I'm A Great Pirate, And You Say I Just Set Sail?

Chapter 56: Chapter 56: White Wolf Pirates vs. Two Admirals!

The Marines had never underestimated the White Wolf Pirates.

If they had, they wouldn't have dispatched an admiral, an admiral candidate, and altogether two admiral-level powers.

Normally, two forces of that caliber were enough to suppress any enemy in the world. No one could gain an advantage against two admirals, especially not someone like Magnus, who had only recently fought the admiral-level Rona the Crimson Serpent to a draw.

But what the Marines hadn't expected—

In just three months, Magnus's physical strength had improved further, surpassing even his prime. His haoshoku haki (Conqueror's Haki) had evolved after battles with Rona and Harald, and was further enhanced by the system.

Combat was about momentum.

Even without mastering Advanced Conqueror's Coating, if he could dominate his opponents in presence, his combat power surged to 120%.

On top of that—three seconds of future sight.

Magnus could now firmly stand his ground in the realm of admiral-level power. Against those who had just stepped into that threshold, he had nothing to fear.

As long as it's one-on-one.

"Haha, Magnus! Is this all you've got?"

Sebas laughed as Magnus was knocked back hundreds of meters by the combined assault from him and Kong.

Even if Magnus had reached their level, no one could hold their ground against two admiral-level forces.

Magnus looked a bit battered. One-on-one, he could suppress either Sebas or Kong. But against both, he was clearly disadvantaged.

And this was only because he had caught them off guard and weakened Sebas early on. If both had been at full strength from the beginning, Magnus would've fared far worse.

"Cough…"

Magnus wiped blood from his lips and stood again, still grinning defiantly.

"Two admirals? That's all?"

Even being suppressed, he had no serious injuries. It showed: he might lose, but Sebas and Kong wouldn't win easily either.

"Sebas, I can fight you all day. Can you say the same?"

Sebas's smirk froze, his face darkening.

"Puhahaha! So I was right—you're too old to last even half a day!"

Magnus's battle-worn torso was lean and defined, scarred but vibrant. By contrast, the half-beast Sebas had withered significantly from his prime.

That's why Magnus mocked him—saying he'd been drained by women. He'd stopped training, and even the best foundation would waste away.

"General Jōma…"

"Kong, we need to end this quickly. Otherwise, our losses will be too great."

Sebas interrupted, unable to hide his fatigue. In the past, admirals were monsters who could battle for days. That kind of endurance was their trademark.

But aging had worn Sebas down. He had indeed slacked off since prepping for retirement.

"No matter what, the two of us together can bring him down!"

If they could injure Magnus before Sebas's condition worsened, Kong alone could finish him off.

With that, Sebas became even more aggressive.

And then—

A bullet whizzed at a tricky angle, cloaked in busoshoku haki (Armament Haki), aiming for Sebas's lower region.

A woman's crisp voice echoed:

"Dead-horse face! Two-on-one and you still can't beat my captain? What a waste of years!"

A blonde, sharp-eyed beauty in a cowboy hat sat on some rubble, rifle resting on her shoulder, cigarette in her mouth, and a teasing smile on her lips.

"Captain, I'm not late, am I?"

"Haha! Of course not. Just a retired old-timer fighting a deputy admiral and a fossil. I'd have won eventually."

Magnus grinned.

As long as they didn't kill him within half a day, he'd outlast Sebas. That was the strength of his zoan fruit: durability and regeneration.

"Getting cocky, huh? One year and you think you're untouchable?"

"Damn right."

Magnus smirked.

"I got lucky. The heavens don't want this old man to retire. They gave me a second wind."

Among all system rewards, the one he treasured most wasn't haki upgrades or aptitude boosts—it was the boost to cellular vitality.

Imagine being an old man waiting for death, and one day realizing your body was growing younger again.

Enhanced cellular vitality meant faster metabolism, regeneration, longer lifespan.

Not only was Magnus recovering his youth, his talents had surpassed their former limits—breaking even the barriers devil fruits couldn't change.

That's why he faced two admirals without fear.

The zoan's recovery powers, plus his revitalized body—

Even two admirals wouldn't bring him down easily.

Meanwhile, Kong and Sebas looked grim.

"Edwardz Lily, 160 million bounty, White Wolf Pirates' sniper!"

If she were alone, she'd be no threat. But clearly, more members were coming.

"Captain! You owe me a drink after this!"

An old pirate appeared beside them, bottle in one hand, a heavy staff in the other.

"Fighting two admirals? Never thought I'd see the day!"

Cunning Roya, bounty 190 million, Magnus's right hand.

Seeing them, Kong stopped caring about the news that the White Wolf Pirates had disbanded. If the core trio were here, the rest must be nearby.

"General Jōma…"

Kong was starting to think about retreat. This battle had gone far beyond Marine Headquarters' estimations.

They were supposed to suppress the entire crew together.

Now, they couldn't even take down Magnus alone.

"Are you thinking of fleeing, Kong? Just because two little fish showed up?"

Sebas shouted in disbelief.

He stared at Magnus. If they were defeated together, Magnus's name would skyrocket to the top.

He'd become the undisputed king of the seas.

And Sebas? Just a stepping stone.

His legacy ruined.

He couldn't accept that.

More importantly, he still didn't believe Magnus could endure them both.

Roya and Lily were both just over 100 million in bounty. To admirals, a serious opponent needed at least 200 million.

If it were just one admiral, maybe…

But two?

Even two large trash heaps are still trash!

Yet Magnus's next words stabbed Sebas's pride:

"Lily, Roya—I'll take on Kong. You two stall Sebas. That geezer's running out of steam. The two of you combined can keep him busy."

Individually, neither could last three moves against Sebas. The gap between admirals and regular pirates was too big.

But with Magnus tying down part of Sebas's focus, he wouldn't be able to go all out. That alone made it possible.

And if they ignored Roya and Lily? Even better.

Either way, with their arrival, Magnus's chances just jumped.

"Kong, hold Magnus down. I'll kill those two nobodies!"

"Got it!"

Kong knew he could last for a while. Sebas needed to clear the board fast.

But even if Sebas beat those two, they still had to deal with Magnus—the monster who fought like he wasn't seventy.

"Haha… Do you still think you're in control here?"

Before the Marines could respond, Magnus charged. His blade unleashed a crescent slash, covering both Kong and Sebas.

"Magnus, don't get cocky!!"

They roared in unison, destroying the slash. Kong dashed at Magnus while Sebas pivoted toward Roya and Lily.

"Frostfall!"

Magnus growled.

Freezing mist erupted from his body, transforming the battlefield. The drop in temperature weakened both Kong and Sebas.

This frost was colder and more aggressive than what Magnus used against Rona—designed specifically to counter Sebas's flames.

Sure, Sebas could burn it off.

But his fire couldn't tell friend from foe—even Kong would be affected.

Even if neutralized, so what?

Magnus wanted a clash of stamina.

And he had no fear.

Both Roya and Lily, having fought beside Magnus for years, had already thrown on thick coats.

This was now a battle of attrition.

In March, Sphinx began to snow.

Not from nature.

But because Magnus's frost changed the moisture in the clouds.

Logia users could alter entire climates.

Magnus, being zoan, couldn't do that permanently.

But even so—

This three-way admiral-level battle was shattering half the island.

Even Marines gulped at the devastation.

"That White Wolf Magnus… he's fighting two admirals head-on…"

"We'll still win, right?"

"Of course! Kong's almost a full admiral! Who can beat two at once?!"

The Marines trusted their admirals. They'd never let them down.

But before the admirals settled things—

The port town's tide was turning against the Navy.

Amid the chaos, Azure Flame Ed struck down a Marine vice admiral, forcing him to his knees.

"One down."

Azure Flame Ed, 130 million bounty, White Wolf Pirates' swordsman.

Only a few Marine vice admirals could match such pirates. The one capable was still busy with Dukeman.

So Ed now moved like a predator among sheep.

"I'm still too weak to join that fight…"

The handsome older man sighed, glancing toward the others.

"Those two must be our captain's new recruits. So young, yet so strong—better than I ever was."

Rocks vs. Vice Admiral Honniz.

Ripley vs. Vice Admiral Pick.

Both were fighting at full capacity.

Suddenly—

Ed spotted another vice admiral heading toward them.

His face turned ice cold.

"They are the future of the White Wolf Pirates."

Hand on his blade, he intercepted.

"Their fight—don't you dare interfere."
