instantly enlarging his form to a gargantuan size.

His colossal fist clashed against Barrett's charging punch.

"Boom!!"

A dull explosion echoed like a torpedo underwater.

The sea of thunder split apart, revealing the battle within.

From below, Moria—lacking Observation Haki—could finally see the two fighters.

With each collision, Enel was pushed further and further back.

Moria's smirk widened.

Strength-type fighters were his favorite opponents to crush!
