Chapter 655: 655 Fairy Tail: The Fall of Jude Hearfilia, A Fortune Can't Buy a Single Tear, Lucy Future Wife?!, The Alliance Breaks, Fairy Tail Declaration of War.

Lucy looked out the window after finishing writing in her diary. Her life had only improved day by day.

"...?"

She felt the movement on her neck and held the chain she was wearing, which had two objects: one was a precious pendant, and the other a precious ring that Lucy was very embarrassed to wear, but she did not part with it as if it were the most valuable object in the world.

"Hm~" With a smile, she stood up, not knowing that soon an encounter would shatter her peace.

....

The afternoon was painted orange as a regretful man strolled down the cobblestone streets.

This was Jude Heartfilia, once one of the richest men in Fiore. Now he moved forward dressed in second-hand clothes and a brown cloak, with a thick beard that only proved how far he had fallen.

He was no longer the man he once had been. His steps carried no arrogance, only exhaustion. His presence no longer imposed respect, but showed the heavy weight of defeat. A man who once had everything now had nothing.

Jude stopped in front of a large building with an old-fashioned design...

"Is this it? Lucy..." His voice carried regret. Beyond losing his fortune, losing his daughter was something he could never forgive himself for. And yet, just like that time after Allen's beating, he did not think of asking for forgiveness. He didn't believe he deserved it.

He hadn't decided to visit Lucy on a whim. For days he had doubted, turning the thought over in his head again and again. A part of him told him it was better to stay away. But another part, the one that had awakened after his confrontation with Allen, pushed him to take this step.

The hotel entrance rose before him. He drew a deep breath and pushed the doors open.

Inside, the atmosphere was warm, bright, elegant, and filled with the scent of fresh tea. Jude was surprised; as someone who had lived a life of luxury, he knew how priceless a place like this was. He walked to the reception, but found no one there. Just as he was about to call out—

Lucy appeared. She was coming down the stairs, distracted, as if thinking about what she would do later. Until her eyes met his.

Time seemed to stop.

"Father..." Lucy's voice was low, tense, and tinged with surprise.

"Lucy..." Jude bowed his head, unable to hold her gaze for long. His lips wanted to say so much, yet no words came out. He was ashamed of being such a poor father.

The silence between them was heavy, uncomfortable. Lucy crossed her arms—not out of anger, but discomfort, as if placing an invisible shield between them. Yet soon, old memories surfaced and irritation sparked in her eyes.

"What are you doing here?" she finally asked, wary.

"I was nearby… and I wanted to see you." His voice was hoarse, unsteady. No longer the authoritative tone of the past, but one broken, human.

Lucy observed him quietly, and her eyes widened at his appearance. She didn't see the man who had pressured her, who had tried to control her life. Before her stood someone different, nearly unrecognizable.

Jude breathed deeply and awkwardly pulled something from his cloak. "I've lost everything... the Heartfilia railroads are gone, all my properties, all my money, everything I built over decades—my empire vanished."

Jude smiled bitterly. He had sacrificed his daughter for wealth, and now that wealth was gone. Which meant he had pushed Lucy away for nothing.

Lucy's eyes widened. "That's impossible! How?! What about the mansion?! And Mother's grave?!"

Jude smiled faintly and pulled out a deed. "Don't worry. I managed to save the mansion by putting it in your name before they took everything. Here is the deed. Layla's resting place is safe… I promise."

Lucy didn't know how to respond, but relief washed over her.

Jude extended his hand. "Take it. It's yours now."

"But…"

"If I keep it, it might disappear too," Jude said softly.

Lucy couldn't understand how he had fallen from the richest man in Fiore to this, but he was right. The mansion wasn't as important as her mother's grave. She accepted the papers gently, as if holding something fragile. She looked at them, then at her father.

"Consider it…" Jude hesitated. "A wedding gift."

The tension shattered, and Lucy turned as red as a tomato in seconds. "A w-what?! I'm not, well, I am! But ahhh!"

Jude let out a weak, nostalgic laugh. How long had it been since he had seen that expression on his daughter's face?

"I'm glad to see that young man is keeping his promise…" Jude lowered his eyes. "Anyway, I just wanted to give you something… even if it's not much."

He turned on his heel, ready to leave.

Lucy watched him take a step, then another. Her chest tightened. She didn't know why, but seeing him walk away hurt more than she expected. Late regret often mattered less than a weed, but for some reason, it was enough for Lucy not to hate him entirely.

"Wait!" she suddenly cried out.

Jude stopped. He didn't turn back.

Lucy swallowed nervously, hesitating, but finally spoke. "I… I'm fine. I'm happy—with my life, with my friends. I want you to know that."

He stood silently, listening.

Lucy pulled out her pendant, where her ring also hung. She slipped it onto her finger and smiled brightly. Her cheeks burned, but she continued. "I'm engaged. I have a future… and I'm not alone."

Jude finally turned. His eyes widened slightly, and something inside him broke—not from sadness, but from relief. His daughter had achieved what he never gave her: freedom and her own path.

His lips trembled, unable to form words. "Congratulations… Lucy."

Lucy lowered her gaze, breathing deeply. "I hated you, Father. For a long time. But now… not anymore. I can't say everything's forgiven, but I don't want this to be the end either."

A tear slipped from her eyes. Without thinking, she stepped forward and embraced him.

Jude froze. He hadn't expected such a gesture. His hands shook, hesitated, but finally wrapped around his daughter awkwardly. The hug was strange, imperfect, but real.

"Thank you," he murmured, voice breaking. "At last, I understand what that young man tried to show me. All my money isn't worth a single one of your tears… Lucy."

Lucy didn't reply. Her tears soaked his coat as she held him tightly. The silence spoke louder than words.

Time seemed to stop, and for an instant, the wound no longer bled. It wasn't healed, but it wasn't incurable anymore.

A few meters away, leaning against the wall, Allen watched in silence. A calm smile formed on his lips, unlike the ones he usually wore. The hotel was impenetrable to outsiders, so obviously Allen had let Jude in.

Jude finally pulled away. "Don't be like me. Raise a big, happy family."

Lucy blushed and gave her father a weak punch on the shoulder.

"Go already!"

Jude laughed for the first time in ages before leaving. He had decided to start over. After all, he didn't want to be a bitter old man who couldn't buy toys for his future grandchildren.

Lucy stood there, watching him leave, feeling a heavy weight lift off her shoulders.

"That was nice," a casual voice said, leaning closer.

Lucy jumped at the sound of Allen's voice beside her.

"What are you doing here?!" she spun around, face burning.

Allen raised his brows, amused. "This is my house. Of course I'm here. Why so red? Does it have to do with the ring on your finger?"

"It's not like that!" Lucy snatched the ring off and slipped it back onto her necklace, then pouted. "Don't jump to conclusions! I'm still not sure if a womanizer makes a good husband. I'm still evaluating you!"

Allen grinned playfully. "So it was just my imagination seeing you tell your father you were getting married—ring and all?"

"It's not like that!" Lucy snapped, waving her hands nervously. "Stop smiling like that, you idiot!"

Unable to handle the embarrassment, Lucy tried to cover Allen's mouth with her hands, but he dodged, and she ended up chasing him all around until she caught him and pushed him down onto a bed.

The situation seemed strangely convenient. Lucy realized Allen had probably planned it all along to lure her there.

"You shameless schemer…" Lucy muttered, blushing.

"That's right…" Allen replied, pulling her closer.

"Pervert…" Lucy growled, eyes narrowing, lips parting slightly.

"That I am—but only with the girls I like…" Allen's hand slid along her neck, caressing her skin as his lips nearly touched hers.

"Womanizer…" Lucy whispered, her breath warm and trembling.

"I'm confused. Was that an insult or an invitation?" Allen teased one last time.

"Just shut up…"

"At your command, princess…"

Lucy and Allen kissed. It was intense and full of heat. In that moment, she felt she owed everything to this man who had changed her life, who had protected her since the day they met, who had even mended the bond with her father.

Lucy pulled away, gasping for air, her body weak. "I think I'm starting to understand how you trick so many girls…"

Allen smirked, flipping her beneath him. "You haven't seen anything yet…"

Lucy swallowed, her body heating with both fear and anticipation.

"Since you'll be my girlfriend someday… wouldn't it be good to practice?"

"P-practice?! What?! Being a wife?!" Lucy choked at such a suggestion.

"You heard your father's order—'Be happy and raise a big family.' And I'm a man who respects his elders…"

"$#&#!"

Lucy cursed, red as a tomato. This shameless guy always called Makarov an old geezer, but now claimed he respected elders?!

Lucy pushed Allen away and ran for the door. Before leaving, she turned and stuck her tongue out at him.

"You big pervert!"

Allen laughed. Perhaps he should have chosen his words more carefully. For now, it seemed his "future wife practice" would have to wait.

.....

(Three days later)

Allen entered the guild with a commanding presence, returning from his first meeting with guild masters. His gaze was fierce, instantly putting everyone on edge.

"I have an important announcement," Allen said sternly, drawing everyone's attention. His serious eyes swept across the guild before speaking again:

"Prepare yourselves—we're going to destroy the Oración Seis!"

The guild froze in silence for a moment before erupting into chaos. Had Allen just said that Fairy Tail would attack the entire Baram Alliance?!

"H-Huh?" Reedus started trembling.

"Allen?!" Cana dropped her barrel.

"Master?!" Wakaba spat out his beer.

Natsu jumped up. "I don't get it, but I'm fired up!"

Gajeel smirked. "Kekeke, I like that idea, Master."

Gray sighed shirtless. "Here we go again..."

Erza, Lucy, and Juvia remained calm, already accustomed to Allen's follies—like suddenly getting bored during a mission and deciding to wipe out a dark guild, or experimenting with potions and ending up capturing criminals as test subjects.

Allen appeared on the second floor, looking down on them like a hero about to face the Demon King.

"This is a delicate matter. For years, the peace of our citizens has been threatened by these dark guilds. They're not good people—they kill, they steal, extort, kidnap, sell all kinds of illegal artifacts, including ones that manipulate and hypnotize others..." Allen's expression turned sorrowful.

People were suspicious, Allen had a reputation for being shameless, but his words seemed sincere.

"I… I haven't slept for weeks… because every time I close my eyes, I think of all the defenseless people suffering under the Baram Alliance." Then his gaze grew sharp. "That's why I'll make them taste my fist of love! Because love hurts—and I have so much love it can't fit in just a hundred women!"

...What the hell?!

For a brief moment, the guild almost felt moved by Allen's speech. But the ending reminded them he was nothing more than a shameless womanizer. The last line wasn't just outrageous—it was straight-up lewd if taken the wrong way.

Levy blushed in embarrassment and cursed under her breath. Cana looked away, which Laki noticed with wide-eyed shock.

"Cana!"

Cana lunged at Laki, covering her mouth and whispering frantically, "Please don't tell anyone!"

Laki nodded, though she couldn't help feeling jealous. Somehow, Cana had managed to slip past the four guardians constantly watching Allen and end up in his bed.

Erza stood up, followed by Lucy and Juvia, all three ignoring the shameless speech as they approached Mirajane, who had walked in behind Allen but stood there with an ironic smile.

"Mira... what happened?" Erza asked tiredly, though the real question was "What did he do this time?"

Mirajane sighed, chuckled dryly, and shook her head. Even now, she couldn't fully believe what had happened.

It all began two days ago…

Just as Allen was starting to settle into his role as guild master, Makarov reminded him of something important. Allen had yet to formally introduce himself to the other guild masters. Coincidentally, there was a regular meeting scheduled for the next day. At first, Makarov thought it would be best not to attend and give Allen more time to adjust, but he changed his mind.

Allen would have to attend the regular guild master's meeting. The problem was, Makarov didn't want to send him alone—he already knew Allen's personality. But accompanying him himself would have been inappropriate, like treating Allen as a child who couldn't handle his responsibilities.

So, with the matter on the table, Mirajane—who already carried many responsibilities within the guild—was chosen to go with him.

Makarov also had another motive for this meeting and that was to form an alliance with other guilds to confront the Baram Alliance.

The trip to Clover Town was peaceful...

Mirajane sighed. "But that's where the problems began."

Allen was much younger than the other guild masters. As a result, the veterans—who often treated these regular meetings as excuses to drink and party—decided to play a little prank on him, like a classic initiation for the newcomer.

From the start, things went downhill. They offered him "advice," acted kind, but with a patronizing tone, as if he were a rowdy grandson rather than the new master of Fairy Tail.

That made Allen smile dangerously. He wasn't the type to slaughter people over insults—his ego wasn't that fragile. At least now, Allen had far better control over his emotions than before. Besides, many of the mages there were old friends of Makarov, so Allen restrained himself.

"I did everything I could to prevent it," Mirajane continued. "But then Jenny showed up..."

"Jenny? Jenny Realight?!" Lucy exclaimed. She knew her well. Jenny was a stunning girl who had a fierce rivalry with Mirajane, constantly competing for the title of most beautiful mage in Weekly Sorcerer.

Erza frowned. "Did she try to flirt with Allen?"

Lucy and Juvia also frowned, their jealousy flaring. It was strange—when it came to themselves, the four girls competed fairly for Allen's attention, but the moment someone else entered the picture, they instantly turned defensive and territorial.

Mirajane blinked, an ominous aura leaking from her body. "I wouldn't say she flirted. Jenny-chan wouldn't dare. She just... didn't know her place. I'm sure she only wanted to meet Fairy Tail's young genius guild master, Allen Walker, out of curiosity. And even though I know Jenny-chan isn't a slut, that personality of hers makes people think otherwise..."

Mirajane recalled Jenny Realight—a beautiful eighteen-year-old with long wavy blonde hair, blue eyes, full lips, a slim waist, and large breasts. While Mirajane often surpassed Jenny in popularity, there were times when Jenny nearly overtook her. Her beauty was undeniable. But her narcissistic, coquettish personality made Mirajane despise her.

"So, with all the kindness in the world, I asked her not to bother my master. Ufufufu~"

Erza, Lucy, and Juvia exchanged glances. They had all expected Mirajane to go full demon mode in that situation. But she handled it surprisingly well.

Unfortunately, Jenny failed to sense the danger and didn't back down. This led to a tense exchange of glares. Then, some old pervert suggested the two of them settle it with a swimsuit contest. Allen immediately punched the man.

Mirajane blushed at the memory. "Then he told them, 'I don't care who you are. But if you dare to lust after my woman in front of me, I'll break your legs…' Everyone was stunned." Her expression darkened at the memory of Jenny's starry-eyed gaze, but she brushed it aside. "After that, Allen carried me out like a princess and declared, 'Fairy Tail doesn't need any alliance. We'll crush Oración Seis ourselves!!'"

Mirajane touched her flushed cheek as she remembered that moment. But then her smile faded. Because of Allen's declaration—and the other guild masters' mistakes—the alliance never formed. Now, Fairy Tail would be forced to face Oración Seis alone.

"Don't worry," Allen said with complete confidence, making it clear this wasn't a joke. "I know it looks tough, but I believe in all of you. And more importantly—I believe in myself!"

His voice echoed through the guild hall. "Oración Seis, Grimoire Heart, and Tartaros—we won't just defeat them. We'll crush them completely!"

The guild was left breathless. This wasn't one of Allen's pranks or whims. The bastard was dead serious.

Fairy Tail was about to start a war with the Baram Alliance!
