Imagination Overdrive: If I Think It, It Becomes Real

Chapter 4: Magic Academy? More Like Commoner Humiliation Simulator

Quick Recap:

1. I died.

2. I was reincarnated.

3. Now I'm in a magic academy because I apparently saved the headmaster from some thugs (which I have zero memory of).

So here I was, standing at the front of the classroom, facing a bunch of noble brats who looked at me like I had just rolled in from the local garbage dump.

Standing next to me was an old wise man—the kind that every fantasy setting seems contractually obligated to have. Long beard, wrinkled face, sagely aura. Probably had a tragic backstory.

He cleared his throat. "Class, we have a new student joining us today. This is Leon Oseven." He pointed at me like I was some rare exhibit in a zoo.

The room immediately buzzed with whispers.

"Oseven? Have you heard that name before?"

"A commoner?"

"What is he even doing here?"

"This has to be a mistake."

I sighed. "Well, since I'm a commoner and by the setting's logic, all of you are gonna hate me anyway, just do it to my face and get it over with."

The class went dead silent. Then, an explosion of gasps.

At the front, I spotted Amilya—yeah, the same blonde noble princess from earlier—biting her fingers, probably plotting how to make my life miserable. She had that 'this peasant dares to breathe my air' look on her face.

The old wise fucker sighed, clearly too tired for my existence. "Silence. Leon, please take your seat."

So, I did what any self-respecting protagonist would do—I took the last seat in the back. Best place to judge everyone while looking effortlessly cool.

Magic Class (AKA Public Humiliation Hour)

For the next hour, the instructor droned on about mana control, magic circuits, stamina reserves, and other nonsense. I only caught about 10% of it. Probably important, but let's be honest—I wasn't paying attention.

Then, we got to the practical part.

All the noble kids lined up to show off their magic.

One guy shot a blast of fire. Another made a water whip. Some girl summoned vines from the ground. And, of course, one dude had to summon floating swords just to flex.

Meanwhile, I stood there. Completely still. Like a stone block in Minecraft.

Naturally, that didn't go unnoticed.

The instructor, a middle-aged guy with the permanent expression of someone who hated their job, strolled over.

"Leon, why aren't you testing your abilities?"

"Oh, that's easy," I said. "Because I don't have any."

Silence. Then, chuckles.

The instructor shook his head. "You may have saved the headmaster's life, but you're still a commoner. Can't expect much."

"Yeah? Well, put your expectations up your ass."

The instructor's face twitched. "How dare you—"

BOOM.

A loud explosion. Screams. Chaos.

Oh, look at that. A giant fire-and-stone monster had just appeared out of nowhere and was now attacking the students.

I sighed. "Ah, yes. Isekai Rule #Whatever: If you're in an academy, expect a monster attack."

Half the class ran for their lives. The other half tried (and failed) to fight back.

Amilya, being the proud, overconfident princess she was, immediately started blasting it with fire magic.

I walked up to her, hands in my pockets. "Hey, genius. Ever heard of common sense? You can't stop fire with fire."

She shot me a glare. "You—! At least I'm doing something instead of standing there like an idiot!"

I shrugged. "Fair."

Then the monster turned in our direction. Amilya's confident expression? Gone. Now she looked like she wanted to shit herself.

I sighed. "Welp. Guess I should do something."

I looked around. Spotted a sword lying on the ground. Picked it up.

"They say my sword skills are good. Let's test that theory."

The monster swung at me with its massive flaming fist. I dodged under it effortlessly.

Alright, enough playing around. Time to end this.

I raised the sword. "I am the storm that is approaching—" I coughed. "Ahem. Never mind."

Then, in a blink, I slashed a thousand times in an instant.

I sheathed the sword.

The monster froze. Cracked. Shattered into a thousand tiny pieces. The flames died out.

I ran a hand through my hair and smirked. "Well, whoever's reading this, don't try this in real life. You're not in a story, and you'll definitely die."

Silence.

I turned. Every single noble kid had their jaw on the floor.

Amilya? She was sitting on the ground, looking like she just saw a god descend from the heavens.

I looked up. For some goddamn reason, there were now clouds in the sky.

Later That Night – My Dorm Room

Night fell way too fast, but whatever. I was alone in my dorm, lying on my bed.

"Well, I expected a twink roommate or something."

I turned onto my side. "The author is either cooking or writing absolute garbage."

I yawned. "Whatever. Not like I care anyway."
