The Alchemy Commission lay devastated.

Signs of fierce battles and scattered remains were visible everywhere.

Bochang nodded solemnly, "I can guess one reason why we haven't encountered any Cloud Knights here... They have likely been transformed into Mara-Struck Soldiers. This explains why there are so few Cloud Knight corpses."

The sight of countless bodies strewn across the ground was deeply unsettling.

Even for Bochang, witnessing the Alchemy Commission in this state caused unease.

Facing these deceased remains, he knew he couldn't help them. The Horse Talisman's power, though formidable, could only save those with their last breath remaining.

For the lifeless corpses, it was utterly helpless.

"That makes sense..." March 7th nodded thoughtfully.

Welt continued, "Time is of the essence; let's proceed."

No one objected to Uncle Yang's suggestion.

Thus...

under the guidance of Bailu and Qingque, the group continued deeper into the Alchemy Commission.

As a former resident here, the young dragoness Bailu was quite familiar with the area, and Qingque had visited multiple times as well, ensuring they wouldn't get lost.

Not long after their journey resumed, two figures appeared ahead.

One was a foxfolk woman dressed in healer's attire, seemingly treating a Cloud Knight seated on the ground.

Bochang and his companions hastily descended from the stone bridge.

Hearing the commotion, the foxfolk healer turned around and said, "You're not cloud knights... What brings you here? It's extremely dangerous. Wait... Aren't you Lady Bailu?"

Recognizing the little dragon girl accompanying Bochang, the foxfolk healer's eyes lit up.

As the designated successor to become the next High Elder of Vidyadhara, Bailu's Timing Essence was highly coveted by many.

Fortunately, this Dragon Girl had fled swiftly; otherwise, who knows what might have transpired at the Alchemy Commission.

Sensing something amiss, Welt Yang cautiously asked, "We were summoned by the General as reinforcements. Could you tell us where the others went?"

"Quick...quickly escape... This guy is...is from the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus," whispered the dying cloud knight seated on the ground.

The foxfolk medic turned with visible dissatisfaction. "Too talkative! If I heal you, you'll become one of us too, so...you would help capture the Dragon Girl, wouldn't you?"

To Bochang's ears, the foxfolk medic's tone seemed borderline deranged. Are all members of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus such lunatics? If so, how did they manage to infiltrate the Alchemy Commission for so long without being discovered?

Numerous questions swirled through Bochang's mind.

Just as the foxfolk medic finished speaking, the dying cloud knight abruptly stood up...

Suddenly, the dying Cloud Knight sitting on the ground sprang up... grotesque branches began to grow from his body, intertwining with his armor as flesh and metal fused together.

Yellow gingko leaves emerged all over him, barely preserving his humanoid shape.

Bochang could hardly recognize this figure as the same Cloud Knight from before.

The foxfolk medic took half a step back.

In an instant...

more monstrous creatures emerged from the streets and alleys, encircling Bochang's group completely.

March 7th scanned the scene and remarked, "Yet another predicament. It seems we have no choice but to fight."

"Hurry...get away! I can't control myself anymore!" The newly transformed Mara-Struck Soldier, once a cloud knight, shouted hoarsely for the last time.

Under the watchful gaze of Bochang and the others, he desperately raised his weapon, charging towards them.

The foxfolk medic observed with keen interest, treating it merely as a spectacle.

To her, they were just insignificant members of short-lived races. She remained unconcerned, focusing solely on the diviner from the Divination Commission and the Dragon Girl.

Unfortunately for her...

Unaware that these seemingly ordinary short-lived beings were actually formidable fate travelers, the foxfolk medic underestimated them. Even the weakest among them, Serval, was not to be taken lightly.

As Stelle began raising her metallic baseball bat, Bochang intercepted and said, "Leave this to me."

Seeing his gesture...

Stelle lowered her bat once more.

The others refrained from intervening, watching Bochang quietly, unsure of what he intended to do next.

"Since noble horses can dispel all external influences, I wonder... will it affect Mara-Struck afflictions as well?" Bochang's eyes narrowed slightly.

Mara-Struck affliction is essentially a disease. Conveniently, the Horse Talisman claims to cure all illnesses. With this talisman, Bochang effectively surpassed even Bailu in medical expertise; even Hua Tuo, the renowned physician, would bow down to him in admiration.

As the Mara-Struck Soldier drew closer,

Bochang stepped forward, directly confronting the enemy.

The soldier keenly sensed Bochang's approach, but unfortunately, their power disparity was too vast.

Whatever Bochang planned...the Mara-Struck Soldier could not react in time. He only felt a tap on his chest before his body instantly stiffened and collapsed backward.

A blinding white light flashed.

The Mara-Struck Soldier's experiences over several hundred years rapidly replayed in his mind.

"Is this life flashing before my eyes? I...I'm dead? Just from one slap?" thought the still partially lucid soldier.

In a way, it was for the best; he wouldn't harm anyone else now. Moreover, with General Jing Yuan's formidable reinforcements arriving, there was no need to worry about his comrades' safety. He could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

"I...have no regrets in death..."

The white glow dissipated.

The Cloud Knight crumpled heavily onto the ground, completely unaware that all symptoms of being Mara-Struck had vanished from his body. Convinced he had died, he felt no change.

Bochang, observing the serene expression on the fallen Cloud Knight's face, couldn't help but scratch his head.

"Did he...fake a fall just for attention?"

All Bochang had done was tap the soldier's chest and infuse him with the power of the Horse Talisman.

"What...what happened here? What exactly did you do?"

Witnessing Bochang effortlessly restore a recently transformed Mara-Struck Soldier to his original state, the foxfolk healer's eyes nearly bulged out.

Qingque, March 7th, Bailu, and others had experienced so many surprises by now that seeing Bochang perform such feats seemed almost routine. The memory of him rebuilding the Exalting Sanctum, reviving the near-dead Xianzhou soldiers from the brink, was still vivid in their minds...

As they departed, they could hear numerous Xianzhou survivors mentioning blessings from the Aeon.

Even March 7th jokingly asked Bochang what title he should adopt for these deeds.

Upon hearing this,

...Bochang inadvertently recalled being called "Ah Ba," a less-than-fond memory.

Uninterested in clarifying anything, Bochang looked at the foxfolk healer and bluntly stated, "You're a bad woman, aren't you?"

"Huh?" She responded with evident confusion.

Bochang clenched his fists tightly.

"I said...you're a bad woman, aren't you."

Confused by his accusation, a flash of ferocity crossed the foxfolk healer's eyes. She promptly retreated and ordered the surrounding Mara-stricken soldiers and various fearsome warbeasts to attack.

However, in the next instant, Bochang's fist loomed before her face.

Her pupils trembled with sudden fear that surged within her heart. Just as she tried to dodge, the solid punch landed squarely on her chest. Unable to withstand such immense force, her body shattered, sending chunks of flesh flying in all directions.

The scene was brutally bloody.

It was confirmed—she indeed was a bad woman. Otherwise, Bochang's punch wouldn't have been so devastatingly powerful.
