In Konoha, This Naruto Has Decided To Take It Easy

Chapter 552: Chapter 552 Using Generator to Dry Hair

Tenten always carried several scrolls with her. Inside her sealing scrolls were more sealing scrolls, using the nesting doll technique to expand her storage capacity.

However, Naruto, with his wealth, had a far superior solution. He has a single sealed space. This was far more convenient than stacking scrolls within scrolls or layering spaces within spaces like Tenten.

Inside this sealed space, he stored not only easily preserved food but also drinking water and various resources. It even contained a generator, small appliances, and a tent, everything one could need for survival.

This habit stemmed from his past experiences. Before he emptied his fortune to support the Intelligence Division, he would purchase supplies wherever he went.

While much of the food was donated to orphanages, the other equipment remained stored in his sealed space.

There were a lot of random things piled up in the sealed space, and the scattered supplies added up were enough for Naruto to settle down anywhere and start a life from scratch.

To be honest, his paranoia was largely due to the trauma of drifting at sea. Ever since then, he regularly updated his supplies, buying new items to ensure he was always prepared for emergencies.

Yugito was aware that Naruto had a personal storage space and that he hoarded supplies. So, when he pulled out some dried meat, she wasn't particularly surprised.

However, when she finished washing up and was about to use a fire to dry her hair, she was stunned to see Naruto casually pull out a generator and a hair dryer.

"You… you even have this?"

"What do you mean, 'even this'? I had money before, so why wouldn't I enjoy myself?" Naruto replied, rolling his eyes as he poured the fuel into the generator. With a pull, the machine roared to life.

Yugito stared at the hair dryer he handed her and felt inexplicably speechless. She couldn't help but think, 'Isn't this like using an A-Rank Ninjutsu to kill a mosquito?'

Running a generator just to dry hair? She didn't think Naruto was trying to impress her. After all, she had enough self-awareness for that.

There is nothing he can gain from her except her identity. Thinking about it carefully, there is only one possibility: this was just how he was.

He's a rich bastard, who is used to wasting money, and utterly unserious.

Naruto had no idea that his casual decision to pull out a generator for Yugito's hair would earn him such an on-point evaluation.

He had only meant to lighten the mood after their serious conversation and wanted to probe Yugito a bit more.

Kurama was a useless dog, so he didn't even bring that guy with him. Yakumo and Ajisai are both weaklings, while their loyalty is fine, they are ultimately not very useful.

Right now, Naruto had no one to rely on. Yugito was his biggest trump card. While he didn't need to excessively flatter her, he had to maintain the right balance of pressure and leniency.

Once Yugito finished drying her hair, Naruto shamelessly turned off and stored the generator. He then took the hair dryer from her and tossed it back into his sealed space.

After doing all this, he didn't leave. Instead, he thick-skinnedly sat down again. He knew that Yugito didn't like him, but there was nothing she could do about it.

She found him irritating, but she couldn't get rid of him.

"You need something?" Yugito glanced at him, lowering the grey leather armor on her chest, "Can't hold back anymore?"

"What nonsense are you spouting?" Naruto was stunned for a moment, then turned around and cursed, "Do you think I'm some kind of breeding stallion? Am I that kind of person?"

Yugito didn't answer. She simply gave him a deep look, the meaning was self-evident, 'What else could you possibly be thinking about?'

"Cough, let me tell you something serious." Naruto coughed awkwardly, feeling a little guilty. His past didn't exactly support his argument, but at least he had a clear conscience when it came to his subordinates.

"Oh? What is it?" Yugito asked.

"It's not urgent, so let's talk about something else first." Naruto, as usual, played coy, testing Yugito's reaction, "Do you think I'm deliberately retaliating against Kumogakure?"

"Aren't you?" She glanced at Naruto.

"Haha, some things aren't as simple as they seem. Kumogakure has been developing Jinchuriki power and Chakra Weapons for years. What do you think they're preparing for?" He asked.

Hearing this, Yugito had no response.

What else could Kumogakure be planning? Obviously, they were stockpiling strength for war, aiming to overpower the other Four Great Shinobi Countries for their own interests.

The benefits and interests at stake were self-evident. Kumogakure had been lying low, waiting for the right moment. There was no way it was just about pride.

On the surface, the Land of Fire maintained its dominant position thanks to the lingering influence of the God of Shinobi, Hashirama Senju.

However, in recent years, Konoha had made several reckless moves, drastically weakening its strength.

The once-feared Nidaime Hokage had long been buried, and the Sandaime Hokage had met a rather undignified end. Konoha's strongest clan, the Uchiha, had been wiped out, and the Senju Clan had nearly vanished.

What remained were old, irrelevant matters, and Konoha was now a chaotic mess. To put it bluntly, they are strong on the outside, but weak on the inside.

Kirigakure had been devastated by the Bloody Mist Era and was now barely held together by Terumi Mei. Without the undying Onoki holding the fort, the ever-unpopular Iwagakure would have been ganged up on long ago.

Sunagakure, on the other hand, was now run by a bunch of immature brats. Their foundation was so weak that they had no choice but to ally with their former enemy, Konoha, just to recover.

In contrast, Kumogakure had remained relatively stable. Sandaime Raikage had died in the Third Shinobi World War, taking down a thousand enemies with him to preserve Kumogakure's strength.

The Yondaime Raikage, A, wasn't extraordinarily powerful, but compared to the competition, he seemed much stronger.

The same applied to Kumogakure as a whole. Its rise wasn't due to its own excellence… it was simply that the other villages had fallen into chaos.

Kirigakure was ruined by Obito, Sunagakure was nearly destroyed by Orochimaru, Konoha was ruining itself, and Iwagakure was weak beyond measure. Their underwear was thinner than paper, but their ambition was higher than the sky.

Meanwhile, Kumogakure's remote location meant it was naturally separated from the other Four Great Shinobi Countries. This made it difficult for enemies to infiltrate and made underhanded plots largely meaningless.

All these factors had allowed Kumogakure to thrive.

Hearing Naruto openly pointed out Kumogakure's ambitions, for a moment, Yugito had no way to refute. After all, Naruto was from Konoha, and it was reasonable for him to stop Kumogakure from provoking a war.

Seeing her remain silent, Naruto chuckled and continued.

"They have nothing better to do than to start a Shinobi World War. It's a waste of time, really. What's wrong with me interfering a little? Do you think the Yondaime Raikage would just obediently listen to me?"

"So your plan is to replace him? And you want me to be your puppet?" Yugito asked speechlessly, thinking that this guy really deserved to die.

"More or less, but you've only got half of it right." Naruto replied, "Becoming the Raikage isn't something that happens overnight. But if I just wanted to stop a war, I wouldn't need to take the long route."

"If I could take you away, I could do the same with the Hachibi's Jinchuriki." As he said this, he made a slicing motion across his neck, "There are plenty of ways. As long as Kumogakure is thrown into chaos, they won't be able to start a war."

Yugito pondered this for a moment and realized that it was true. If the goal was just to prevent Kumogakure from starting a war, there were simpler solutions than letting her fight for the Raikage's position.

At first, she didn't take it seriously, because she just thought Naruto was just an idle person, a pure fool with nothing to do.

But now, hearing him lay it out so clearly, she realized that he must have a deeper plan.
