I, The Aeon of Trailblaze, Trailblazing the Multiverse

Chapter 33: Night Raid: Are You People from the Heavens?

In the dense forest, the three newly landed figures surveyed their surroundings, ensuring the area was secure.

The air was humid, and faint low growls could be heard in the distance, indicating the presence of numerous animals.

From the initial energy scans, it was clear that these creatures possessed extraordinary abilities, but their energy fluctuations were relatively weak and posed no threat to them.

"We landed in a forest, huh? Why didn't we just land directly in the city?" Stelle scratched her head with her left hand while holding a baseball bat in the other. A small clown mask dangled from her waist.

"What are you thinking?" March 7th, gripping her bow tightly, quickly explained, "This world is obviously at a low level of civilization. If we suddenly appeared in the middle of a city, it would definitely cause an uproar."

Welt adjusted his glasses and nodded. "March is right. To avoid unnecessary trouble, it's best to land in an uninhabited area."

Stelle rolled up her sleeves. "Makes sense. So now we should make contact with the locals and learn more about this place."

"Hopefully, we won't run into trouble right away."

March 7th puffed out her chest confidently. "Even if we do, it's not a big deal. In a world like this, where they haven't even stepped beyond their planet, my Six-Phased Ice will teach them a lesson. Plus, you have that Stellaron inside you that can destroy a planet, and Uncle Yang has his black hole."

Stelle proudly raised her bat. "Well said! My bat is itching for action."

Welt, maintaining his serious demeanor, couldn't help but twitch a little. They were here to explore, not to invade. How had they started assuming hostility before even meeting the locals?

"Hmm?"

Welt glanced in a certain direction and warned, "Someone's approaching. They must have been drawn by our arrival. Be cautious."

March 7th excitedly rolled up her sleeves. "Great! We're meeting the locals right away!"

Stelle gripped her bat tightly, eyes sharp. "I'm ready. The first second of an encounter often turns into a fight—it's common sense in worlds like this."

March 7th rolled her eyes. "Alright, alright. Don't get too into character."

From not too far away, voices drifted through the trees.

"The light we saw earlier should have been around here."

"Akame, you saw it too, right?"

"Yes, it was this way."

"Why isn't it here? Lubbock, use your Teigu to search."

"Ah, my 'Cross Tail' doesn't have eyes, even if I use it, I wouldn't know for sure."

"I smell something."

"Akame, what did you smell?"

"It's a strange scent... never smelled it before. Over there, that must be where the shooting star landed."

"Follow Akame!"

The rustling sound of grass being brushed aside grew louder.

A girl with long, waist-length black hair emerged from the bushes. She wore a tight-fitting, sleeveless black and red top and a black pleated skirt.

In her hand, she held a long katana with a red hilt. Her crimson eyes were calm and emotionless, and her expression remained indifferent, as if naturally devoid of emotion.

Three figures, dressed in attire completely different from that of the Empire's residents, came into Akame's view, causing her expression to freeze for a moment.

"Huh? People?"

"Akame, don't run so fast." A tall, blonde woman with a carefree demeanor and a voluptuous figure followed closely behind her.

"Huh?"

A pink twin-tailed girl emerged next, followed by a tall and short pair of men.

"Eh? People?"

What were people doing here? Could it be they had also followed the falling meteor, just like them?

But how could ordinary people possibly venture into this forest, filled with dangerous beasts?

Could anyone who made it here really be considered "ordinary"?

Moreover, the three newcomers didn't even have a speck of dust on them.

As seasoned assassins, their ability to discern small details was top-notch.

Hiss—

In an instant, the Night Raid members tensed up, their muscles tightening instinctively.

"Yo~ Nice to meet you all!" March 7th, sensing the sudden shift in atmosphere, extended her hand in a friendly greeting.

Welt, after observing the five newcomers for a few seconds, had already completed his analysis.

Judging by their appearance, these five were no ordinary residents. The calluses on their hands, the subtle sharpness in their eyes, and the faint twitches in their hand muscles indicated they were accustomed to battle—likely people who had experienced frequent combat or even killing.

Based on their expressions and demeanor, they seemed to lean more toward justice. However, their habitual tendency to conceal their movements suggested they were not affiliated with official forces.

Rogue warriors? Mercenaries? Adventurers?

"Oh, hello there," Leone responded in an overly casual manner, as if nothing were amiss, greeting them with enthusiasm. However, her fingers quietly moved toward the Teigu she wore as a belt.

"Are you guys here for that falling meteor too?"

She subtly glanced at her teammates, signaling them.

This area was close to their Night Raid hideout. These three strangers were clearly not ordinary people. If they were secret operatives from the Empire, things could get ugly fast.

Welt, noticing their tense posture, spoke calmly, "Meteor? That wasn't a meteor. It was the phenomenon caused by our descent to the surface."

It seemed there was some misunderstanding. Although he wasn't sure exactly what, it was best to clarify their purpose and origins first.

"Please, stay calm. We are not your enemies, nor do we harbor any ill intentions."

March 7th made a strange face, thinking, Wow, that escalated quickly. We've only just arrived, and we're already in trouble? Is my luck really that bad?

She looked at the five tense locals and tried again, placing a hand on her chest in a gesture of goodwill.

"Ah, no need to be so tense! We're not bad guys."

"My name is March 7th, this is Welt, and this is Stelle. We are Nameless passengers aboard the Astral Express."

"We just descended into your world, and you guys are the first—uh, the first five locals we've met."

Stelle proudly introduced herself, standing with hands on her hips.

"That's right! I'm Stelle. You can also call me the galactic batter!"

March 7th rolled her eyes. "Hey, this isn't the time for jokes."

Akame, Leone, Mine, Lubbock, and Bulat exchanged glances, silently communicating.

As assassins, they could keenly sense killing intent, malice, or corruption from a person—something honed after eliminating countless irredeemable criminals.

Judging by their instincts, these three newcomers didn't seem evil.

"You're saying... you are the meteor? Descended to the ground? Something about an Astral Express?" Leone squinted in suspicion. "So, are you telling us... you're from the heavens?"
