In Honkai with Tom Cat

The Herrscher of Thunder's face was filled with fear as she looked at the man and cat in the distance.

What was going on with that cat? Could it really be an immortal being? But that was almost impossible!

How could there be an existence in this world, other than gods, that could be immortal? Could it be that this cat was on par with gods? But how could that be?

She looked at Tom, who was enjoying being petted by Li Huan. How could such an existence possibly submit to an ordinary human?

No, this human was far from ordinary. How could an ordinary man survive her thunder without dying? Even though his clothes were torn, not a single hair on him was harmed.

She couldn't understand it, but looking at Tom, she no longer had the courage to continue fighting this cat. If even her strongest attack couldn't kill this cat, who knew what kind of monstrous act this cat might do to her later?

"Sorry," Kiana whispered into the Herrscher's ear with a smile, her head resting against the Herrscher's. "I'd be quite troubled if you forgot about me."

"What?! It's you!"

The Herrscher of Thunder looked at her in shock. This human, who had fought her twice before, was deeply etched in her memory.

"Hehe, it's me," Kiana chuckled, her hands glowing as she continued to hold on tightly. "Now, it's time to settle the score between us."

The Herrscher felt the Honkai energy within her being suppressed, a weakening sensation gradually overwhelming her.

"This is the Kaslana family's power to suppress Honkai energy. Enjoy it to the fullest!"

"Damn it, let me go! Let go of me now!" The Herrscher struggled, trying to shake Kiana off as she flew into the sky, but Kiana used all her strength to hold on, ensuring the Herrscher couldn't escape.

"You can't get away! Hand this body back to its rightful owner!"

"Are you kidding? I finally found the perfect opportunity to suppress her consciousness, there's no way I'm letting you wake her up!"

As Kiana said, this body originally didn't belong to the Herrscher of Thunder but to a girl named Mei Raiden.

Usually, when someone becomes a Herrscher, their original personality disappears, and the new personality, the so-called Herrscher personality, takes control of the body.

Herrscher personalities are typically violent and loyal to the Honkai—of course, there are many exceptions, but that's another matter.

However, Mei Raiden's case was special.

She was artificially turned into a Herrscher, which meant her original personality still existed and constantly influenced the Herrscher personality.

This was why, during her previous battles with Kiana, the Herrscher of Thunder was suppressed—Mei Raiden was always interfering, and Kiana kept talking, strengthening Mei's willpower.

Normally, even after an hour, the Herrscher of Thunder wouldn't be able to take control of the body. Mei Raiden's spirit was strong enough to last at least two or three hours without issue.

However, something happened an hour ago that changed everything—

"No, why am I suddenly reminiscing here?"

The Herrscher of Thunder snapped out of her thoughts. Why had she suddenly started having flashbacks?

Feeling her power being suppressed within her and the human personality starting to regain control, she knew she couldn't let this continue.

Suddenly, a large amount of electricity burst out from the Herrscher's body.

Kiana didn't expect the Herrscher of Thunder to still be able to unleash such power, and holding onto her so closely, she was directly electrocuted.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!!!"

Kiana was shocked so intensely that her skeleton was visible as if she'd been X-rayed.

By the time the electric current subsided, Kiana's entire body was covered in burn marks from the electricity, her hair had turned into an afro, and her face was covered in soot.

She spat out a mouthful of black smoke and released her grip, collapsing onto the ground.

"Perfect opportunity!"

Taking advantage of Kiana's release, the Herrscher of Thunder immediately flew higher into the sky.

But the Herrscher wasn't in great shape either. Her face was pale, sweat dripping from her forehead, and she was breathing heavily, flying unsteadily as if she could fall at any moment.

The attack she had just unleashed was the result of pushing her remaining power to the limit to escape, but it had also caused her significant harm.

In a few more minutes, she would temporarily lose her power and become an ordinary person, needing time to recover her strength.

But it was all worth it. As long as she could escape and find a place to regain her power, she could take full control of this body...

As the Herrscher of Thunder flew higher, Li Huan and Tom arrived at Kiana's side.

"Hey, are you alright?"

Seeing Kiana with her afro, Li Huan grabbed her hair and shook her. Kiana quickly regained consciousness.

"It's over!" Kiana leaped to her feet, frantically looking around. "Where did the Herrscher of Thunder go?"

Li Huan pointed to the Herrscher's silhouette in the sky. "She ran away."

"Damn it, we can't let her escape!" Kiana said with frustration as she watched the Herrscher flying further and further into the distance. "If she gets away this time, who knows how strong she'll be next time... Damn it!"

As Li Huan watched the Herrscher of Thunder flying toward the horizon, he sighed deeply. "Sigh... I really didn't want to use this, but now that we're here, I have no choice."

As he spoke, he pulled out his wooden sword.

"What are you planning?"

Kiana looked at Li Huan's actions in confusion. "She's already gone, what are you pulling out your weapon for? Do you plan to have your cat use it as a flying device to knock her down?"

"Though that would work too, there's no need to go through all that trouble," Li Huan said as he raised the wooden sword high. "I can handle this myself."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean this!"

Li Huan pointed the wooden sword at the Herrscher of Thunder and swung it downward forcefully.

*Pa~*

The moment he swung the wooden sword downward, a pair of jade-like hands caught the blade.

"Huh?"

Cold sweat formed on the Herrscher of Thunder's forehead, her face filled with confusion.

She had been flying a moment ago, but now, out of nowhere, she suddenly found herself here.

"Why am I here?"

She looked at her hands in shock, which had perfectly caught Li Huan's wooden sword, making a flawless, hundred-percent effective blade catch.

"Welcome back, Miss Herrscher of Thunder."

Seeing the girl kneeling before him, Li Huan flashed a wicked smile. "Where do you think you're going?"
