I’m a villain within the hero’s party

Chapter : Before Reading My Novel

Hi there! I'm a new author, so please forgive any grammar mistakes, unclear parts, or awkward sentences. I'm working hard to improve my writing, although I don't always have the luxury of time to rewrite everything but I'll try my best to met your expectation.

This story was inspired by smart anime characters like Ayanokouji, Johan Liebert, Senku Ishigami, and others. Written by a second rate author.

Writing is just a hobby for me, so please expect around 7 chapters per week.

I truly appreciate thoughtful reviews that can help me grow as a writer. I may delete comments that are only hateful and offer no helpful insights into how I can improve.

[This is a general introduction to the world building of La Magia. More details will be revealed at the later chapters]

Glossary of Terms:

Awakeners

Awakeners are people who unlock special powers through awakening, which can happen in different ways—such as through enlightenment, cultivation, rituals, or genetics.

There are three main paths of awakening:

1. Aura Core

An energy source inside the body that boosts strength, speed, and endurance.

Aura users are ranked in tiers, with Tier 5 being the highest.

Common examples: swordsmen, assassins, knights.

2. Mana Core

A magical energy source used for casting spells.

The peak level is the Eighth Magic Circle.

Common examples: mages, spellcasters.

3. Divine Core

A rare and powerful energy connected to the Four Gods.

Mostly found in priests, who use it for divine abilities.

Bonus Types of Awakeners

1. Magic Swordsman

Either a mage who uses a sword or a swordsman who channels magic instead of aura.

2. Martial Mage

A mage who uses mana to perform martial arts.

Unlike traditional martial artists who use Chi, Martial Mages rely on spell-fueled martial arts.

3. Dragons

Legendary beings who protect the balance of the world.

They possess both aura and mana cores and are the only wielders of the Heavenly Swordstyle.

Titles of Power After Awakening

Awakeners can further ascend through the Rites of the Four Gods, gaining special titles and abilities.

• Hero

A title blessed by the Gods, divided into classes and subclasses like knights, assassins, and mages.

Ascended Heroes receive extra powers based on their class.

• Villain

A cursed title granted by the Demon Lord.

Villains are rare and also have their own classes and subclasses.

• Superhero

Appears once every century.

Chosen by the Gods and five times stronger than a normal Hero.

• Supervillain

Also appears once every century.

A Villain who has ascended and is five times stronger than a regular Villain.

[Note: An awakener can ascend without receiving a title or assigned class, but they are generally weaker than a blessed Hero.]

Apocalypse

An Apocalypse begins when both a Superhero and Supervillain appear.

To match their power, monsters begin evolving, growing stronger through natural selection.

Massive dungeons emerge across the continent, each with Grandmaster-level difficulty.

Power scaling isn't merely based on blessings or raw strength. It also considers a mix of factors such as personal achievements, influence, social status, and combat ability—including performance in war, dungeons, and duels. Therefore, subjective.

The rankings are as follows:

1. Awakened

2. Advance

3. Elite

4. Ascended

5. Master

6. Grandmaster

7. Legendary
