Chapter 403: Astral Archsage
Logan felt the newfound power surge through him.
Thankfully, he hadn't grown taller, but he somehow felt his power had condensed and grown. The mana increase after spending more than a month at level 80 was undeniable. It felt good to gain strength again, and jumping nine whole levels was impossible not to feel.
The rush of energy, especially as he absorbed the remnants of the miasma, was quickly filling his low reserves.
What he really wanted now was to test his new abilities, but he was still in the presence of the darkness spirit, Velmora.
[I see you enjoy power, well, there is just one more power up I can offer you, so quickly end this war.]
"I do enjoy it... and I will do as you have asked… now I just need to do something about our two inmates…"
Logan turned toward the demons who had long since prostrated themselves. They stared at the ground, trembling with fear.
He considered sending them to Serana—maybe even turning them into vampires—but ultimately decided against it.
"Guess this'll be the first time I truly force someone into submission… Fine."
He drew blood from his thumb and pressed it behind the ear of each demon—one on the left, one on the right.
Suddenly, both demons cried out.
Their screams pierced the air as the pact began. Pain wracked their bodies, not from physical wounds, but from their very beings rejecting the bond. It was unlike anything Logan had encountered before.
As if being ensnared and squeezed by invisible vines, their veins showed, their bodies started to tremble—his Taming skill visibly forcing its way into them, weakening their resistance moment by moment.
Finally, the tattoos formed as the spell was completed taking over their will.
The two demons slumped forward, breathing hard, the pain gone. Their resistance had shattered.
They had accepted their fate.
[That will be all, now leave. I have so much to do—and you need to get ready.]
Volmora made the tendril near him pulse once, then spiraled into the ground, creating a sudden portal that opened beneath the remaining team members. One by one, they vanished, leaving only Victor, the shadow hero, behind.
Logan dropped through the shadows and reappeared near the ships. The salty wind hit his face as the waves rocked gently against the harbor. It was time to split the team.
The ships needed protection.
Logan turned his gaze to the sky.
[Wyver, I need you to guard the ships. Can you handle that, bud?]
High above, the frost ruler Wyver gave a sharp cry and swooped into a wide circle around the masts, wings cutting through the mist. That was enough confirmation.
[Everyone else, we're returning. Silvia—how many can you take back?] Logan asked, curious to gauge her new class's limits.
"You don't need to worry about that," Silvia replied with a faint smirk. "You take two. I'll handle the others."
Logan's eyes narrowed slightly.
A new portal formed—unlike the mirror-like ones before, this one came with a translucent window, showing the other side clearly. A gentle pull of mana surrounded it, stable and refined.
One by one, his allies jumped through.
Logan waited, watching each figure disappear until only he remained. Then, he activated his own teleportation skill.
To do so, he glanced toward Silvia again, silently inspecting her stats.
────────༺༻────────
Name: Silvia Reed
────༺༻────
Class: Astral Archsage
Level: 83 / Health: 1032 / Mana: 1580
Strength: 45 / Agility: 48 / Dexterity: 52 / Constitution: 99 / Intelligence: 148 / Charisma: 92
────༺༻────
[Skills:]
Astral Gate (Rank: Supreme): Silvia opens a stabilized rift in space, forming a visual portal that displays the exact destination in real time. Unlike previous iterations, the portal now bypasses wards, spells, and terrain interference, enabling safe and accurate travel even across dimensional layers. (Cooldown: 10 min, Stored 16/21)
Elemental Convergence (Rank: Supreme): Weaves multiple elements with zero casting delay. Elemental interaction now causes compounding effects (e.g., Fire + Wind = Wildfire).
Arcane Displacement (Rank: Advanced): Shift allies or self up to 45 meters. Enemies within 5 meters are briefly dazed.
Celestial Veil (Rank: Advanced): Absorbs all forms of magical damage and now reflects a portion back at the attacker. The converted mana regeneration rate increased.
Elemental Invocation (Rank: Supreme): Instantly call forth one of the seven elements, targeting up to five foes. Now, recoil status is caused if the enemy resists.
Aetherial Cataclysm (Rank: Mythic): Harness all elemental forces for devastating impact. Chain effects now persist across the battlefield for 20 seconds. (Cooldown: 2 hours)
Stellar Cascade (Rank: Advanced): Call down radiant mini-stars across a wide zone. Each hit causes light disruption and lowers enemy spell defense. (Cooldown: 30 min)
────༺༻────
[Abilities:]
Warpweaver's Dominion (Rank: Supreme): Silvia can now collapse or expand gravitational fields. Collapsed zones cause time dilation and extreme weight in a 10m radius.
Primal Elemental Manifestation (Rank: Supreme): Terrain now enhances elemental attacks—e.g., fire gains damage in volcanic terrain, lightning arcs farther during storms.
Constellation Alignment (Rank: Mythic): Once per day, Silvia aligns with the stars, enhancing all elemental damage by 25% and exposing enemy weak points. Duration: 3 minutes. (Cooldown: 24 hours)

Logan noticed it was the same skill Astra Gate, which he knew quite well, just raised a rank, which meant that he could use it without problem.
In no time, he cast the spell and found himself back in the capital.
There were still things he wanted to ask the darkness spirit—but alas, he had a home to defend.
And more than that, he needed to start mobilizing.
Teams had to be dispatched to the other kingdoms. With both Silvia and Lisa now having new classes, the battles would be a little easier, at least he hoped.
More importantly, several of his creatures—once capped at level 80 due to Logan not changing his class—had finally begun gaining levels again.
Scorch, his most destructive powerhouse, remained his second-strongest… only beaten by Kryst, who continued draining experience with each new crystal she helped create.
[Yui, gather everyone, please. I know you might be tired, Silvia, but we need to start spreading out the forces. Lisa, I hope you can defend the Earth Temple while we plan, thanks.]
Logan gave the mental command swiftly. Silis, Terra, and Gaia were already on the move—the three were being sent to the Earthen Temple. Tapping into the temple's ambient mana would speed their recovery and keep their mana reserves full.
"Will do. Just make sure you don't spread everyone too thin," Lisa said, rushing through the portal Silvia had created with Orus—the same gate the massive earth creatures had used just moments earlier. "We still need strength left to help the other kingdoms."
Logan already knew he couldn't do everything himself. He needed to figure out which heroes were still active… and where they could be most useful.
"I'll go with Cinder, Uriel, Juggernaut, and Scorch. I believe helping the Red Iron Kingdom is the best option," Rubina said firmly.
Logan glanced around.
His two knights, Kai and Chloe, nodded towards the gaze he gave them; they understood exactly what was needed.
"Don't worry, we'll go with her," Chloe added, her voice sharp. "If possible, I want to take Elandor too. We can't focus all our strength on fire-based monsters. They'll be expecting that."
Logan nodded in agreement.
[You heard her, bud, help Rubina, I am counting on you to keep her safe, alright?]
Logan called out to Scorch before he opened the portal to the volcano where Cinder had once been captured.
The large fire Hydra with seven heads looked almost joyful as she stepped through, returning home, this time as its protector.
"Well, that's two handled."
Logan exhaled, rubbing the side of his temple.
"We still need someone to help… Elris. I fear that's where they'll strike the hardest…"
His eyes drifted to the next pair.
[Yui, Ren. I'm hoping you two can go, with Brian there, I believe it will be difficult for me to intervene. If possible, take Narok and Drakhel—the two dragons. Just keep them away from the temple.]
He paused, thinking through the possibilities and the team's composition.
[Hmm… on second thought, also take Stormwing (the evolved thunderbird), Riptide (the primordial water bear), and Regal (the lovable spider). I'm sure with that lineup, you'll do fine. If anything happens, send a message. And check which heroes can assist you once you arrive.]
It was a strong group—balanced in elements, mobility, and sheer power- Logan was confident about this lineup.
Logan then looked around. It was just Silvia, Zephyr, his new fox Nixie who had returned to his shoulder, Luna, Serana, her minions, and Voltar.
They were the strongest he had on hand.
He did not need to fill the battlefield with more than that; it would be reckless, especially since he knew Krexa and the Warks were already on the move.
"Well then, let's start. We shall defeat whatever these Ghrell are, and then help the other two teams, everyone get ready, we can't delay much longer.
Logan opened a new gate near the temple of earth, he was ready to move out when someone called him from behind.
"Logan? I guess I came at a good time!" Ruben suddenly got out of the house, behind him Irma and even Ruri rushed out to help.
"What are you three…" Logan was about to ask.
"You should have heard, we have detected an army approaching with Marie's new system, Zaryx is leading them, the others are a mix between demons and insects, a very strange sight.
"And what do you want to do, Ruben? We need to leave soon," Logan added. He could hear Zephyr telling him the demons were quickly approaching, even from this distance.
