I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 291: The... Invasion?

[Current Time: 18:31]

Lillian stared at the time on her phone, breathing a sigh before resting it on her chest. There was still time... But so little time as well...

Looking around the room, she stared at the camera in every single one of the corners. She gave a low hum at that.

An hour ago, she was just visited by one of the teachers in the academy. Someone sent by Mirage to check up on how I was doing. They had also wanted to talk about the email I had sent to him.

Of course, Lillian just played it off as a strong hunch, which caused the teacher to frown. They then went on to say that her actions could lead to a hefty punishment for causing panic.

She sighed, remembering this, and leaned back into her bed again.

'Welp. At least Mirage is taking my words seriously.'

Thinking this, she stood up and wandered over to the window, looking through and finding a multitude of guards wandering outside, this time, in full metal armour and lethal weapons.

They seemed to have stepped up their game finally.

Leaning against the windowsill with the bottom of her chin resting in the palm of her hand, she smiled slightly, admiring the sky that had seemingly darkened.

But...

Not for regular and usual reasons...

Lillian looked at her phone again.

[18:59]

'Time does pass so fast...'

Resting her shoulder against the window, a look of indifference spread across her face. She continued to stare at the screen of her phone.

Emotions spread through her body.

She was nervous. Anxious. And... Even afraid. This event in the story might be what finally puts her to rest.

"Well... That's what past me would think..."

The look of indifference that was once on her face was replaced with a large but shaky grin filled with excitement.

Once the time had finally ticked to the next hour... The world seemingly shuddered as though an earthquake had suddenly appeared in the academy realm...

Putting away her phone, she turned towards the sky, looking through the window and finding a large violet rift in the sky.

If Lillian squinted her eyes a bit more, she would find a small dot falling out of the terrifying rift that looked more like an eye with a swirling black pupil.

Her eyes followed the mysterious object that fell out of the rift, watching as it fell behind a few buildings she couldn't look over.

And then...

A deafening sound occurred.

BOOM!

***

Mirage, who had been meditating inside his office—regulating his mana circulation and taking a dive into his Mana Realm—twitched as the sound of a gigantic explosion shot into his ears.

Immediately opening his eyes, he looked to the side, staring through the large windows in his office.

And what he found was a massive purple translucent wall speeding towards him, passing over the street and buildings under it.

"An EMP wave...!" He instinctively muttered under his breath as he watched the wave pass through his wall.

It then went on to swallow the entire building he was in. However, right before that could happen, he slammed his fist on a precarious-looking button on the side of his desk.

Looking down at the button and seeing that it had been activated before being rendered useless. He gave his usual cold smile as he walked up to his window with his arms folded behind his back.

Staring into the sky that had suddenly switched and moved towards the time of Golden Hour, he couldn't help but bitterly mutter as he shifted his attention to the large rift in the sky that began to multiply at an alarming rate:

"She was right. There really was an attack today..." He paused before breathing a deep sigh. "Why can't our academy be free from invasions?"

Once he said that, he took several nonchalant steps back, avoiding—

SHATTER

—The glass shards from his now broken window.

Flooding into his office, a group of dark individuals in black cloaks with cultish masks appeared with deadly weapons in their hands.

Mirage smiled bitterly, seeing that he was the first to engage with the enemy.

"How troublesome. I won't be entertaining you for long. I have guests and students to save and staff to support."

Without any other delay, he swiped his hand through the air, sending a distorted wave of magic.

"Oh, Marionette! Have you finished freshening u—" Veronica, who was in the middle of cooking dinner, found the black-haired woman enter the kitchen with...

A strange and almost serious attire.

Fully dressed in a black tactical outfit and a pitch black trench coat on top, Marionette stared down at the mother with black latex gloves covering her hands.

Seeing that the mother was looking at her strangely, Marionette smiled softly before muttering:

"I wanted to have a change in pace."

"Oh, I see!"

Right as Veronica was about to turn back to cooking, Marionette spoke up:

"Could you do me a favour, Miss Veronica?"

"Hm? Sure. What is it, dear?" The mother tilted her head, watching as the black-haired woman raised a white cloth to her face.

"Please take in a deep whiff of this."

The mother, thinking nothing of this, leaned in, taking in a deep whiff before leaning away. She stared at the Assassin with a playful look:

"Darling, I'm aware this is anaesthetics. I'm quite resistant to it, you know~..."

Marionette blinked at her before nodding, "I'm aware. That's why I used the more potent kind."

"W-wha—"

Before Veronica could finish, her mind suddenly turned off. She let out a few giggles before feeling the world blur and suddenly darken as her eyes closed.

Marionette quickly moved and caught her, slowly placing her back on the ground as she summoned an oxygen tank and mask from her spatial storage.

Once she secured the oxygen mask on the mother's face, she slowly stretched her darkness underneath the woman and the oxygen tank.

After the two targets were absorbed and trapped inside the world of darkness, she stood up and went into the living room.

Opening the curtains, she looked towards the sky, her face darkening slightly as she muttered:

"Lillian..."

Her expression became tense.

She turned around, intending to leave the dormitory.

However... Right as she was about to...

SHATTER!

The sound of glass shattering appeared...

The long-awaited Invasion... Had begun...
