Chapter 89: I'm the Kind of Person Who Can't Stand Being Slandered

"The duties of the Supreme Guardian make it difficult for me to get away. It's a pity I couldn't be there in person. I heard from the guards and Pela that it was a form of performance never before seen in Belobog."

Praise from the nation's supreme leader brought smug, self-satisfied expressions to the faces of Stelle and March 7th. Dan Heng sighed inwardly and said with a straight face, "You flatter us. May I ask why the Supreme Guardian has summoned us?"

Dan Heng was about to exchange a few more pleasantries with Cocolia, but a hand stopped him.

Caelus skipped the formalities entirely and said bluntly, "We're here for the Stellaron."

"The Stellaron?"

A cold glint flashed in Cocolia's narrowed eyes, yet her expression was one of confusion, as if waiting for them to explain further.

Though, no matter what Caelus said next, she wouldn't care. After this conversation was over, she would brand these people as subversive infiltrators and mobilize the army to arrest them.

"That's right, the Stellaron is..." Caelus took Stelle's small, soft hand and stepped forward, as if to explain.

Stelle blinked her beautiful eyes, not because of Caelus's action, but because of a strange sense of déjà vu. It felt as if what was about to happen had happened before. She instinctively wanted to pull her hand back but felt a poke on her side.

It was a shared feeling.

One of Caelus's hands was in his coat pocket, his finger poking his own waist. It was just a random touch, but the rapport of being essentially 'one person' made Stelle seem to understand something. She gave up on pulling her hand back and let Caelus lead her.

Although, in the next second, Stelle regretted it.

"This!"

Caelus reached out, wrapped an arm around Stelle, used himself as an axis to spin her a few times, and then forcefully threw the half-understanding Stelle towards the stunned Cocolia.

"I choose you, Stellaron Spirit, Sound-Sound Fruit Form! Use Malicious Roar!"

At the same time, Caelus pulled a yo-yo from his pocket and threw it straight at Cocolia. The yo-yo glowed, and the orange light coalesced into the shape of flames.

"Caelus's Breath!"

"CAELUS!" Stelle roared, realizing where the déjà vu came from. Back at the Herta Space Station, facing the turtle monster, Caelus had thrown her as a weapon in the exact same way.

Roaring was one thing, cursing another, but Stelle still followed their rapport, turning her left hand into a trumpet and opening her mouth:

"QUACK—!"

A non-human roar, possessing an extremely powerful impact, spread out in invisible ripples, pinning everything around it in place.

The disposable items from the system shop came with instructions and experience. After all, with only a few hours of use, it couldn't expect you to learn from scratch. Using the Gum-Gum Fruit as a reference, the included experience value allowed Caelus to throw out Luffy's Gear Third at most.

The sudden turn of events caught Cocolia completely off guard.

Her body was bound by the invisible sound waves, unable to move. Her head was buzzing, and she was in a state of bewilderment, her mind briefly blank.

Seeing this, Dan Heng's brow twitched, but he still took out his Cloud-Piercer spear and, aiming for Cocolia's right shoulder, threw it with all his might. The long spear tore through the air with a sharp whistle.

The flames formed from the orange glow spread their wings, crashing towards Cocolia like an eagle striking from the sky.

"Huh? Eh!"

Only March 7th was bewildered, flustered and at a loss. How did they suddenly start fighting without even a heads-up?

Her mouth slightly agape, March 7th stared blankly at the scene, as if seeing a future where the Supreme Guardian was pierced through the shoulder by the Cloud-Piercer and run through by the orange flaming light.

And in the next second.

BOOM!

A surge of powerful energy erupted from Cocolia, sending the Cloud-Piercer flying. Like a tidal wave, it engulfed the flaming light, knocking Stelle and Caelus, who were closest to her, backward.

BANG!

Stelle slammed her hands together, which had turned into barbecue tongs, using the sound waves to block the tsunami-like energy impact. Caelus used Stelle as a shield.

A tremor went through both of their hearts. They faintly heard overlapping whispers—it was the resonance between the Stellaron and a Stellaron spirit. They also saw some images of Cocolia's past interactions with the Stellaron.

[Only the Stellaron can rewrite everything.]

"The Stellaron!"

Dan Heng's pupils contracted for a moment. He immediately recognized the nature of this energy.

The night before the performance, he had gone to Caelus to discuss their strategy.

"Anyway, we can't escape being wanted criminals. And I'm the kind of person who can't stand being slandered and framed. So, let's just assassinate the Supreme Guardian directly!"

Dan Heng was completely shocked!

You can't stand a false accusation, so you'll feel at ease by making it true? What kind of genius logic is that!

This approach was indeed a bit extreme. But after hearing Caelus's detailed explanation, Dan Heng was actually a little tempted.

This was indeed one of the most direct ways to test the depth of the Supreme Guardian's relationship with the Stellaron.

Then, Caelus had Seele take out the Black Abyss and White Flower, stating that if they accidentally hurt her, it could be 100% healed. Dan Heng's worries were dispelled, and he nodded in agreement.

They didn't tell March 7th about the plan to assassinate the Supreme Guardian. After all, little March was a terrible liar. With the thought of assassinating the Supreme Guardian in her mind, she would definitely act abnormally when facing Cocolia. They might not even be able to finish the band performance smoothly.

Dan Heng remained silent.

Caelus's unorthodox method was indeed effective. But he hadn't expected Cocolia's connection with the Stellaron to be so deep!

In this burst of Stellaron energy, Cocolia's body was gradually eroded by frost, beginning to show signs of transformation. She turned an icy blue and was covered in ice crystals. The temperature in the room dropped rapidly because of it.

"You!"

The Stellaron's energy allowed Cocolia to break free from the control skill Stelle had used with the Sound-Sound Fruit, and she recovered from her daze.

"How dare you!"

Her face turned grim, her high chest heaving violently. Her anger was like the strongest blizzard, about to freeze everything in the world.

The glass windows of the administrative hall shattered with a piercing shriek, and the bone-chillingly cold wind was like a blade scraping bone.

"As expected, the naturally evil Cocolia!"

In the Honkai universe, the law that Cocolia is the pot to blame for this world's woes was verified.

Caelus looked at Cocolia, whose half-body was covered in ice crystals, and continued to provoke her, "Yeah, we're coming for you, you old bat! You got a problem with that? If you got a problem, we can dance!"

As Caelus continued to attack, he was trying to enrage Cocolia, to skip a phase and make her directly evolve into her boss form. If the residents of Belobog saw this, it would save a lot of trouble!

Even the Silvermane Guards, seeing Cocolia in her monster form, could they remain loyal?

Amidst the howling wind, the clamor of guards and the sound of hurried footsteps came from outside the hall, pulling Cocolia back from her anger. Cocolia waved her hand, and a wave of cold surged, freezing the palace doors from the inside.

Her current transformed state absolutely could not be seen by anyone, or it would be very troublesome.

"Mother! What's happening? Seele!"

Bronya had been praying for the conversation to go smoothly. After all, she really didn't want to clash with her mother and her friends, especially Seele. But the sudden loud noise made Bronya's heart sink. She immediately rushed over with the guards on duty inside.

She pushed hard on the door, but it was as if it were locked from the inside; it wouldn't budge.

Inside the administrative hall, the cold wind and chill gradually disappeared. The abnormalities on Cocolia's body quickly subsided, and she returned to her normal state.

"So what if you know? Do you want to kill me? Then come on."

Cocolia sat in her office chair, looking down on them from above.

Hearing these words, plus the transformed state she had just shown, March 7th blinked her big eyes and immediately reacted, taking out her longbow to fight the boss.

But she was stopped by Caelus, who raised a hand. March 7th tilted her head in confusion towards Caelus, and following his gaze, she looked at the rapidly melting ice on the door.

"What's wrong, Caelus? The culprit has already confessed. Aren't we going to take care of her?"

Meeting little March's clear, big eyes, Caelus shrugged. "Can you one-shot her?"

"...No."

"Then let's endure for now, bide our time, and wait for a better opportunity."

"What does that mean?" the girl asked with a silly expression.

"It means—time to run!"

Caelus grabbed March 7th's hand and rushed towards the window. The main door and windows were surrounded by guards, and Bronya was there. Forcing their way through was definitely not an option. They had to take another route—jump out the window.

Seeing Caelus's action, Dan Heng immediately understood his intention and quickly followed. If the door opened and the Silvermane Guards saw the situation inside, they wouldn't be able to clear their names even if they jumped into the galaxy!

Wait a minute... it seemed they didn't need to clear their names. They were indeed assassinating the Supreme Guardian.

No one who becomes a Supreme Guardian is simple. With home-field advantage and her status, Cocolia wouldn't personally fight. Using the army against them was the best choice.

"Hey, hey, hey!"

Caelus pulled March 7th, with Dan Heng, Stelle, and Seele close behind, and they jumped directly from the floor dozens of meters high.

"Mother!"

The second after they jumped, the ice on the hall door completely disappeared, and Bronya and the weapon-wielding guards poured in.

"Go after them! And issue a wanted order! The outsiders are not guests! They are terrorists, attempting to subvert Belobog!"

Cocolia didn't just sit there. She took out a pistol from her desk and emptied the clip at their backs, as if fighting off assassins.

The Silvermane Guards were stunned for a moment, but their military discipline made them react quickly, and they began to carry out Cocolia's orders.

"How is this possible!?"

Bronya's face was full of disbelief. With Stelle and Caelus's beautiful mental state, how could they be assassins? Even if they were pretending, what about Seele? Seele could never be an assassin!

"The facts are right in front of you, Bronya. Are you going to harbor the criminals who tried to assassinate me?"

"I, I..."

"Hurry up and lead the team to pursue the criminals!"

"Yes." Bronya gritted her teeth and turned to leave.

She had to find Seele and everyone and ask them clearly!

.........

A fall of dozens of meters was nothing for them. Each showed their own special skills.

Caelus threw his yo-yo, wrapping it around the corner of a building and swinging like Spider-Man. March 7th condensed a shield of Six-Phased Ice around her body. Seele entered a quantum state. Dan Heng used his Cloud-Piercer to break his fall.

Only Stelle landed purely based on her physical constitution.

After landing safely, the group ignored the shouts of the guards and pedestrians and ducked into a random alley.

"Caelus, those tin cans are about to catch up. What do we do?"

March 7th looked back at the corner where shouts were already coming from and asked anxiously. She wasn't worried about their safety; it would be easy to deal with these ordinary soldiers in a fight. But they were all people deceived by Cocolia!

Caelus glanced around. His eyes suddenly caught a row of trash cans, one of which was a treasure chest. In such an urgent situation, there was obviously no time to open it. But the golden light from that chest was clearly not normal, far brighter than that of an ordinary trash can chest.

Stelle noticed it too. Her face lit up, and ignoring the fact that they were being hunted, she ran over and lifted the chest lid.

"What time is it for you to still..."

Before March 7th could finish her retort, she saw the situation inside the trash can and was stunned.

"Yo, isn't this a coincidence... family, we meet again."

The blue-haired youth hiding in the trash can's face darkened and changed several times, finally revealing an awkward yet ingratiating smile.

"Master Sampo! My dearest brother, I've missed you so much!"

Caelus responded with an even more enthusiastic smile.
