Chapter 787: Journey to Luojia Mountain (Part 2)
"Luo Chen, Luojia Mountain is indeed a treasure land, but the dangers there are beyond the imagination of ordinary people. Have you really decided?" Qing Shuang asked with concern.
Luo Chen nodded, his eyes shining with determination: "Qing Shuang, I understand your concern, but as an Artifact Refiner, I must constantly challenge myself and seek better materials. Although Luojia Mountain is dangerous, as long as we prepare thoroughly and act cautiously, I believe we can return safely."
Qing Shuang sighed, she knew that once Luo Chen made a decision, he rarely changed his mind.
She could only choose to support him and face the possible dangers together.
"Alright, since you've made up your mind, I'll accompany you. Two people are always safer than one." Qing Shuang said firmly.
Luo Chen gratefully glanced at Qing Shuang, knowing that with her by his side, no matter what difficulties they encountered, he would not be alone.
"Thank you, Qing Shuang, with your companionship, I feel more confident." Luo Chen said with a smile.
The two began preparing for the journey to Luojia Mountain.
They collected various tools and Magic Artifacts that might be used, and specially prepared some Elixirs and talismans for emergencies.
Once everything was ready, they set off on their journey to Luojia Mountain.
Luojia Mountain lies at the edge of the Cultivation Realm, steep and shrouded in clouds and mist, rumored to be home to various strange creatures and powerful Guardian Beasts.
Luo Chen and Qing Shuang moved cautiously along the way, avoiding many potential dangers.
"Luo Chen, it seems there's a cave up ahead. Let's go in and take a look, maybe we can find some refining materials." Qing Shuang suggested, pointing to the cave ahead.
Luo Chen nodded, and they carefully entered the cave.
The inside of the cave was spacious and deep, with some luminous minerals embedded in the walls, illuminating the path ahead.
"Watch your step, something seems off here." Luo Chen advised, sensing an unusual presence.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake, and the minerals on the cave walls fell as a giant creature leaped down from the shadows of the cave's roof.
It was a winged beast, spewing flames from its mouth.
"It's the Firewing Beast! Luo Chen, be careful of its flames!" Qing Shuang shouted in warning.
Luo Chen swiftly drew his Longsword, standing back-to-back with Qing Shuang, ready to face this sudden adversary.
The Firewing Beast's flames came like a storm, but with their tacit cooperation, Luo Chen and Qing Shuang dodged the flames while seeking an opportunity to counterattack.
"Qing Shuang, use the Ice Sealing Talisman!" Luo Chen shouted.
Qing Shuang immediately took out a talisman from her bosom, chanting a spell as she tossed it at the Firewing Beast.
The talisman transformed into frost in the air, temporarily sealing the beast's flames.
Luo Chen seized the opportunity, his Longsword slicing out a fierce Sword Light, aiming directly at the beast's vitals.
With its flames sealed, the Firewing Beast could only dodge clumsily.
After an intense battle, Luo Chen and Qing Shuang together finally defeated the Firewing Beast.
The beast collapsed to the ground with a wail before dissipating into a wisp of smoke.
"Luo Chen, are you okay?" Qing Shuang asked with concern.
Luo Chen wiped the sweat from his forehead and smiled: "I'm fine, thanks to your Ice Sealing Talisman."
They knew that the victory hadn't come easy, but it strengthened their resolve to continue onward.
Inside the cave, they found some precious refining materials, including a mineral called "Fire Cloud Stone," which could enhance the fire attribute power of Magic Artifacts.
"Luo Chen, with these Fire Cloud Stones, we can craft more powerful fire-attribute Magic Artifacts." Qing Shuang said excitedly.
Luo Chen nodded, already imagining how he would use these materials to craft new Magic Artifacts.
"Yes, Qing Shuang, let's keep moving. Luojia Mountain has more secrets waiting for us to uncover."
Luo Chen and Qing Shuang continued deeper into Luojia Mountain, knowing that the dangers would increase the further they went, but equally, the refining materials they could find would be more precious.
They carefully avoided a few areas that might harbor danger, eventually arriving at a valley bathed in strange light.
"Luo Chen, look over there, something seems to be flickering in that light." Qing Shuang pointed to the depths of the valley.
Following her gaze, Luo Chen saw an area in the valley shrouded in iridescent light, where some mysterious energy seemed to flow.
"Let's be cautious; there might be unknown dangers lurking in that light." Luo Chen reminded her.
They slowly approached, discovering that the light came from a massive Crystal Stone, surrounded by some peculiar plants emitting a faint fragrance.
"That's... Iron Spirit Grass!" Qing Shuang exclaimed in surprise, recognizing one of the extremely rare refining materials.
Luo Chen recognized it too; Iron Spirit Grass is a valuable plant that greatly enhances the spirituality of Magic Artifacts, a priceless treasure for an Artifact Refiner.
"We need to find a way to collect some Iron Spirit Grass." Luo Chen said.
However, just as they were about to approach, the Crystal Stone emitted a low hum, and the surrounding light became even more dazzling.
"Be careful, this Crystal Stone seems to have life!" Qing Shuang warned cautiously.
Suddenly, the Crystal Stone shot out several beams of light, enveloping Luo Chen and Qing Shuang.
They felt a powerful force pulling them, causing their bodies to involuntarily move toward the Crystal Stone.
"Luo Chen, what should we do?" Qing Shuang asked nervously.
"Stay calm and don't resist this force; let's see what happens first." Luo Chen replied calmly.
As they gradually approached the Crystal Stone, the beams of light softened, eventually enveloping them in a glowing sphere.
Inside, the light sphere was warm and comfortable, and Luo Chen and Qing Shuang felt an unprecedented tranquility.
"This is..." Luo Chen was astonished to find the Spiritual Energy density inside the sphere was extremely high, even directly absorbable by the body.
"Luo Chen, this Crystal Stone seems to be helping us enhance our cultivation!" Qing Shuang said with joy.
They ceased resisting and began absorbing the surrounding Spiritual Energy, unconsciously advancing their cultivation.
Inside the light sphere, time seemed to lose its meaning. When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves back in the valley, the Crystal Stone now serene.
"We have truly advanced." Luo Chen remarked, feeling the abundant Spiritual Energy within him.
"Yes, it's a miracle." Qing Shuang also felt immense excitement.
They collected some Iron Spirit Grass, preparing to leave the valley.
However, as they were about to depart, footsteps echoed from the other end of the valley.
"Someone's coming." Luo Chen said cautiously.
They quickly hid, observing the newcomers.
A group of people dressed like cultivators appeared at the valley entrance, seeming to search for something.
"Looks like we're not the only ones who know the secret here." Qing Shuang whispered softly.
Luo Chen and Qing Shuang held their breath, quietly watching the cultivators.
They were numerous, clearly an organized group, each exuding a formidable Spiritual Power.
"They don't look like ordinary cultivators," Qing Shuang noted in a low voice, "we need to be careful."
Luo Chen nodded, understanding Qing Shuang's concern.
Though their cultivation had advanced with the Crystal Stone's help, they still needed to be cautious when facing such a group.
"Let's not act rashly and see what they're up to." Luo Chen whispered in response.
The cultivators searched the valley, appearing to look for something specific.
One of them suddenly stopped, eyeing the spot where Luo Chen and Qing Shuang had previously discovered Iron Spirit Grass.
"There's evidence of Iron Spirit Grass here!" the cultivator shouted loudly.
The others immediately gathered around, beginning to dig into the soil.
Luo Chen and Qing Shuang exchanged glances, knowing that Iron Spirit Grass was extremely important to them and couldn't be given up easily.
