At the same time in New York, MJ and a beautiful blonde girl were walking through the corridors of Oscorp Tower.
The young girl has a slender well-endowed figure. Her soft blonde hair reached her shoulders, while her blue eyes sparkled in curiosity as she looked at various technologies around her.
"Gwen, are you sure we are in the right place?" MJ asked cautiously, as they somehow stumbled into an empty corridor with no life in sight.
Gwen, looked around to find the corridor empty, but she didn't take it to heart and replied casually, "Don't worry, MJ. I have been here before."
"I can see that," MJ replied sarcastically as they continued walking through the corridor, while Gwen looked around, hoping to find something that might pique her curiosity.
A few moments later, they arrived at a closed door, with the only two possible paths behind the gate in front of them, or else, they could return from where they arrived.
"We should head back, Gwen," MJ said, as she didn't think it was wise to roam in this area any longer. But Gwen didn't think so. Instead, she said confidently, "Don't worry. Let's see what they are hiding behind the door."
She took her internship ID and placed it on the scanner right next to the door. Green lights scanned the ID, quickly granting further access. With a swish, the door opened, revealing a high-tech laboratory.
But what caught the girls' attention were the various specimens on the desk, imprisoned within sterilized glass cubes.
"Whoa… Are these spiders?" Gwen muttered in awe as she gazed at a white arachnid with pink stripes. She felt a strange attraction towards this little thing as soon as her eyes laid on it.
"This doesn't even look like it should exist, Gwen," MJ next to her commented as she looked at a wiggling red liquid. Strangely, she felt that it contained intelligence despite it being just a liquid.
"Gwen, we should get out of here," The red organism gave MJ a bad feeling, as she decided to get out of this place as quickly as possible. She grabbed Gwen's arm, this time firmer in her resolve.
"Okay," Gwen muttered timidly seeing that MJ was dead serious. But before they could take a step forward, loud noises from behind the door attracted their attention.
"QUICK! I saw them walking towards her. We can't let them see the specimens. If they did, capture them. SHOOT IF NECESSARY!" A man roared, followed by hurried footsteps arriving near the door.
"Ahh!" Gwen screamed in fright, her body retreating on instinct, knocking the glass cubes from the table.
One of these glass cubes happened to be the white arachnid. As soon as the glass broke, it jumped towards Gwen's legs. Her shorts offered no protection against its bite.
"Ouch!" A stinging sensation hit her, causing her to scream.
"SOMEONE'S INSIDE! MOVE QUICKLY!" Meanwhile, the footsteps grew even more rapid after hearing the noise from the laboratory.
"Shit!" MJ cursed under her breath. She quickly swiped the arachnid from Gwen's leg and crushed it with the sole of her shoes.
But she failed to notice that a similar, red and black arachnid had jumped into her jacket. Not just that, even the wiggling red liquid meld into her jacket, disappearing from view.
"There's another door on the left! Run quickly!" MJ shouted and pushed Gwen to run forward towards another door. Meanwhile, she started pulling down various instruments hoping it would stall their pursuers for some time.
As soon as they left through the door, closing it behind, their pursuers arrived through the main door.
They turned out to be a group of security men, led by a middle-aged man in a white coat, who appeared to be a researcher of a respectable position.
Looking at the broken glass shards, but no humans, the man screamed in rage, "FIND THEM QUICKLY! DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE!"
The security personnel quickly dispersed to find the culprits leaving the man alone. The man in question fetched out his cell phone and dialled a number.
A few seconds later, the receiver picked up the call. The man quickly spoke up without giving the other party any chance to speak, "Boss, someone from the security messed up. Two girls stumbled upon the cross-genetic laboratory. All the glass cells are broken, we don't know how many specimens we lost today."
A few seconds of pause followed before a heavy and cold voice spoke from the other end, "Find them. Bring them to me. Otherwise, I will have your head on my desk tomorrow."
The man shivered at the voice and quickly replied, "Yes, boss. Leave it to me. I won't disappoint you."
The only thing that replied to him was static noises. He shakily put his phone in his pocket, but as he did so, his gaze fell on the crushed arachnid.
"Fucking bitches!" The man cursed under his breath. He knew that even if they caught the two culprits, they wouldn't be the only ones losing their lives today. The loss of these specimens was huge, as no one had been able to replicate them except its creator, but that man was long dead.

Meanwhile, MJ and Gwen emerged from an alley near the Oscorp Tower, their body tired and out of breath.
"Wait, here. I need to make a call," MJ said, trying to catch her breath before she took out her phone and dialled a number. Gwen simply nodded, taking a deep breath while leaning against the wall, despite it being dirty, as she couldn't care less about it.
Meanwhile, the receiver picked up the phone, and said in a cheerful voice, "Hey, MJ. It is not every day you remember me. Do you need any help?" The voice sounded sweet and that of a woman.
"Yes, Klara. I need your help." MJ quickly got to the point where time was of the essence. She quickly explained what happened and the woman on the other side quickly replied, "Don't worry, MJ. I will quickly destroy all of your traces. Except for physical evidence, no one will know you two visited Oscorp today."
"Thanks, Klara," MJ thanked her. She was grateful for her help. The woman, Klara, waved off her thanks, "No worries, MJ. Instead, why don't you arrange a date for me with your little brother?"
"In your dreams, Klara. He's already taken," MJ quickly retorted, not giving her any chance. Already knowing what MJ would say, Klara sulked in a fake teasing tone, "You are no fun, MJ. Remember, one day, he will be mine."
"Hump, dream on," MJ said, cutting the call and not taking her words seriously.
After putting her phone in her pocket, MJ turned towards Gwen. Both of them stared at each other for a few long seconds, before smiles etched on their faces, followed by their laughter.
