Chapter 36: Chapter 35 (Bonus)

The bank manager, feeling the unbearable pain of his fractured arm and the increasing pressure from the foot on his back, finally broke down.

He shouted hoarsely:

"Don't kill me! Whatever you want, I'll do it! I'll do anything you ask!"

"Oh? That's good to hear~"

Morin's lips curved into a faint smile. "I'm not particularly interested in your dirty dealings with those robbers. What I do care about, though, is one specific matter."

"You mentioned earlier that you helped those three robbers get identification documents, correct?"

"Yes! Yes!"

Sweat poured down the manager's face as he nodded frantically.

"There's been a recent war in a neighboring country, and a lot of refugees have fled here," he babbled, speaking as fast as he could. "The government is currently tallying the number of refugees and planning to issue identification for them.

"Among these refugees, many have died unexpectedly, leaving their identities available to be claimed by others. I have a relative in city hall who can secure a few slots for me."

The manager forced an awkward smile. "Once the slots are issued, it doesn't matter who gets them. No one cares about the true identities of those refugees."

"Interesting."

Morin nodded slightly. "I'll need eight of them."

"Sure, sure!"

The bank manager agreed immediately, though his gaze darted nervously.

Noticing the hesitation, Morin glanced at the accountant-bodyguard beneath his other foot.

"Can you handle this matter?"

"Yes…" The man replied softly without daring to lift his head. After a moment's pause, he added, "I have access to the boss's contacts and even his official seal."

"Perfect."

Morin nodded, then, without hesitation, pressed down harder with his foot.

"Crack!"

The bank manager's pupils dilated as blood spurted from his mouth.

"Sorry, but since your subordinate can take care of this, why would I still need you?"

Shrugging, Morin looked down at the manager, who was now coughing up blood uncontrollably. "Besides, your unpleasant collaboration with those robbers makes me uneasy. I wouldn't want you to betray me later."

With those words, the manager's body went limp, his head tilting to the side as life faded from his eyes.

"You bastard!"

A gust of wind surged forward as the hooked-nose man, his face contorted with rage, lunged at Morin.

The eagle talons formed by his Nen swiped toward Morin's face, charged with killing intent.

"Is this how you show your gratitude?" Morin clapped his hands together, smirking. "No need to thank me. I only did this to prevent your little 'partner' from betraying you after your deal was done."

"But you don't have to express your gratitude this intensely."

If not for his focus on channeling his aura into his strongest, hate-fueled strike, the hooked-nose man would've spit in Morin's face.

As he closed in, he suddenly noticed something strange: a gun had appeared in Morin's hand out of nowhere.

"My talons can tear through any bullet!" he sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. "Firearms are useless against me!"

Despite his taunts, a chill crept up his spine. He hadn't seen Morin draw the gun from anywhere on his person. It had simply appeared in his hand.

"A conjured weapon?" he thought, wary. "A manifestation ability, perhaps? But what's its effect?"

Even as he pondered, Morin calmly aimed the gun and fired.

Click.

The hooked-nose man froze.

No sound of a gunshot. No muzzle flash. No smoke.

"Is it… a toy gun?" he wondered, momentarily dumbfounded.

"This isn't a toy."

Morin, seeing his confusion, chuckled. "This is called the Floating Gun."

"Floating…?"

Before the man could fully process the words, he felt it. His body began to swell, and his feet left the ground.

"What the—?!"

He watched in horror as his body inflated like a balloon and started drifting upward. At the same time, the Nen he had gathered dissipated entirely.

"What did you do to me?!" he yelled, his voice tinged with panic.

"Just relax and enjoy floating in the air for a while."

Morin smiled as he holstered the gun, completely unbothered.

The Floating Gun was a tool he had received just after midnight.

Item: Floating Gun

Effect: A six-shot revolver. Anyone hit by its bullets will not sustain injuries but will inflate like a balloon and float uncontrollably. They'll remain airborne, unable to do anything, until the effect wears off or one hour passes.

This quirky weapon originated from Doraemon: Nobita and the Galaxy Super Express, where it was used in the Western-themed segment of the story. Later, it reappeared in Doraemon: Nobita and the Windmaster Adventure, cementing its reputation as a comedic yet practical tool.

And now, in Morin's hands, it was just as effective—transforming his enemies into helpless balloons drifting into the sky.
