In Konoha, This Naruto Has Decided To Take It Easy

Chapter 570 Losing The Big For The Small

In the residence of Yondaime Raikage, A lounged on a massive black sofa that was nearly the size of a bed. His enormous frame pressed down on the sofa, causing it to groan under the weight.

Muscles bulged across his body, and the only thing covering him was his Raikage cloak. His golden slicked-back hair framed his face, his brows permanently furrowed.

For no apparent reason, Yondaime Raikage felt a chill. But it was the height of summer, so why was he suddenly getting this weird feeling?

Standing up, he walked over to the window.

Unknowingly, two years had passed. It had been nearly two years since Nii Yugito, Nibi's Jinchuriki, had gone missing… taken away by that impostor pretending to be Uchiha Sasuke.

Afterwards, he more he thought about it, the more something felt off. He still didn't know who that person truly was, but more importantly, he had no way of confirming whether Yugito was alive or dead.

Normally, if a Jinchuriki dies, their Biju would soon reappear in the world. But two years have passed and there was no sign of Nibi appearing. And there is still no news about Yugito.

Boom!

Thunder rumbled as rain began to pour outside the window.

Kumogakure is located at a high altitude, so it is common to encounter sudden thunderstorms. White mist-like rain shrouded the village as jagged lightning streaked across the sky y.

Crack! Boom!

"Why is it raining so hard?" Naruto asked, shrinking his body as he looked at the heavy rain from the balcony of the living room.

It was still early in the afternoon, but the streets of Kumogakure were already lit up. The warm glow from the shop signs was drowned out by the torrential rain, and the nearby fruit vendors had already packed up and left.

"It often rains in Kumogakure, and the temperature difference between day and night is big." Yugito, who is sitting on the sofa, glanced at Naruto and said lazily. Then, she changed to a more comfortable position and lay down.

From afar, there were flickering lights, but the white mist blocked everything out. The streets, though cold and empty, carried a lingering scent of smoke, probably from some household preparing dinner.

"We're probably in the rainy season now. You'll get used to it."

Her tone was casual, her posture even more so. She lay on the sofa in a way that was almost too relaxed, with her long, pale legs stretched across the cushions, her gaze sultry as she lazily glanced at him.

But Naruto knew very well that Yugito was not trying to seduce him, it was just that she naturally exuded the aura of a cat.

That reminded him of another incident: One night, when he got up to get some water to drink, he happened to see the door of Yugito's room was open, and inside, Yugito was fast asleep.

At that time, she slept exactly like a cat… curled up, alluring in an unintentional way.

Sensing Naruto's gaze, she had stirred awake, her sleepy eyes hazy with a kind of unconscious allure.

Even now, the memory stuck with him. The moonlight had streamed in through the open window, casting a silver glow over the room. The curtains billowed slightly in the night breeze.

In fact, she wasn't even dressed particularly revealingly, and her silhouette was only faintly visible. But still, Naruto's brain had short-circuited, and his mouth was dry.

He never brought it up, and neither did she. It was just a fleeting moment, quickly forgotten.

But now, as he saw her lying like this again, his eyelid twitched.

"Ugh… Can you please pay more attention to your image?" Naruto couldn't help but remind her, "There's a young, hot-blooded man sitting right in front of you."

"Oh? So you want to ***?" Yugito didn't seem to care at all and asked directly with amused interest.

"Yeah." Naruto admitted without hesitation.

He looked out the window at the rain-covered mountains in the distance and fell into deep thought.

He knew if this kept up, he was going to end up as a living eunuch. But everywhere he looked, all he saw were tools.

'This couldn't go on. I needed to find a way to legally indulge myself while standing on the moral high ground.'

"Then go ahead. Do whatever you want." Yugito said teasingly, being so sure he would back down. She was happy to see him get humiliated. "You can do whatever you want, I'll cooperate."

"No thanks, I like the type that puts up a little resistance." Naruto smirked back.

Yugito is very important to him at the moment, so he naturally cannot afford to lose the big picture for the small one, 'Wait, lose the big picture for the small one? The small one is Yugito, and the big one is Samui?'

Shaking his head to clear out the nonsense, Naruto leaped from the balcony into the rain.

Originally, he just wanted to take advantage of the heavy rain to go out of Kumogakure to clear his mind, but who knew that he would have an unexpected harvest.

At the very edge of Kumogakure, he happened to see the Taka Team sneaking into the village under the cover of the rain.

Kumogakure is a large village built on the top of multiple mountain peaks. It is equivalent to building a castle in the air with the peaks of several mountains as the foundation.

The limited area and the explosive population growth caused by the peace in recent years have suddenly made the buildings in Kumogakure much more densely populated, and it is almost difficult to see green trees.

With little cover, the view was naturally wide open.

Sasuke and his three companions thought they had sneaked into Kumogakure undetected, but they didn't notice that there was a pair of eyes staring at them in the dark.

No… it's two pairs of eyes.

Naruto, who was hiding in the dark, spotted White Zetsu, who was also peeping at Sasuke's group not far away, and White Zetsu also spotted him.

The two looked at each other in the heavy rain, and for a brief moment, both of them were stunned.

Then, almost as if by silent agreement, they averted their gazes and subtly repositioned themselves, continuing their surveillance as if nothing had happened.

After all, the opportunity to keep an eye on Sasuke's movements was hard to come by, and after weighing the pros and cons, neither of them wanted to cause a disturbance.

As long as they pretended not to see each other, the other technically didn't exist.

Coincidentally, White Zetsu was thinking the exact same thing.

Although he was a little surprised why the yellow-haired man from Konoha appeared here, he didn't think too much about it.

His mission was to track Sasuke, and anything else was none of his concern, but he should stay out of things he didn't want to do.

Especially this yellow-haired guy, he couldn't afford to offend him.

In order to avoid being exposed, only one White Zetsu's clone was currently assigned to monitor Sasuke's movement. Even if he got caught and beaten to a pulp, it wouldn't be much of a loss, but losing Sasuke's movements for this is not worth it.

The downpour continued relentlessly, and half of White Zetsu's body emerged from the high wall, like a cactus growing on the wall.

From his elevated position, he observed Sasuke's group weaving through the village, with a knowing smirk on his face.

'Interesting… Konoha's Kyubi's Jinchuriki and Uchiha Sasuke both showed up in this remote Kumogakure. Sasuke is here to capture Hachibi's Jinchuriki… but what's that blond bastard up to?'

White Zetsu couldn't quite figure it out, but his face still showed a pretentious expression that things were becoming more and more interesting.
