Chapter 302: Into the Volcano Pt.2
Silvia stepped forward, and Logan watched closely, wondering what she intended. He had expected her to utilize some form of personalized space magic—perhaps bending reality to carve a path through the volcanic terrain. But instead, she channeled water magic, the air around her shifting as a cool mist began to swirl.

Logan took a quick glance at Silvia's stats, curious about her strategy. He knew she only had two magic skills—one far too powerful to waste on a few low-level birds.
He quickly narrowed it down to Elemental Invocation, a skill that would undoubtedly prove useful against the fire crane-like creatures. The birds had been happily dancing around the lava pool until they sensed a sudden fluctuation of energy. The moment the magic pulsed through the air, the birds shivered, their instincts telling them it was water-based. They attempted to take flight, but something held them down—gravity itself seemed to force them toward the ground.
Logan chuckled as he watched Silvia unleash her ability. Within seconds, a surge of water blasted the two birds back, preventing them from escaping into the air.
"It's your turn…" Silvia said, her breath heavy. Logan recognized the strain—her skill took a significant toll on her mana. Its mere five seconds of use confirmed its status as an ultimate ability, much like how Lisa's revival magic could only bring back a single person.
Logan hastily completed the task using blood magic once more. The two birds had no chance of escaping, pinned in place by the weight of the cold water that had drenched them.
Deciding to tame the pair, he scanned the area for a nearby nest, wanting to ensure he wasn't disrupting an established home. Fortunately, there was none—the birds had only just come together.
Still, a pang of guilt settled in his chest. Their ritual-like dance had been one of union, a celebration of partnership, and he had interrupted it.
"Well, you two, you'll have time back home to continue your dance," Logan sighed.
The newly tamed birds shook off the lingering water, their feathers regaining their brilliance. Now that they were under his care, Logan assisted them with fire magic, sending a wave of warmth to restore their ideal temperature. He then handed them a few fire crystals, watching as the group waited for their inevitable evolution. When tamed, they had been level 38—now, he anticipated their transformation.
Taking a moment, Logan looked up to check on Wyver, who was circling high above. The massive drake appeared to be locked in combat with another large creature. Logan could only imagine how Freya was handling the aerial struggle—no doubt screaming, hoping for it to end soon.
At first glance, Wyver's opponent seemed to be a single colossal beast. But within moments, it split—revealing itself to be a swarm of smaller creatures, scattering across the sky.
"Are you seeing this?" Logan muttered, activating Zephyr's skill to inspect the situation. His vision sharpened, revealing what was truly happening—hundreds of insect-like creatures flickered in and out of existence, vanishing one by one as ice beams cut through them, shattering their forms.
Some of the blazing moths fell around them, their scorched bodies tumbling through the air. Reacting swiftly, Logan cast a barrier over the group, shielding them from the burning remnants.
He glanced down at one of the fallen creatures near his foot. Though they had appeared small from a distance, up close, their true size was revealed—twenty centimeters in length, with a compact main body of about eight to ten centimeters.
Logan's attention shifted back to the sky when, suddenly, two brilliant flashes erupted beside him. His newly tamed cranes had begun their evolution.
Without hesitation, he checked their status, analyzing how they would fit into his future battles. In that moment, he decided on their names—Inferis and Solis.
The transformation left them looking more majestic than before—two large cranes with striking red crests, sleek black necks, and white feathers that shimmered, appearing as if they were burning.

Molten Cry: Releases an echoing call infused with fire magic, causing flames to ripple through the air, igniting anything flammable.
Pyre Wing: Solis wraps itself in a cloak of embers, enhancing flight speed and leaving a trail of burning wind behind.
Infernal Spiral – With a powerful aerial maneuver, Solis spins mid-flight, generating a vortex of fire that expands outward. This fiery whirlwind pulls enemies toward its core before erupting in a wave of flames, dealing wide-area damage.
Solar Burst – Solis releases a concentrated explosion of radiant fire, temporarily blinding enemies caught in its immediate vicinity and igniting the air around it for enhanced evasiveness.

Logan smiled, eager to explore the new skills his tamed cranes had unlocked. But as he glanced skyward, his focus shifted once more—the battle between Wyver and the blazing moths was far from over.
The swarm clung to the massive drake, their fiery bodies clustered so tightly that it looked as if he were engulfed in a raging firestorm. The heat shimmered in the air, waves of energy flickering with each beat of Wyver's wings.
Even from below, Logan could sense the tension—the relentless fight unfolding overhead, the battle which tested the resilience of his companion, and the sheer force of the creatures opposing him.
