We've finally hit ten thousand subscriptions~

A new author, a xianxia novel, slow-burn, no system, four-character title, one-round test run, started with only 400 first-day subs. After writing for a whole year and over two million words, I finally grinded my way up to 10K!

Tired? Yes.

But also incredibly happy.

I submitted this novel to the internal review multiple times and kept getting rejected. I was this close to giving up, thinking I should change the premise and start over from scratch.

But I was unwilling to let it go, so I figured I'd try one last time—and ride on a bit of "good luck." I submitted to Good Luck... and, well, it actually worked. The submission passed. 😆

If it hadn't, I'd probably be writing some other story right now.

And once I changed genres, who knows if I'd ever be able to write this book, this story, and the characters I love again, exactly as I envisioned it…

1. The MC's Age

People often comment:

"In the real world, a teenager should be doing XYZ! Why is the MC like this?"

And I get it. I really do.

But this is a xianxia cultivation world, not modern Earth.

In this world, as the cultivation world evolved, mortals without spiritual roots were gradually weeded out.

Casual cultivators from the old Qi Refining class slid down to become society's bottom rung.

Nowadays, most cultivators have spiritual roots from birth.

In this sense, the MC is already a "longevity species," so if you were to compare his age to a real-world teenager, you'd have to scale it down proportionally.

(Some rogue cultivators around the MC's age are bigger because, with no resources or cultivation paths, they started body cultivation early and did physical labor to support their families.)

2. The Reincarnation Setting

This one's a little complex.

To put it simply:

The MC is essentially a native of this world—he has real parents, real bloodline.
