I Will Conquer The World!

Harry explored the interior of the cave with curiosity present on his face. "Just how deep is this cave?", he thought.

The cave began becoming more and more damper and less visible as he went deeper in due to the lack of sunlight. Just when Harry was about to use a light spell to be able to see inside the cave properly, blinding light filled the whole cave.

Harry covered his eyes due to the brightness of the light as he felt he would go blind should he try to look at the source of the light directly.

Pluto suddenly said in his head, "Harry, you can look freely now. The light's dimmed by a lot."

Harry slowly uncovered his closed eyes, before slowly opening his eyes too. He saw that there were a few bright gems littered on the walls that made the cave completely visible. Harry had a lot of questions pop up into his mind. 

"What are those gems?", was the question that he was the most curious about.

He asked Pluto, "Pluto, do you know what those gems are?'"

Pluto, whose projection suddenly appeared next to him, went towards the gems and examined them. He had his chin in his hands as he looked at them with narrowed eyes. He looked like a detective who was examining crucial evidence in his pose. If not for his clothes, that was a pair of standard shirt and jeans, people would believe that he really was a detective.

Pluto examined the gems in all angles and did all sorts of stuff on them. He licked them, caressed them, and tried to drag them out, all of which did not give a single result as he was just a projection.

Pluto came towards him and said with a sigh, "I don't know what they are."

Harry groaned and then said, "Aren't you supposed to be an ex god? How could you not even know what these gems are?"

Pluto facepalmed as he said, "Gods are not omnipotent and all knowing you know. How would have devils and monsters come into existence then? Hell, even I should not exist, but the gods don't know about me."

Harry had a look of realization, after which he said with sarcasm dripping in his voice, "Okay, I'll ignore your lack of 'knowledge' which was the key thing that you had used as a bargaining chip for me to free you."

Pluto laughed awkwardly, at a loss of words to say as a response for the mockery that Harry was spewing.

Harry finally observed the cave properly after he stopped arguing with Pluto. He turned back and spotted the entrance that he had used to enter the cave faintly. He looked at the two subbranches of the cave that were leading in completely different directions.

Harry was utterly confused on which direction to take. What if he chose the wrong subbranch of the cave, the one that the queen and princess of Aduseon did not take? Wouldn't it waste a lot of his time?

He asked his system, "Hey system, can I zoom into the map? It only gives a panoramic view of all the nearby locations. What if I want to zoom into this specific cave system?"

[Unfortunately Host, you can not do that in this version of the map. You will have to upgrade it.]

"Upgrade it? How?", asked Harry. He would upgrade it right now if the requirements were not too much. Being able to zoom into the map can be useful in many situations in the future.

[Hm…. I don't know Host.]

Harry was slightly shocked at the response that the system had given. He asked with confusion, "You don't know, system? How could that be?"

He would have thought that he had misheard the system if not for the fact that there was no way that would happen. The conversation between him and the system occurred in his mind, and there was no way that he could mishear anything.

The system laughed loudly in its robotic voice, which felt extremely weird to hear. It then said, [I was messing with you host. But yeah, I really don't know. The requirements are still locked.]

"Wait, it won't count as messing with me if you yourself don't know the requirements right! And anyway, what do you mean by locked?", Harry asked.

[Oh well, maybe my first sentence was incorrectly framed. Anyway, I don't know what the requirements are as they are locked. Locked is exactly what you think it is.]

"I never knew you had 'locked' stuff, system.", Harry said.

[Well, you don't know a lot of things, Host. You act like a generic and trashy Chinese novel's main lead.]

Harry clutched at his heart, which was burnt due to this harsh remark from the system. 'Seriously system? You could have called me anything and described me as any character. You could have called me a cynic bastard, or a selfish moron or a generic anti hero, anything is okay. But, of all things, you described how I act as a generic and trashy Chinese male lead? In which way do I act like those brainless bastards?', Harry asked in a manner that suggested that he was ranting.

[In which way do you not? Your brainless, get tricked by me easily and you are hasty.]

Harry thought about it for a while before growling, "I do not think with my dick! I do not run after girls!"

"Harry, don't you realize that you're just getting played with by the system? You know that it's annoying you by purpose to tease you, right? You're just playing along with it, right?", Pluto asked with concern. Harry couldn't be that dumb, could he?

Harry felt his face and neck heat up and turn slightly red as he growled, "Of course Pluto. I'm just playing along with the system."

Pluto realized that Harry really was getting worked up over the system's remarks and facepalmed. He laughed awkwardly and avoided the topic, as he said, "What are you going to do now, Harry? Which subbranch are you going to enter?"

"I don't know. The dots are still in the same position and are moving very slowly and minutely in the map, so I can't conclude which direction they decided to move in.", Harry said while examining the map.

About this bit, "How would have devils and monsters come into existence then?", there's actually a big backstory and all. I realized that I've still not told about it. Don't worry, I'll insert it in the story in the future chaps when I find it suitable. 

Please read the story from the start again. I'm rewriting it. I assure you it'll be good (pats chest). Like I'm including stuff like a secret group of assassins for Harry, and all. I'm also thinking of including a function like scope of personality that will give him powers to examine all his citizens and kill those who are not loyal [Grins evilly and scarily.]
