Chapter 775: Moonlight Grass
Luo Chen pushed the door open and entered, only to see Xuan Ji Zi sitting in front of an ancient desk, holding an Ancient Tome.
"Luo Chen, you're back." Xuan Ji Zi raised his head, a flash of surprise in his eyes.
Luo Chen respectfully bowed, "Yes, Elder Xuan Ji Zi, I'm back, the threat of the Master of Netherworld Valley has been eliminated by us."
Xuan Ji Zi smiled with relief, "Good, good! You have done very well, accomplishing this mission so excellently, I thank you on behalf of the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion."
Luo Chen humbly shook his head, "It was my duty, Elder Xuan Ji Zi."
Xuan Ji Zi stood up, walked up to Luo Chen, and patted his shoulder, "Luo Chen, not only did you complete the mission, but you've also gained the trust and friendship of the Red Willow Sect, which will greatly benefit your cultivation path in the future."
Luo Chen smiled slightly, "Thank you for your guidance, Elder."
Xuan Ji Zi nodded, then looked at Hong Ling and Qing Shuang, "I must say these two ladies also deserve credit."
Hong Ling and Qing Shuang quickly paid their respects, saying they did not dare accept such praise.
"You three are the pride of our Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion," Xuan Ji Zi continued, "Luo Chen, what are your plans next?"
Luo Chen pondered for a moment, then said, "I want to continue my cultivation, explore more Secret Realms, and enhance my strength."
Xuan Ji Zi nodded, "Very well, our Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion will fully support your decision, but you must remember, the path of cultivation is long and perilous, be careful."
Luo Chen bowed again, "Thank you for the reminder, Elder, I will keep it in mind."
Xuan Ji Zi picked up a Jade Slip from the desk and handed it to Luo Chen, "This is the Secret Realm map from the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion, it might be of some help to you."
Luo Chen accepted the Jade Slip with gratitude, "Thank you, Elder."
Xuan Ji Zi smiled and nodded, "Go now, Luo Chen, may you reach higher realms soon."
Luo Chen left the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion with Hong Ling and Qing Shuang, standing at the peak of the mountain, gazing at the sea of clouds in the distance.
"Brother Luo Chen, where are we going next?" Qing Shuang asked.
Meanwhile, Hong Ling had already turned around and silently departed alone.
Luo Chen looked at the Jade Slip in his hand, a determined light flashing in his eyes, "We are going to explore Secret Realms and continue our cultivation path, but before that, I plan to visit the auction in the workshop to see if there's anything valuable for self-defense."
Luo Chen and Qing Shuang set off towards the workshop.
They passed through bustling streets, surrounded by a dazzling array of shops and hawker's cries.
Luo Chen's gaze wandered among the shops, searching for treasures that might benefit their cultivation.
"Brother Luo Chen, look at this, doesn't it suit us perfectly?" Qing Shuang pointed to a piece of armor in a shop, adorned with some peculiar gemstones, emitting a faint glow.
Luo Chen followed Qing Shuang's finger, seeing the extraordinary armor with a mysterious power flowing through it.
He nodded and stepped into the shop.
The shop owner, a middle-aged man with a kind smile, warmly greeted Luo Chen and Qing Shuang as they entered.
"Esteemed guests, are you interested in this armor? This is a rare Treasure in our workshop, named 'Star Armor', woven with Star Iron and Celestial Silkworm threads, not only lightweight but also extremely strong in defense," the shop owner enthusiastically introduced.
Luo Chen examined it carefully, and indeed, the craftsmanship of the Star Armor was exquisite, every thread seemingly infused with Star Force.
He turned to Qing Shuang and asked, "What do you think?"
Qing Shuang's eyes showed a hint of fondness, but she shook her head, "Brother Luo Chen, let's see if there are any more necessary items first."
Luo Chen understood Qing Shuang's concerns; although they had some savings, they couldn't spend recklessly.
He thanked the shop owner and continued searching the workshop with Qing Shuang.
They visited several more shops, and Luo Chen's eyes finally rested on a shop selling Spirit Grass.
The shop was full of various odd flowers and herbs, among which one herb with a faint glow caught his attention.
"Shopkeeper, what is this Spirit Grass?" Luo Chen pointed to the herb and asked.
The shopkeeper came over and replied with a smile, "Guest, you have a keen eye, this is 'Moonlight Grass', a Spirit Grass that absorbs the essence of moonlight at night, an invaluable aid for cultivators practicing moon-based Cultivation Techniques."
Luo Chen nodded, the Moonlight Grass was indeed useful, as a part of his Cultivation Technique involved cultivating with Moonlight Power.
He inquired about the price, and though it wasn't cheap, it was still within an acceptable range.
Thus, he decided to purchase the Moonlight Grass.
Just as he was about to take out the Spirit Stones, a somewhat abrupt voice suddenly echoed: "Wait, this Moonlight Grass has caught my eye as well; I wonder if this cultivator could give it to me?"
Luo Chen turned around to see a young man dressed in luxurious clothes standing behind him, with an air of arrogance between his brows.
Behind the young man were several attendants, each with an extraordinary bearing.
"Esteemed sir, I have already decided to buy this Moonlight Grass." Luo Chen replied calmly, not wanting to start a conflict over a single piece of Spirit Grass, but unwilling to easily give up something beneficial for his cultivation.
The young man sneered slightly, "Oh? Is that so? However, the price I'm offering might be hard for you to match. I'm willing to pay double for this Moonlight Grass, what do you say?"
