I Was Hoping She Would Notice but again Now When She Did... Im Tired

Chapter 306: Girlfriend? No

"F-fast… You motherfucker" Celestia growled again, her grip tightening, eyes blazing as if she'd devour him if he made her wait a second longer.

"Wi-will… yo-you be my… g-girlfriend, Celestia?" The words tumbled out, clumsy, stumbling, as if his heart was tripping over itself.

"No! You fucking idiot!" Celestia barked, twisting his collar so hard it nearly choked him. Lucian's eyes widened, fear flickering had he just been rejected?

But before he could even breathe, her voice crashed over him.

"Marry!" She spoke the word with fire in her voice. Like it wasn't a question. Like it was a command her eyes gleaming with killing intent, her grip rough enough to make him lean forward, their faces now close enough that their breaths mingled.

"W-what?!" Lucian gasped, eyes wide in shock, heart hammering like a drum.

Meanwhile

Avey… broke.

Tears fell silently down her face.

She didn't scream. Didn't cry loudly.

She just stood there. Staring.

As if her soul had quietly slipped out of her body, unable to bear watching anymore.

Her legs trembled. Her fingers loosened from Victor's sleeve and fell to her side.

Her heart…

Cracked.

Every moment she had held close every conversation, every hope, every small dream…

It all unraveled before her eyes in slow, deliberate pieces.

And he never even looked back at her.

Not once and now even this

"Say it fast, you fucker, or I swear you'll be sleeping on the couch every night!" Celestia roared, her voice fierce, her smile sharper than any blade. That grin on her face wasn't playful it was dangerous, like a predator cornering its prey.

Lucian opened his mouth, ready to argue, maybe even tease her but the second he saw that look in her eyes, he swallowed whatever words were about to escape.

Fuck it, he muttered in his head, defeated by the intensity of this woman.

"Will you… marry me, Celestia?" The words tumbled out of his mouth clumsily, raw and unpolished, but true.

Celestia froze for a breath. Then

And for a half-second he thought she might bite him.

But then

"YES! FUCKING YES! FINALLY! THIS FUCKING IDIOT OF MINE!!"

She exploded.

Celestia shouted like someone had just gifted her the sun. She released his collar not to let him go but because she was too busy jumping in place, hands up in the air, laughing, cursing, practically glowing.

Lucian just stood there, stunned.

He lowered his hands from her face, staring at her.

Jumping. Twirling. Beaming.

She looked like a child who had just stolen the stars and gotten away with it.

And something strange happened.

Lucian's vision blurred for a moment.

His eyes… welled up.

It wasn't sorrow.

It wasn't joy, either not in the way others might understand it.

It was release.

Years of repression, of feeling like he didn't deserve to belong to someone, to be wanted... all unraveled in the sight of this insane, dangerous, beautiful woman dancing in the rain with his name on her tongue and fire in her eyes.

But it didn't last.

Because suddenly

She turned.

And like a wild beast, she lunged.

Lucian barely had time to blink.

Before Lucian could catch his breath, Celestia's hand shot out. She slid it up beneath his neck, fingers tangling in his hair, and yanked his head back, forcing him to look up at her.

"Ow! Ow! Hey, what are you...??" Lucian began, but before he could finish, her lips crashed down onto his, silencing him completely.

The world stopped.

Because in the next heartbeat

Her lips crashed onto his.

Wet. Fierce. Possessive.

Her body pushed into his as if trying to consume him, and her mouth stole his breath, his words, his sanity. The world disappeared beneath the weight of her obsession.

His eyes widened in shock. He wasn't ready.

Not for this.

She didn't care.

Her eyes remained open locked onto his. Watching him. Devouring his reactions. As if she didn't want to blink and miss a single tremble in his pupils.

Her tongue slid past his lips like it belonged there marking territory, not asking for permission.

Lucian's lungs screamed.

He hadn't even gotten to breathe in

Huff

His mouth made a strangled sound against hers, but she refused to pull away. Her kiss wasn't an expression of love. It was a claim.

You're mine.

---

On the sidelines

Avey stumbled.

One step back.

Her legs didn't move they buckled.

Her eyes widened further, her breathing erratic. Her hands clenched the fabric of her dress, and the tears that had been falling silently now poured like a flood.

She couldn't look away.

Didn't want to watch but couldn't turn her head.

And the worst part…?

Lucian wasn't even resisting.

---

Back in the center of the storm

Lucian wasn't sure how long the kiss lasted.

All he knew was that it only ended when his lungs had completely emptied. And when Celestia finally pulled away, her lips still slick with the aftermath of the storm they created, she smiled again.

Like someone who had finally tasted what they'd been craving for years.

Her body trembled not from nerves, but from euphoria.

"Haaah…"

Lucian gasped, clutching his knees, bent slightly forward, trying to breathe.

Celestia simply laughed.

A delighted, feral sound as she stood to the side, licking her lips literally licking them clean as she turned to face Avey.

And then

She raised her eyebrows.

A little taunting twitch. A micro-expression of smug victory.

Her eyes said it all

He's mine now.

Avey's tears fell faster, her body trembling so badly she could barely stand. But she refused to let Lucian see her like this. Her hand fell limply to her side.

She wiped her face quickly furiously with the sleeve of her dress, trying to erase any trace of weakness.

Finally releasing Victor's sleeve at last the one she'd clung to the whole time without realizing it.

Trying to pretend this didn't break her.

But it had.

And she knew… Lucian had seen none of it.

She had disappeared from his world completely.

Back to Celestia.

She suddenly bounced toward Lucian like a cat circling its prey.

"Husband! That was fucking amazing!"

Her voice was high with excitement, pupils still wide, lips still red.

"Let's do it again!" she exclaimed, giddy, eyes sparkling with dangerous energy.

Lucian, still trying to breathe, looked at her like she was a force of nature he couldn't hope to control. "What the hell…? Does she not even need to breathe?" he muttered under his breath, bewildered.

He raised a hand to stop her. "Hey, hey calm down, Celestia. I need to breathe. Just give me a second."

But before the words even finished leaving his mouth, her hand snatched his collar again, yanking him toward her. Her voice softened, but her eyes gleamed with a dangerous light.

"Darling~ no… call me wife. My cute, lovely, beautiful wife~" The way she said it, the way she looked at him he knew this wasn't a request. This was a command.

Lucian swallowed hard, his throat dry, his heart hammering in his chest. "Ah yes, yes… wife," he said quickly, praying it was enough.

But it wasn't.

"And? I just gave you my first kiss. At least act like it means something. Show some excitement, shouldn't you?" she demanded, her gaze burning into him, dangerously expectant.

Lucian nodded fast, tripping over his words. "Ah, yes yes, it was… so good! Ahhem no Wife yes Wife my cute, lovely, beautiful wife!" he corrected himself in a rush, seeing the flicker of warning in her eyes.

Celestia's smile softened into one of satisfaction. "That's good," she said, finally releasing his collar. But...
