I'm Really Not A Nen Exorcist (HxH Fanfic)

Chapter 415: Chapter 415 The Next Target Is...

To honor the companions who died in the Snow Palace...

Seven days after the Museum Exchange Conference, the Phantom Troupe began hunting down the guests who participated in the Museum Exchange Conference.

Erin was one of the guests, and naturally became the target of the Phantom Troupe.

The one assigned to kill her was Franklin.

Thus, on this rainy street, both Erin and her bodyguard, Harvey, met gruesome deaths under Franklin's barrage of Nen Bullets.

In addition to them, hundreds of innocent bystanders were caught up in the carnage.

After killing Erin, Franklin retracted his Nen and turned to leave.

There are more than two hundred guests participating in the Museum Exchange Conference, now scattered all over the world.

It is not realistic to expect that all their lives could be taken quickly to honor their fallen companions.

But the Phantom Troupe will do their best to accomplish this.

Kill as many as possible!

Unconcerned with the impact or the consequences!

They were determined to cross off one name after another from the guest list.

Franklin's figure soon vanished into the rain, leaving behind a bloodstained street that even the rain couldn't wash clean.

Meanwhile…

The scattered spiders were like the grim reapers, reaping the lives of the guests of the Museum Exchange Conference in various locations.

Wherever they went, lives were lost.

This is all to play a requiem that will allow their fallen companions to rest in peace.

To do this, there is no need to hold back. They would only follow the desires of their hearts and release all the pent-up emotions.

Kill, and kill again!

Bodyguards, Mafia Family's members… it didn't matter.

Anyone who dared to stop them from composing their Requiem in blood would face an unrelenting river of slaughter.

Koko, the organizer of the Museum Exchange Conference, still remained unaware that the Phantom Troupe was now hunting the guests from the event a week prior.

If she knew, she would likely be terrified.

Not only because she was the organizer of the Museum Exchange Conference, but also because she was the one who had commissioned Silva from the Zoldyck Family to assassinate the members of the Phantom Troupe.

Though Koko was still in the dark about the ongoing massacre, perhaps she would one day be grateful that the Phantom Troupe hadn't singled her out as a target for their blood-soaked Requiem.

However, the Phantom Troupe's actions were undoubtedly adding fuel to the flames engulfing the Hex Family.

That night.

There was heavy rain in Franklin's place, but here, the bright moon hung high in the sky.

The silver frost-like moonlight bathed a towering, half-constructed building.

Tap, tap, tap-

Within the eerie, wind-swept building, hurried footsteps echoed through the cold, desolate atmosphere.

In the next moment…

The footsteps abruptly ceased.

As the sound of footsteps vanished, the exposed, wind-blown floor, supported by columns, suddenly fell silent, so quiet that even the drop of a pin could be heard.

Behind one of the support pillars, Eriselle tightly pressed himself against the cold concrete, his eyes trembling slightly as if he were hiding from some unseen danger.

'There is absolutely no chance of winning...'

Eriselle held his breath and his mind was searching for a way to escape.

The reason he found himself in this half-finished high-rise was because he had accepted a commission to exorcise some malevolent spirits.

Though they were called spirits, in reality, they were only a few strands of Post-Mortem Nen, which at least strong enough to affect the physical world.

However, in front of his [Appetite of Anorexic], these few strands of Post-Mortem Nen were nothing more than snacks that he could effortlessly consume.

In other words, Eriselle only needs to come here once to easily earn the high commission given by the client.

However--

After Eriselle digested the Post-Mortem Nen lingering in the high-rise building, a shadow suddenly appeared before him.

"Nen Exorcism Ability... quite rare."

That's what the figure said to him at that time.

Eriselle's first reaction was to turn around and run away.

Because-

The person who had appeared before him was none other than Chrollo, the leader of Phantom Troupe, and he made no secret of his ill intentions towards him.

Faced with such situation, only a fool would choose to stay where he is.

Tap, tap, tap…

Suddenly, there were slight footsteps in the quiet floor.

With his back against a pillar, Eriselle could feel his chest rising and falling rapidly, and he tried his best not to make any sound in this desperate situation.

However, no matter how well he hid himself, in this quiet environment where there was not even the sound of wind, the pounding of his heart seemed unbearably loud.

Chrollo, who is an expert in erasing his killing intent, is naturally also outstanding at tracking his enemies.

He pinpointed Eriselle's hiding place in no time.

Swhish-

Chrollo suddenly appeared ten meters away from Eriselle, then raised his hand and conjured Bandit's Secret.

"Maybe I won't need this, but it's better to be prepared."

Facing Eriselle's horrified gaze, Chrollo spoke as if talking to himself.

Initially, he had intended to cross Eriselle's name off the list.

But upon seeing Eriselle's Nen Exorcism Ability, Chrollo changed his mind.

After all, it is a very rare Nen Exorcism Ability, and it is worth it for him to plunder it.

"When you use your ability, your mouth shrinks, and you transfer the Nen into your body in the same way as you eat. So, it seems that your Nen Exorcism Ability is based on the concept of digestion."

Chrollo calmly analyzed as he held the Bandit's Secret in his hand, while Eriselle trembled in fear, realizing that escape is impossible.

Five minutes later-

Chrollo walked out of the half-built skyscraper alone, holding the phone he had taken from Eriselle. He then dialed an emergency number.

About half an hour later, an ambulance came and stopped at the construction site.

Then about another hour passed.

Roughly an hour after that, the city's central hospital admitted a thin man, suspected of suffering from anorexia, who had fallen into a vegetative state for unknown reasons.

Strangely, someone had already paid twenty years' worth of high-cost nursing fees for this thin man.

Late at night, in a quiet park-

Chrollo strolled along the path by the artificial lake and then casually tossed Eriselle's phone into the water.

He thought he had plundered someone with a good ability, but he didn't know that Eriselle, who had become a vegetable, actually had some connection to Moses.

If he had known-

Perhaps he would have interrogated Eriselle for any information about Moses before taking his ability.

"The next target is..."

Chrollo's whisper was carried away by the night breeze.

.....

"The next target is..."

Moses stood with his back to the floor-to-ceiling windows of the hotel suite, looking at Menchi and Shizuku, who were seated on the sofa.

Menchi and Shizuku were also looking at Moses, waiting for his next words.

"The Erimo Bandit Group."

Facing the two girls' calm or curious gazes, Moses slowly stated the next hunting target.

The most active A-Class wanted criminals in recent times are none other than the Erimo Bandit Group.

This is why Moses chose the Erimo Bandit Group.

Hearing Moses mention the Erimo Bandit Group as his next target, Menchi and Shizuku looked at each other.

They were complete amateurs in this regard and knew nothing about the Erimo Bandit Group.

"Master, shouldn't we deal with the crown first?"

Menchi suddenly reminded.

"Ah, you're right."

Moses nodded.

'Before hunting the next target, we indeed need to deal with the crown that had been left with Netero.'

'Speaking of which...'

'Chairman Netero shouldn't be annoyed to death, right?
