Chapter 26: 26. I’m Not Afraid
"Yes."
Dylan looked at Anna carefully and then added, "If you're afraid, you can tell me. I'll let Kitty accompany you."
"Meow~." Hearing his name, Kitty raised his head and looked at Anna.
Anna smiled and shook her head. "I'm not afraid."
She was more surprised.
Surprised to see that Jake could be so stupid and shameless. In the past, she would have never thought that Jake would be so stupid that he would think that she would still treat him well after he treated her like that.
Did he think that she was such a saint?
Anna wanted to laugh but felt a bit sad inside her heart. Because she knew that Jake never actually paid much attention to her and taken her presence for granted.
Will he realize what he had lost?
But even if he did realize it, Anna will never go back to him.
Not in this life and not in the next life.
He had already crossed her bottom line and Anna didn't have any intention to stay with such a man.
He could cross her bottom line once, can he do it again?
No one could say for sure and Anna didn't want to take this bet.
He's not worth it.
"I'll install the door first then. Do you need my help to carry the door out?" Mark asked Anna. If it was Dylan, he knew that this man was relatively strong and carrying that door out should be relatively easy.
"I should be able to bring it out." Anna felt ashamed when she thought about her strength.
She's indeed the real weak chicken among them.
QAQ.
Lucy laughed when she saw Anna's loveless expression. "Come on. If you can't, I'll help you."
"Um."
…
Drap! Drap! Drap!
At this time, Jake was walking down with a gloomy expression.
Even though he had seen Anna's proud expression in the party, he was still stuck with the impression of Anna in the past where she would listen to his words and also very close to him. Aside from some things that she would not do because of her principle, the others were easy to say.
She felt more like his follower than his lover, making him feel bored.
But in the past few days, Jake felt that he was seeing a completely different Anna.
Anna who didn't listen to him.
Anna who's still proud and strong.
Anna who's very stubborn and attractive.
But this current Anna no longer have him in her eyes, which made Jake very irritable.
Even if he told himself that he already has Betty and this Anna was someone who was very annoying and didn't have anything to do with him, he couldn't help but think about the days when she was still by his side.
He was comparing the present with the past.
In his sub consciousness, Anna is his. She is someone who loved him greatly and will not forget about him.
This was why he felt irritable.
"She might be playing hard to get, Brother." John was gloomy and patted Jake's shoulder. "When you get her back, teach her a lesson."
He was the same as Jake as he didn't think that Anna would be willing to let Jake go so easily. After all, the impression of Anna in the past was someone who was following them.
Would someone like that so easily turn her head?
It was very unlikely.
And John was furious because Anna didn't give him any face at all. He hoped that the flood was over because this way, he would be able to teach her a lesson. His family background was not bad and it was also his confidence.
"Uhm." Jake agreed on the surface but he was frowning.
He didn't really want to get back with Anna.
Even if she started to look a bit more attractive, but he didn't want someone who have nothing like Anna. Besides, Betty is prettier and had great figure.
Beside him, Betty pursed her lips and pulled Jake's hand. She asked aggrievedly, "Do you not want me anymore?"
