Chapter 109 - The Complete Bankai of Hyōrinmaru!

"The strongest ice-type Zanpakuto versus the strongest fire-type Zanpakuto in the Soul Society. Which one is stronger?"

That statement carried a lot of weight.

Everyone knew that the strongest fire-type Zanpakuto in the Soul Society was Ryūjin Jakka, wielded by Yamamoto.

The key question remained: how could Gilgamesh activate Hyōrinmaru's Bankai when the Zanpakuto was still in Hitsugaya's hands?

Gilgamesh flexed his body slightly, as if adjusting to it, and murmured, "It's been a long time since I felt this power."

As he spoke, an even more intense chill erupted from Gilgamesh, amplifying the already extreme cold.

The temperature plummeted so drastically that even moving became difficult for the captains.

Not only that, their thoughts began to slow down, so much so that they didn't realize their bodies were being encased in ice.

Of course, Yamamoto noticed.

Without hesitation, he recited, "All things of this world, turn to ashes, Ryūjin Jakka!"

In an instant, a blazing inferno erupted, dispersing the extreme cold and filling the air with steam, snapping everyone back to their senses.

As they looked at the melting ice covering their bodies, they couldn't help but feel a chill of fear.

If Yamamoto hadn't acted, they might have turned to ice without even realizing it.

"Let's see if the fully unleashed Hyōrinmaru can freeze your flames completely!"

As he spoke, Gilgamesh took another step forward.

With just that single step, an overwhelming freezing force spread outward from his foot.

The heat that Ryūjin Jakka had generated quickly dissipated, and the bitter cold returned.

The captains realized something was wrong and tried to escape, but it was too late—Gilgamesh took two more steps.

"Four Realms, Frozen!"

In the next moment, a frozen world descended, encasing everyone, including Yamamoto, in ice!
