I’M A MIST SHINOBI IN NARUTO

Chapter 15: CHAPTER 15

Puff!

A blade of compressed wind sliced through Yuto's skull, his body splitting apart like a severed log.

Asuma smirked. "I told you, you and that Terumi—"

BOOM!

Before he could finish, Yuto's corpse exploded, sending a torrent of water cascading across the battlefield.

"Water Clone?!"

Asuma's eyes narrowed as he quickly surveyed his surroundings.

"Asuma, above you!"

Kurenai's urgent warning snapped him to attention. His gaze shot upward just in time to see a massive water cannon plunging down from the sky.

BOOM!!

The ground shook violently as the impact carved out a crater several meters deep.

Fortunately, Asuma had dodged just in time. If he hadn't, he would've been reduced to a pulp.

Kurenai hurried over, her expression tense. "Asuma, let's fight him together. I can tell he's strong."

The raw power of that last attack alone was enough to make her wary—if it had landed, Asuma would've been gravely injured.

Asuma clenched his fists. "Don't worry, Kurenai. You should believe in my strength. I'm a man you can rely on!"

Despite his words, he knew the truth—Yuto was faster than he expected.

He needed more speed.

BZZZTTT—

A sharp hum filled the air as blue chakra flared around Asuma's body, enveloping him in a thin but deadly aura.

This was his Wind Release: Chakra Armor—a technique that doubled his speed, allowing him to move like a phantom.

Kurenai's eyes widened in admiration. "Amazing, Asuma…"

Yuto, however, scoffed. "Tch. What's so special about that?"

Seeing Kurenai's sparkling expression annoyed him.

Asuma was already irritating enough as a Konoha shinobi—but as a romantic rival, he was unbearable.

"Let's see how long you last."

Yuto inhaled deeply.

"Water Style: Ocean Blade!"

A hundred-meter-long water blade materialized in front of him, roaring forward with enough force to split the battlefield.

The earth beneath it crumbled like brittle stone.

Kurenai gasped. "How can a Water Style jutsu be this powerful?!"

But—

"Don't worry, Kurenai! I got this!"

Just as the blade of water was about to consume him, Asuma vanished.

FWIP!

Kurenai barely had time to blink. "He's so fast!"

Asuma reappeared behind Yuto, his Chakra Blades gleaming as he swung with full force—

Puff!

Yuto's head flew into the air.

Asuma exhaled, finally allowing himself a small smirk—

BOOM!

Water exploded once more, flooding the battlefield.

"Damn it! Another water clone?!"

Asuma cursed as a massive surge of water crashed down upon him like a tsunami.

WHOOSH!

Dark shapes slithered within the torrent.

"What the hell…?!"

Inside the churning waters, dozens of black, snake-like creatures wriggled toward Asuma.

"Electric eels?"

Yuto's golden eyes gleamed.

The eels pulsed with electricity, their bodies flickering with deadly blue sparks.

"This'll be fun."

He slapped his thigh, grinning.

Asuma, the Third Hokage's son, was too valuable to kill immediately—but watching him get torn apart would be just as satisfying.

Inside the massive water sphere, the electric eels struck without mercy.

"GAHHH!!"

Asuma convulsed violently as the electric shocks tore through his body.

Blood seeped into the water as the eels bit down viciously.

Asuma's body went rigid, his movements slowing—his resistance fading.

"Asuma!!"

Kurenai's heart sank as she rushed toward the water, desperation written across her face.

SPLASH!

The moment she touched the water, a violent shockwave surged through her.

"Ah—!"

Her body jerked involuntarily, and she barely managed to leap back in time.

Yuto smirked. "The ocean is full of strange creatures, Kurenai. Some of them… can generate electricity."

Kurenai gritted her teeth.

"You bastard!"

Yuto shrugged. "Relax. Asuma won't die."

He leaned in slightly.

"At least, not yet."

"Yuto!"

Kurenai's voice turned icy. "Watch your words. We're not friends."

Yuto only chuckled. "Not yet. But when you come to Kirigakure, we'll have plenty of time to fix that."

Kurenai's gaze hardened. "I'll never step foot in a place like Kirigakure."

Yuto's smirk faded. "You don't have a choice."

Kurenai clenched her fists. "Why are you so sure Konoha will lose?"

Yuto's golden eyes darkened.

"Because I'm here."

His tone was absolute, dripping with conviction.

Kurenai swallowed, suddenly uneasy.

"Even if I like you, Kurenai—" Yuto's gaze sharpened. "If you don't obey me… I'll break you."

Unlike Asuma, he wasn't the type to worship at a woman's feet.

SHWIP!

Kurenai threw a volley of kunai, aiming for his throat.

SHING!

Yuto flicked his wrist, knocking them away effortlessly.

CLANG! CLANG!

Sparks flew as kunai clashed midair.

Their gazes locked.

Suddenly, Yuto's vision blurred.

A strange weight pressed against his mind, the world around him becoming distorted.

His movements slowed.

"Genjutsu?"

Yuto's lips curled.

"Bad move."

His golden eyes glowed ominously.

"You'll regret that, Kurenai."
