Chapter 81: 81 - Diarrhea Won't Save You Now

"Send the order: mobilize 700 ninjas and immediately pursue the evacuating civilians from the Land of Whirlpools." Once he made his decision, Genji gave the order without hesitation.

"Split off a unit of a hundred ninjas. They are to travel at top speed, ignoring fatigue, and clear traps along the route in advance to allow the main force to move swiftly. If there are small enemy ambushes along the way, just dispatch a detachment to eliminate them. The rest must not stop, keep moving forward. Once you catch up to the evacuating civilians, immediately attack them from different directions. Force the ninjas from Uzushio who are escorting them into a dilemma, cutting them off from the people they're protecting. Then quickly eliminate those ninjas, and plunder all wealth and supplies at the fastest speed. Bring everything back."

"Other than the ninjas assigned to transport the loot, the rest should continue the pursuit. Capture as many waves of fleeing people as possible. Fuguki, you'll lead the team personally." Genji directly appointed his trusted aide. "You understand what I mean. I grant you full authority to make decisions on the spot. There is only one principle: do everything possible to ensure Kiri gains the greatest benefit."

"Understood," A cruel smile appeared on Fuguki's face. This kind of mission was exactly what he enjoyed.

"Whew..." Taking a few steps back quietly, and seeing that Genji no longer paid him any attention, Suiten let out a slight sigh of relief.

But just as he was about to leave the command tent, Fuguki suddenly turned and looked at him, saying, "Suiten is very familiar with the terrain. I request that he accompany me."

Suiten's body suddenly trembled and he froze on the spot. After a while, coming to his senses, he waved his hands quickly. "No, no, no. You already have the map I drew. That's more than enough. It doesn't matter whether I go or not, really!"

"Go with Fuguki." Genji didn't want to waste any more time. As soon as the ninjas assembled, they had to depart, so he gave the order directly.

"No, I still have urgent matters to take care of, life and death kind of urgent!" Suiten quickly said.

"I've handled everything for you," Genji cut off any chance of refusal.

"But I've got diarrhea! Must've eaten something bad. I really can't hold it."

"Then soil your pants," Genji said, in an unquestionable tone. "That's an order!"

Suiten opened his mouth, wanting to say more, but the next second Fuguki violently dragged him out of the tent.

"Release me!" Suiten immediately shouted once they were outside.

"What goes around comes around, hahaha!" Fuguki laughed. "Back during the First Great Ninja War, I was only eight. But when you were in command, you didn't go easy on me. Now it's finally my turn, huh?"

"Be the bigger man and let the little stuff go." Suiten immediately caved. "Just let me stay in the camp."

"This Genji's order!" Fuguki said smugly, seeing Suiten squirm. "You want me to disobey?"

With that, he turned around and went off to help with the ninja headcount.

Suiten's face looked grim, but inside, he was overjoyed.

I was planning to stay in camp and gather intel on your follow-up supply landings, specific time and location. But since you won't let me, I guess I'll just have to send you to your death first.

Glancing naturally at Samehada strapped to Fuguki's back, he wore a bitter expression as he ran back to his tent.

"Where are you going?" Yumi asked after stepping out of the command tent. "You're not thinking of deserting, are you?"

"Even if I'm just going to pack some life-saving gear, you gotta stick your nose in?" Suiten didn't bother arguing further and quickly ran off.

But Yumi frowned. She had a strong feeling something was off with him ever since he returned. Though he had acted perfectly normal the whole time, to someone as familiar with him as her, there was an indescribable strangeness about him.

Where exactly was the problem?

Unable to figure it out, she immediately followed him and barged straight into his tent.

"What the hell do you want?" Suiten snapped angrily when he saw her enter so rudely.

"Uh…" Yumi froze, not because of what he said, but because that familiar feeling had suddenly returned. She finally realized where that earlier sense of strangeness had come from.

It was his attitude, at the deepest level.

The real Suiten had always harbored a deep, visceral disgust for her, inside and out. But ever since he returned, although his words and tone remained as rude as ever, the internal loathing felt faint. And a woman's intuition, at times, is exceptionally sharp.

Yet at this very moment, she clearly felt that deep, gut-level disgust again, ironically easing most of the doubts in her heart.

So he just hadn't bothered with me before because he was too focused on staying alive?

What she didn't know, however, was that everything just now had been a total accident. The Suiten standing before her had actually been preparing to activate a secret sealing technique to block out all sound and use a radio to contact Tsunade.

But her sudden intrusion disrupted him. He didn't get to hear Tsunade's voice in time, and the frustration that boiled up brought his inner disgust to the surface.

Once he calmed down, he instantly felt a chill down his spine.

Because he sensed the shift in Yumi's demeanor, and immediately understood why.

He had almost blown his cover.

If he really were exposed, he wouldn't be too worried, he could escape any time without much risk. But things would be troublesome for Tsunade.

This was the very first battle under her command. It had to go perfectly. If it didn't, everything they had planned could fall apart. Instead of boosting her prestige, this campaign might actually diminish it. And though lost reputation can eventually be reclaimed, it takes time, and opportunity.

But more importantly, it shouldn't be lost in the first place. And now, he had nearly been exposed… by this woman.

Was she part bloodhound? Able to sense things others couldn't?

Feeling Suiten's disgust toward her suddenly intensify, Yumi actually felt relieved.

Now that's the Suiten I know.

Suiten shot a disgusted glance at her and treated her as if she didn't exist. He bent down and pulled a box out from under the bed. When he opened it, it revealed a finely crafted set of form-fitting armor.

Then, treating her as pure air, Suiten started stripping off his clothes.

"You bastard…" Yumi cursed, seeing that he was about to take off his pants. Furious, she turned and stormed out of the tent, her face bright red with embarrassment and rage.

"Hahahahaha!"

Barely a few steps outside, she heard his loud, unrestrained laughter echoing from behind her. Her anger shot through the roof.

She swore, if this jerk weren't about to head out on a mission, and if he weren't in the middle of changing, she would have rushed back in and killed him on the spot.
