Chapter 13: Chapter 13: A Black Affair
Peverell Beach House, Cornwall, 8/24/1982, 10:23
Harry stepped out onto the deck and breathed in the sea air, he took his plate and sat down at the tiny table, he was starting to enjoy eating his breakfast out here.
He knew in a short time it would become too cold to enjoy the ocean air with his breakfast so he would enjoy it while he could.
Last night had been surreal, after he had proposed to Bellatrix they had made love on the beach, neither one of them accounted for the fact that sand clung to moisture and they both spent an hour getting sand out of some very uncomfortable places.
Today they had planned to share the news with Narcissa and Andromeda, Harry was fairly certain one of them would be by soon.
Bellatrix was still sleeping when he woke up so Harry had snuck out to let her get her rest, her breakfast was on the kitchen table under a stasis charm.
He was a bit unsure how to proceed from here, he knew he needed to focus on getting the soul shard out of his younger self but was at a loss of how to go about doing that.
He had been debating on taking out some of the death eaters that had avoided Azkaban but was unsure if that would be a wise move right now. He had already dealt with five death eaters and two sympathisers since coming to this timeline, six if you counted the fact that Bellatrix had abandoned the cause.
"You look thoughtful this morning?" Bellatrix said as she brought her bowl of porridge with her and took a seat at the table, then levitated a large tray of fruit onto the centre of the table.
"Yeah, how are you feeling this morning?" Harry asked curiously.
"A little queasy when I woke up but those potions Cissa gave me fixed that," Bellatrix said as she took a bite of her breakfast.
"Do you need to go to St. Mungos?" Harry asked looking up from his food.
"No, Bella will be fine," Bellatrix said looking unconcerned.
Before Harry could ask anymore he heard the floo going off and looked at the door leading into the house curiously.
"Harry, Bella are you here?" Narcissa's voice called from the sitting room.
"Out here, Cissa," Bellatrix called back.
"Ah I see we caught you at breakfast," Narcissa said leading Draco out onto the porch.
Good morning Cissa are you hungry?" Harry asked politely.
No thank you, Harry," Narcissa said before looking down at her son, "say hello Draco," Narcissa instructed gently.
"Hello," Draco said nervously.
Hello Draco" Harry said kindly making the toddler grin at him.
"What is that on your finger Bella?" Narcissa asked her eyes zeroing in on the engagement ring.
Harry proposed last night after you all left," Bellatrix exclaimed showing off the silver ring with a large circular purple diamond set into it.
"Oh how wonderful," Narcissa said pulling Bellatrix into a hug.
Draco stood there watching confused before saying, "mummy happy."
"Yes, your mum is happy," Harry agreed.
"What's this symbol inside the diamond?" Narcissa asked curiously as she examined Bella's ring closely.
"The Peverell crest," Harry explained.
"I've seen this mark before I just can't place it," Narcissa said thoughtfully.
"Grindlewald used my family's crest in the twenties and thirties," Harry answered watching as Narcissa nodded in realisation.
"You never did say why that was," Bellatrix commented.
"Oh, well there is a story called 'The Tale of Three Brothers' that mentions three objects my family created, Grindlewald was obsessed with uniting the three objects because he believed they would make him master of death," Harry said with a shake of his head.
"That is just a children's bedtime story," Narcissa said with an uncharacteristic scoff.
"Actually the three objects are real," Harry said with a shrug.
"Really do you know where they are?" Bellatrix asked excitedly.
"Yeah but I don't have any need for them," Harry answered before offering Draco a piece of melon from the fuit tray.
"What do we say Draco," Narcissa asked when Draco eagerly accepted the fruit.
"Fank you," Draco said before popping the fruit into his mouth.
"Your welcome," Harry said watching Draco wander over to his mother.
"Where did you get this, the craftsmanship is superb?" Narcissa said inspecting Bella's ring more closely.
The band looked like three thin vines twisting around each other before coiling around to form the setting for the two-carat purple diamond, set inside the centre of the gem was the ghostly image of the Peverell family crest.
"Cutter's Fine Jewels in Diagon Alley," Harry answered.
"It looks wonderful do you have the Peverell family ring?" Narcissa asked finally releasing her sister's hand.
"I just recently acquired the original capstone and have commissioned a ring to be made around it," Harry said getting a curious look from Bellatrix.
"I suppose you discussed your engagement with Sirius yesterday?" Narcissa asked as she took a seat at the table.
"Yes, he gave his blessing as Lord Black," Harry assured her.
"Did he warn you that Uncle Arcturus would want to meet with you?" Narcissa asked her eyes showing the slightest bit of amusement.
"Yes, though I have no idea when he will want to meet," Harry said feeling a bit anxious about meeting Sirius' grandfather.
"Oh, I expect you will get a letter the next time he sees the family tapestry," Narcissa said cryptically.
Harry was about to ask what she meant when the floo flared to life again, Harry was a bit surprised when Sirius came out onto the deck carrying little Harry with him.
"Good morning all," Sirius said setting his younger self down.
"Padfoot, how's it going?" Harry asked casually.
"Good I came here to offer you and cousin Bellatrix an invitation to dine with my grandfather this Saturday at five," Sirius said formally before swiping a chunk of melon from the fruit tray.
"I told you," Narcissa said looking quite smug.
"That was faster than I thought it would be," Harry said.
"Yes well grandfather saw the family tapestry this morning and woke me up to interrogate me about you and Bella's relationship, did you ask her yet?" Sirius asked.
"Yes thankfully or you would have just shot my proposal all to hell," Harry said chucking a piece of melon at Sirius' head.
"Is that any way to treat a lord of your future bride's house," Sirius demanded dramatically as he caught the fruit and threw it back missing Harry's head by a few inches.
"Boys act like adults you're setting a bad example for the children," Narcissa said sternly looking at Draco and Harry who had been watching Sirius and Harry's food fight with interest.
"Yes Cissa," Harry and Sirius said in unison.
"So are you staying for a while or just coming by to deliver the message," Harry asked after Sirius had taken a seat.
"I wanted to let Harry play on the beach, it won't be summer for much longer," Sirius said with a shrug.
"I imagine this place will be pretty miserable around October," Harry said thoughtfully.
"If it gets too bad here you can stay in my mom's old place," Sirius offered.
"Thanks so is there anything I need to know about your grandfather?" Harry asked.
"Yeah, he hates brownnosers so don't try and be overly polite," Sirius said after thinking about it.
"Great who all will be there?" Harry asked not liking how much Sirius seemed to be enjoying delivering bad news.
"Everyone in the immediate family plus my Aunt Cassiopeia," Sirius said cheerfully.
"No! That old bats still alive?" Bellatrix exclaimed sounding concerned.
"Ah she is very much alive," Sirius assured Bellatrix looking like Christmas had come early.
"I take it she is intimidating," Harry asked surprised at the look of worry on Bellatrix's face.
"She is terrifying, it's rumoured but never proven that she was an acolyte in the late twenties and early thirties," Narcissa explained also looking alarmed at the thought of a dinner with her great aunt.
"Great, I suppose I will have to get some dress robes," Harry said starting to feel anxious about the coming dinner.
"Don't worry Andy will be the one in the hot seat," Sirius said in a tone that was supposed to be comforting but the gleeful look on his face contradicted his words.
"I thought she was disowned," Harry said sounding confused.
"I brought her and Nymphadora back into the family when I took up my lordship," Sirius explained.
"But not the mudblood?" Bellatrix asked.
"I tried but the Black family magic would not accept him and I thought Harry made you stop saying that," Sirius demanded.
"The punishment didn't seem to deter her very much," Harry said with a shake of his head, he had given up trying to make her stop saying it weeks ago.
"But your mother was a muggleborn?" Sirius protested hotly.
"According to Gringotts she was a half-blood," Harry said with a shrug.
"But how is that possible?" Sirius demanded knowing perfectly well Lily's parents were muggles.
"I have two theories about that, one my grandmother had an adulterous relationship with a man named Reginald Byrd and hid the fact from her husband, or two she was enchanted, taken advantage of, and memory charmed by a man named Reginald Byrd," Harry explained to the surprise of all three Blacks.
"Can't you track the guy down and find out for sure?" Sirius asked still looking a bit shocked.
"Unfortunately there is no way to find out for sure, I already looked into him, Reginald Byrd was killed in Diagon Alley during the death eater attack of seventy-five," Harry answered not sure he really wanted to know the truth anyway.
When Harry had set up his identity last month at Gringotts, Longblade had traced his lineage through blood he had provided.
The blood was mixed with a potion and then poured onto a piece of enchanted parchment. The blood-potion mixture had worked similar to the Marauders map and drawn out his family tree showing every wizard ancestor from both sides of his family.
On his father's side, he could trace his lineage all the way back to the late fifteen hundreds when Lolanthe Peverell had wed Hardwin Potter, which Harry had already known about.
What he hadn't expected was that it had also shown a detailed family tree on his mother's side as well.
There was only one magical ancestor on his maternal grandmother's side, a woman named Malantha Gaunt that married his great-great-grandfather almost a century ago.
The real surprise was his maternal grandfather's side of the tree, Lily's father didn't show up as Mark Evans as he expected.
According to the test, his grandfather's name was Reginald Byrd, he was part of a cadet line of the Byrd family which was a very old pureblood family that had recently gone extinct in the male line.
This information wasn't that important in the long run since he was not descended from the direct line, he had no claim on the Byrd family vaults and most of its members were dead. He had pushed it from his mind as he had more important things to think about at the time.
"So you're technically a pureblood?" Narcissa exclaimed looking pleased at hearing this news.
"Why didn't you say anything until now?" Bellatrix asked sounding annoyed.
"It didn't seem all that important to be honest," Harry said with a shrug.
"It will make things go a lot easier on Saturday," Sirius said looking put out for some reason.
"Good, from what I'm hearing it sounds like I'm walking into the snake pit," Harry said with a grimace.
"You have no idea mate, "Sirius said with a smirk.
Harry heard the 'woosh' of the floo and not long after Andromeda joined them on the deck.
" Where's your sprog?" Sirius asked.
"I left her with Ted, he's got the day off from work and I could use a day to myself," Andromeda said.
"Well great news Andy, Bella's engaged and you and Tonks are invited to have dinner with grandfather and Aunt Cassie on Saturday night," Sirius exclaimed happily.
Harry was amused to watch the smile on her face vanish to be replaced by a look of someone who had just been informed they needed to have their right arm amputated.
"Oh bugger!" Andromeda exclaimed.
"Language Andy," Narcissa scolded indicating Draco and Harry who were playing with some of the action figures Tonks had left here.
"Sorry but I thought the old bat was already dead," Andromeda exclaimed
"So did I," Bellatrix agreed.
"She can't be that bad," Harry said optimistically.
"If she sees your tattoo she'll love you," Bellatrix said with a smirk.
"What tattoo?" Sirius asked looking at Harry.
Harry pulled the neck of his shirt down so Sirius could see the Peverell crest that was tattooed over the left side of his chest in dark black ink.
"Oh I've seen that symbol before, some wacky Ravenclaw said it was the mark of the deathly hallows," Sirius said after staring at the tattoo for a minute.
"Xeno Lovegood I presume?" Harry asked with a grin.
"Yeah that's the bloke, frightfully intelligent but absolutely batshit bonkers," Sirius said before yelping when Cissa nailed him in the thigh with a stinging hex.
"You will not teach the children that uncouth language," Narcissa scolded.
"I need to keep an eye on the Lovegoods, his wife had a fatal accident in nineteen ninety," Harry said more to himself.
"I take it you knew him?" Sirius asked.
"Not well, I was friends with his daughter in school," Harry explained.
"Right, I had better get Harry down to the beach, and don't you have some robes to buy?" Sirius asked with a smirk.
"You really are a wan-
Harry was cut off midsentence and barely dodged the stinging hex aimed at his leg making the toddlers giggle at him.
" Yeah, I think I'll go get some dress robes," Harry said before twisting on the spot and disappearing before Cissa could try again.
Black Cottage, Wales, 8/28/1982, 16:55
Harry stepped nervously out of the fireplace into a large sitting room and stepped to the side of the fireplace as Bellatrix stepped through behind him.
"I haven't been here in years," Bellatrix said looking around the sitting room.
"Yes, you haven't been here since you were a teenager," A gruff voice said from the doorway.
"Hello Uncle, it has been a long time," Bellatrix said with a smile.
"Hello Bella you look lovely this evening," Arcturus replied politely.
Harry turned to the right to see a man that looked to be in his late fifties but with magicals that could be deceiving, the man looked like an older version of Sirius with the same grey eyes and cheekbones, the man's hair was cut short and was greying around his temples.
"You must be Mr Peverell?" Arcturus Black said offering Harry his hand.
"Yes sir, Harry Peverell but please call me Harry," Harry said accepting the offered hand and shaking it firmly.
"Arcturus Black, you can call me Arcturus," The man said before releasing his hand.
"I suppose Sirius hasn't arrived yet?" Harry asked curiously.
"No, the whelp is never on time for anything, come along, everyone else is in the dining room," Arcturus said as he led them down the hallway.
This place was the complete opposite of Grimmauld place, everything here felt light and welcoming, the hallways were panelled in light honey-coloured wood with large landscape paintings hanging on the walls and the floor was covered in soft white carpet muffling their footsteps.
When they entered the dining room Harry took a moment to look around, there were large bay windows that let the evening sunshine, the room had light coloured hardwood floors that almost seemed to glow in the sunlight, there was a brass chandelier handing over the table from the vaulted ceiling above, and rhe same honey-coloured wood panelling covered the walls giving the room a warm tone.
"This place is so much nicer than Grimmauld Place," Harry said as they entered the kitchen.
"I always hated that place and it only got worse when Walburga took the place over, this house was gifted to us by my wife's family," Arcturus said as he gestured to the two seats to his left.
Harry pulled Bellatrix's chair out for her and after she was seated he took his own, the table was long and rectangular and was nowhere near filled to capacity.
Seated across from him and Bellatrix were Narcissa who looked perfectly at her ease, Draco was sitting in a wooden highchair and looking around curiously, they both were wearing formal dress robes though Harry suspected Draco's would be covered in food very shortly.
Sitting to Draco's left was Tonks who looked miserable wearing a very formal set of dress robes and sitting up straight in her chair, she looked up when Harry sat down and gave him a look that he interpretted as 'get me out of here!'
Andromeda was sitting to her left, she was also wearing formal robes and looking anxious and would occasionally glance to her left.
Sitting next to Andromeda was a tall thin elderly woman with white hair put up in a tight bun on top of her head, her eyes were a light grey and were currently studying him critically, she had the same cheekbones as all the other Blacks and looked to be around the same age as Arcturus.
"So you're Peverell?" The woman asked in a neutral tone.
"Yes ma'am, Harry Peverell," Harry said bowing his head slightly.
"Cassiopeia Black, but you can call me Cassie," The woman said her eyes never leaving his face.
"A pleasure to meet you," Harry said politely her staring was a bit unnerving.
"You look a lot like my late brother in law," Cassiopeia said thoughtfully.
"Who would that be?" Harry asked curiously.
"Charlus Potter," Cassiopeia replied.
"We're cousins of a sort but I honestly stopped keeping track of the family tree as I'm the only Peverell left, unless you count little Harry Potter," Harry admitted.
"What of your parents?" Cassiopea asked her eyes meeting his.
"They were killed when I was a little over a year old," Harry said truthfully.
"I see and what is it you do for a living?" The woman asked curiously.
"I am a problem solver, for the right price I can solve just about any problem you have," Harry said making Bellatrix snort.
Before Cassiopeia could ask any more questions Sirius walked into the room carrying little Harry in his arms.
"Late as usual I see," Arcturus said gruffly.
"Harry was being difficult," Sirius defended as he took a seat at the other end of the table.
"Well now that we're all here we can serve dinner," Arcturus said and a large spread appeared on the table courtesy of an attentive house elf.
Everyone tucked in and the conversation was limited to asking someone to pass the potatoes or Narcissa scolding Draco for being messy.
The food was well prepared and the beef wellington was some of the best he had ever had, Harry noticed Tonks was unusually subdued and had to wonder what Andy had threatened her with to make her behave.
After the dessert course was served and everyone had eaten their fill, the plates vanished and Arcturus cleared his throat.
"This meeting has been a long time coming, first we welcome Andromeda and her daughter Nymphadora back into the pBlack family." Arcturus said indicating the two before continuing, " I did not wish her disowned but unfortunately Orion was the one to make the decision."
"She did run away from her duty to the house of Black and married a mudblood," Cassiopea argued hotly.
"Be that as it may, the house of Black is down to less than a dozen members, we cannot afford to toss away family, if we are not careful we will go the way of so many other lines, have of late" Arcturus argued tiredly.
"I understand this cousin, with Regulus' death we're down to one male in the direct line, but the girl has shamed the family," Cassiopeia persisted.
"It can't be worse than the shame Regulus brought to the family by bowing before that half-blood nutter," Arcturus snarled making Bellatrix sit a bit lower in her chair.
"Actually Regulus died trying to destroy Tom Riddle," Harry spoke up.
"What? Who is Tom Riddle?" Arcturus asked distractedly.
"Tom Riddle is Voldemort's real name," Harry said simply.
"And Regulus was trying to destroy him?" Arcturus asked sceptically.
"Kreacher," Harry called out.
'pop'
"Yes, Master Harry?" Kreacher asked eagerly.
"Please show Arcturus the locket," Harry instructed.
Kreacher pulled Slytherin's locket from his pure white tea towel tied like a toga and presented it to Arcturus.
Arcturus picked up the locket and scanned it critically before turning it over and noticing the blackened hole in the back of it.
"What is this?" Arcturus asked in confusion.
"This is a founders relic, the locket of Salazar Slytherin. At one time it was an heirloom of the Gaunt family until Merope Gaunt sold it to Caractacus Burke. Voldemort tracked it down after he left Hogwarts and turned it into a Horcrux," Harry explained noticing Cassiopeia was the only one who seemed to understand what that meant.
"How does Regulus play into this?" Cassiopeia asked.
"He figured out what it was and attempted to steal it but died in the process, with his dying breath he ordered Kreacher to destroy it," Harry answered glad to share the truth about Regulus to the family.
"What's a Horcrux Cass?" Arcturus asked in confusion.
"We'll talk about it later, this is not a topic for children to hear," Cassiopea said.
"Right, we'll table that for later. Next we have Bellatrix's engagement which after I saw the tapestry a few days ago is very comforting," Arcturus said looking at Bellatrix making her cheeks turn pink.
"What's on the tapestry?" Harry asked confused.
"Wait you didn't know?" Sirius exclaimed incredulously.
"Know what?" Harry asked looking at Sirius in annoyance.
"I'm pregnant, Harry," Bellatrix said softly.
"Oh," Harry said sitting back in his chair as he tried to process this new information, suddenly the morning sickness Bellatrix had been suffering for the past week, the potions, and even the subtle hints Narcissa had been giving him all made perfect sense.
He was going to be a father, that thought filled him with equal parts joy and terror.
"I've seen that look before," Arcturus said with a chuckle.
Harry reached over and took Bellatrix's hand and squeezed it comfortingly giving her a soft smile that she returned her face showing relief.
Arcturus handed Kreacher the locket back and waved his hand in dismissal before turning back to Harry, "we need to decide on a wedding date, it would be best to do it before Bellatrix starts showing."
"I like October", Bellatrix spoke up.
"How about Samhain?" Harry suggested.
"Really, that would be wonderful," Bellatrix exclaimed happily.
"We can work with that, did Sirius discuss her dowry with you?" Arcturus asked curiously.
"No, we didn't talk about any of that and It's not something I'm concerned about to be honest," Harry admitted.
"It's traditional for the brides dowry to be transferred to her husband's vaults upon their wedding," Arcturus. explained.
"Then so be it but we have plenty of money as it is," Harry said with a shrug.
"Very well, then there is the marriage agreement which in your case will be more like an accelerated betrothal contract, infedility clauses and other odds and ends," Arcturus continued.
"Okay I suppose Andy can draw that up," Harry said before looking at Andy and getting a nod.
"Yes, I saw the memory of Bellatrix's trial you did very well in presentingher case," Arcturus said lookng at Andromeda in approval
" Thank you uncle?" Andy said looking pleased at the praise.
The next hour was mindnumbingly boring as Arcturus and Andromeda began composing the betrothal agreement, Bellatrix actually folded her arms on the table and lay her head down, Harry was just pondering whether or not she was actually asleep when Cassiopeia spoke.
" What is that?!" Cassiopea exclaimed looking at Bellatrix's ring as if she had seen a ghost.
"Huh?" Bellatrix asked opening her eyes.
"That symbol in your ring?" Cassiopea asked still staring at the ring as the if transfixed.
"That is the Peverell creat," Harry answered.
"Gellert was always obsessed with that symbol" Cassiopea said softly.
"He was looking for the Hallows," Harry said absentmindedly.
Yes, he had the wand but he never could find the other two," Cassiopea said more to herself.
"We're ready to go over this now," Andromeda cut in.
Harry was pulled back into more boredom as Andromeda explained all of the points of the betrothal contract.
"Alright there isn't all that much to this, firstly the infidelity clause which works both ways if either of you ate unfaithful to the other... be afflicted with horrible boils... on your...
All Harry really retained was that if he cheated on Bellatrix bad things would happen to him and honestly, he didn't need the contract to know that would happen anyway.
He listened with half an ear as Andromeda went through each clause of the contract.
"... you will be allowed use of the Black Villa in France anytime you wish, and finally the amount of fifty thousand galleons will be transferred to the Peverell vaults on the day of your wedding," Andromeda finished explaining.
" That sounds fine to me," Harry said not having heard anything in Andromeda's reading that gave him concern.
"Excellent, we will have the goblins write out the official contract and meet at Gringotts for the official signing next week," Arcturus said scowling when he noticed that Sirius had his head on the table.
"That will be fine with us," Harry said looking at Bellatrix who nodded her agreement.
"Excellent, I believe that is all of the business we need to discuss for the night," Arcturus said looking at Cassiopeia who nodded her agreement.
"Then we shall take our leave," Harry said as he rose from his chair.
"It was a pleasure meeting you, Harry," Arcturus said shaking Harry's hand.
"Yes it was indeed a pleasure you are a most interesting wizard," Cassiopeia said as she offered her hand,
Harry took her hand and place a kiss on her knuckles, "It was nice meeting you as well," Harry said genuinely.
Harry said his good byes to the rest of the family and as quickly as was polite led Bellatrix through the floo to their home.
Peverell Beach House, Cornwall, 8/28/1882, 20:38
"That was exhausting," Harry exclaimed as soon as they stepped into the house.
"Yes, I thought it would never end" Bellatrix agreed as she kicked off her boots and took a seat on the couch.
Harry kicked off his own boots and took a seat beside her, " why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?" Harry asked curiously.
"I was scared you'd be mad," Bellatrix said quietly
I'm not mad, though I do feel rather stupid, the clues were all there," Harry said ruefully.
"Cissa was hoping you would figure it out on your own," Bellatrix said with a grin.
"Yeah, I dropped the quaffle on that one," Harry said with a chuckle.
"Where are we going to get married?" Bellatrix asked changing the subject.
"I would say the beach but it will be way too cold by then," Harry replied.
"Not to mention windy," Bellatrix agreed.
"I'll look into it, I don't want us to freeze to death during the ceremony," Harry said thoughtfully.
"So you want an outside wedding?" Bellatrix asked.
"Yes if possible I would like to do it outside," Harry said.
"Then we will have it outside, let's go to bed," Bellatrix said getting up and taking his hand.
"I could use some sleep," Harry agreed following her up the stairs.
"Bella didn't say anything about sleeping," Bellatrix called over her shoulder.
Gringotts Bank, London, 9/2/1982, 11:23
Harry and Bellatrix were seated in a conference room with Longblade seated to their left, on the other side of the table sat Andromeda, Sirius, and the Black account manager Shattertooth.
"We have drawn up the contract as specified by Solicitor Tonks," Shattertooth said sliding a copy to both Harry and Sirius to look over, it was all written in legalese but Harry got the gist of it.
After Sirius perused it he nodded to his account goblin who layed a scroll on the table and unrolled before pulling a blood quill out of his pocket and handing it to Sirius.
After Sirius signed on the line and the contract bright flashed blue, Sirius slid it across the table to Harry.
Harry took the quill and signed on the dotted line below Sirius' signature feeling the familiar sting on the back of his hand from the quill, the contract flashed blue once again.
Next Bellatrix signed under his signature, and finally, Andromeda signed on the line to the right as a witness, the contract flashed bright gold before rolling itself up.
"The contract will be stored in the Black family vault, if there is nothing else then that concludes our business for today," Shattertooth said.
"Alright let's get some lunch," Sirius said standing up and heading towards the door.
"Where are we going?" Andromeda asked.
"The sandwich place down the alley, the waitress there is pretty cute," Sirius said as they stepped out of the bank.
"That must be the one we ate at before the Longbottom hag attacked me," Bellatrix said.
"The 'Happy Hippogriff'?" Harry asked Sirius who nodded.
"Your Grandfather wasn'tnear as bad as you made him out to be," Harry said as they started walking down the alley.
"That's because he liked you, Aunt Cassie did too which is very unusual, that old bat hates everybody," Andromeda said as they took a seat outside of the restaurant.
"She did seem rather interested in you when you two left," Sirius said as the waitress came by and batted her eyes at Sirius.
"Mr Black so nice to see you again," the waitress said in a flirty tone.
"You too Christy, I'll have the usual," Sirius said smiling charmingly and making the woman blush.
The waitress turned to Harry and asked, " what can I get for you, sir?"
"I want the BLT," Bellatrix said her eyes narrowing at the waitress who quickly scribbled it down.
"The French dip and two Cokes please," Harry said politely.
"I'll have the French dip and a Coke as well," Andromeda spoke up.
After that, the waitress quickly wrote down Andy's order and dashed away.
"I think she has a thing for me," Sirius said smugly.
"You know she works for tips," Harry pointed out.
"Aren't you seeing Amelia Bones?" Bellatrix asked looking over Sirius' shoulder.
"Yeah, why?" Sirius asked curiously.
"Because she would wring your neck if she caught you flirting around with our waitress," Andromeda answered.
Before Sirius could reply their food arrived, the waitress seemed a lot more reserved now, though that might have something to do with the way Bellatrix was eying her.
"Bella be nice," Harry said after the waitress scurried away.
"Bella is being nice," Bellatrix said as she took a bite of her sandwich.
"She's not lying," Andromeda said as she dipped her sandwich in au jus.
"So now that the contract is signed have you thought of where you're having your wedding?" Andromeda asked.
"No we're still trying to find somewhere warm enough to have an outdoor wedding," Harry said.
"There is always the vacation home in France," Andromeda pointed out.
Harry tuned out the conversation and enjoyed his sandwich, he still couldn't believe he would be getting married in less than two months, his trip through time was turning out to be the best thing to ever happen to him.
