Chapter 23: You Might Die
"So this is... semen..." Sarushima murmured, her voice a mix of fascination and curiosity as she stared at her hand, now slick with thick, creamy strands of cum. The warmth of it seeped into her skin, sticky and heavy against her palm. "I never really understood how this white stuff could make a woman conceive a child in her womb, but I think I get it now. If the penis is stimulated, it releases this, right? But... does that mean I'm pregnant now? No... It's supposed to be released inside a woman's vagina, isn't it?"
Her brows furrowed as she pondered aloud, her fingers lightly spreading the milky fluid between them, watching the strings of cum stretch and break. Okumura stood a few feet away, his face flushed with a deep shade of embarrassment, feeling the cool air against his exposed skin.
I can't believe I came all over her...
He could feel the heat burning in his chest, a knot of shame and confusion tightening in his gut. And yet, beneath that shame, there was a lingering thrill, a wild rush that he couldn't quite ignore. It had felt so good—way better than he'd imagined—but the speed of it all had left him reeling.
This is so stupid. The thought raced through his mind like a pulse. Even though I just got jerked off by a beautiful senpai, I can't shake off this embarrassment. I'm supposed to be happy about this, right? But getting jerked off like that... as a man, it just feels humiliating somehow.
He swallowed hard, trying to process the whirlwind of emotions battering against him. But amidst the confusion and the swirling heat, a sense of unease crept in. Just yesterday, he had been an ordinary guy, and now he was thrust into a world of angels, demons, and hidden battles. He was supposed to be the savior—the child of the anti-prophecy. It was all so far-fetched that his mind struggled to keep up with the weight of it.
Maybe I should just be grateful that I get to be with these beautiful women... but thinking that way is a scummy thought.
No matter how enticing it was to be involved with these women, he knew he couldn't let himself fall that far. If he became a total scumbag, he'd risk destroying any genuine connection he could form with them. Who could truly love someone like that, anyway?
"Okumura-kun, did it feel good for you?" Sarushima's voice broke through his thoughts, a soft, knowing smile on her lips. Just moments ago, her face had been wild and devilish, eyes gleaming with a dark hunger—but now, she looked almost angelic, the shift in her demeanor catching him off guard.
"Y-Yeah," Okumura stammered, the words tumbling out before he could stop them, his cheeks burning.
"I'm sorry if I was a bit too forceful earlier," she said. "My inner vampire took over for a moment. I couldn't control myself."
"Y-You're a vampire?" he blurted, his mind stumbling over the revelation.
"I am, indeed," she replied casually, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. "Didn't Hina tell you?"
"N-No. She only mentioned that she was a succubus, but she didn't say anything about you," Okumura muttered.
"Well, I suppose she's protecting the leader of this territory, which is probably why she kept quiet," Sarushima mused.
"Territory?" Okumura echoed.
"Yes. This entire 500-meter radius is under the control of the Sarushima clan," she explained, her eyes scanning the room as if seeing it with new awareness. "As the clan leader, it's my duty to protect this area and its inhabitants, alongside others like Hina. Normally, our only threats are exorcists and demon hunters, but lately, angels have started appearing too. It seems like Heaven is gearing up for a new war against demons."
Okumura's heart skipped a beat, a chill running down his spine. So that's why an angel showed up last night...
"That's also why we need you," Sarushima continued. "I'm sorry for dragging you into this mess so suddenly, and for being a bit aggressive in pulling you into this cause, but we're truly desperate. Hell is struggling against the forces from Heaven right now."
The weight of her words pressed down on Okumura, leaving him feeling trapped between the world he knew and the one he was suddenly a part of. He had no clue if he could handle it, but he couldn't bear the thought of Saonji being put in danger. She would definitely join this war, and beyond that...
I feel like... somehow, I don't want the President to die either.
The realization caught him off guard. In the short time since they'd met, he'd developed a strange sense of attachment to Sarushima, though it wasn't as strong as his feelings for Saonji.
"If nothing is done, you might die too," Sarushima said suddenly, her voice cutting through the silence like a blade.
"What?!"
"Angels will come to hunt you. They don't know about your existence yet, but if they find out, they'll hunt you down and kill you. Demon hunters will target you too. Which is why—"
Before she could finish, a sharp, whistling sound sliced through the air, followed by a dull thud as something pierced the door. Okumura reacted on pure instinct, grabbing Sarushima and shoving her out of the way.
"Are you okay, President?!" he gasped, heart pounding in his chest.
"I'm fine, luckily. That could've been troublesome if it hit me," she replied, her tone steady, but her eyes narrowed as she stared at the arrow embedded in the wall. It gleamed with a faint, eerie light—coated in holy water.
A mocking voice rang out, smooth and smug. "Oh? You managed to dodge that? Impressive." The attacker stepped into the room, his footsteps echoing off the floor as he kicked the door open. It was the receptionist from earlier, his lips curled into a sneer. "They say I'm as silent as a ghost, with a presence that's almost impossible to detect. But this boy... he's not just some ordinary human, is he?"
It was the receptionist earlier.
His smirk widened, his eyes glinting with a predatory gleam. "I can spot a demon when I see one, and you had the nerve to use Illusion Magic on me? I played along, thinking I might gather some information... and it turns out, I was right. I've been watching you through a hidden camera I placed in this room. I thought you might drain him dry, but I guess I was wrong. This boy... he's the child of the anti-prophecy, isn't he?"
The receptionist's sneer deepened, satisfaction dripping from every word.
"I can't let you walk away with that knowledge. You're going to die right here," Sarushima growled, a fierce determination burning in her eyes. "Okumura-kun, get behind me."
"It's too late," the receptionist taunted, his voice thick with smugness. "I've already shared this information with the entire demon hunter association. They're on their way here right now!"
Sarushima's expression twisted with shock, her eyes wide. She had let her guard down, thinking her territory was secure. And now, her carelessness had not only exposed the existence of the child of the anti-prophecy but had also put Okumura's life on the line.
This is the worst-case scenario, she thought.
